I had a lovely time doing this house sit and Boost and Caspar are wonderful! The house is a short walk to the beach and other trails and the house itself is great with a large backyard for playing with Caspar! There’s a lovely conservatory as well which is where Boost and I spent most of our time :) I would recommend this sit to someone who has some experience handling animals as Boost and Caspar are given oral medications, but they are both really good at taking them! Boost eats throughout the day due to a thyroid disorder so maybe a sitter who worked from home in some capacity would be ideal. I found that Boost loved to interact while I was working on my computer as well which was my favorite! Everything about this sit was great, very organized and I’m hoping to be able to do this sit again in the future!
Sitting for Diem and her pack (Wolfgang and Ziggy) was absolutely fantastic!! Her place was cozy and spotless and the boys sooooo well behaved!! Walking them is easy and fun and I miss them dearly! Can’t wait to be back as I’ve found 3 wonderful new friends in LA! <3 Would recommend this sit without hesitation for every dog lover!!
I loved my time at Karen and Tim's home with the boys Fozzie, Zorro, and Diego! Fozzie is such a sweet pup who loves to go on walks and snuggle. Diego and Zorro are sweet cats who loved to play and everyone got along so well. Karen is so hospitable and made my job so much easier by having everything laid out and ready for my stay!
Vanessa, Matthew and their kids were super welcoming when we arrived - their kids and ours had fun playing while we went over the care needed for the pets! Sweet and shy Ruby, and the cats Coco and Cosmo were super easy to care for. Their house is beautiful and our children loved playing pool, jumping on the tramp, and walking Ruby. We would 100% recommend sitting for Vanessa and Matthew!
Allison is very laid back and friendly. Her instructions are clear and easy to follow. Blue (aka Wiggle Butt) is so funny and she was a trooper as I tried to get my daily steps in. I would most definitely housesit again!
This was a lovely house sit. Carol was very friendly and welcomed me into her home 2 nights before the sit began so that the cats could get used to me and so that she could show me around Hamilton. She even took me food shopping. Henry and Larry are the most adorable cats. It did take quite a long time to get them to come around to me (possibly due to all the fireworks going off in my first week there) but once they did, the rewards were great. They both love their cuddles and their treats. They love playing with a pink string toy and play fighting with each other. They gave me so much amusement and many cuddles during my time there. Carol’s house and garden is very relaxing and the street is quiet. The house is well equipped and the bed was very comfy. There was also ample space to hang my clothes. Public transport is adequate but there can be long gaps between buses, so time them carefully. The Hamilton Gardens are beautiful and there are lovely walks by the river. Hobbiton is not far away either. I would not hesitate to recommend this house sit if you are fortunate enough to be chosen. I still miss Henry and Larry. They are very special cats.
