Molly and Buster! So sweet and affectionate; they were a joy. I miss them! The house is very comfortable, and a 4 minute walk to the bus. Chris and Dwayne were wonderful too, going out of their way to make sure I had whatever I needed--including a roaring fire in the fireplace and the right t.v. channel to watch the super bowl! If you want to explore Portland and come home to 2 sweet pets, I recommend this sit!!

I could not have asked for a nicer way to get started on Trusted Housesitters! Quinn and Mark were excellent host who provided everything necessary to have an excellent time. In addition to clearly laying out how to care for their two cats, they also showed me around the neighbourhood, introduced me to some delicious restaurants, and shared some insight (and an amazing food map!) about the area. When they were away, they were quick to respond to questions.

Chocolate and Domino were great company, with Domino enjoying lots of playing and Chocolate enjoying her spots under the bed/beside Quinn’s desk and occasionally moving to a sunlit perch by the patio. Chocolate needs medication every morning and takes the pill quite easily. I’m going to miss my first furry roommates!

The location of the apartment couldn’t be better — you’re right on two major metro lines and can get around Lisbon easily and quickly.

Thank you Quinn, Mark, Domino & Chocolate!

Loveliest family, pets, location, home and experience !
Had a really wonderful time, Gilbey the puppy was super cute and accompanied me every day on my adventures through Brighton, Hove and Lewes.
He’s very pub friendly too, and is happy to chill at your feet while you enjoy the English pub culture- I think he had as much fun as I did !
The cats are easy and friendly, especially Pickle who loves a chat and a pat.
Communication was always easy and I felt at home from the moment I arrived. I’m really grateful for this experience and I highly recommend this sit to others in the future.

What’s not to love about this sit??? Highly recommend!

Super quiet, completely safe neighborhood with Magruder Park nearby, which has nice paths and trails for walking. Chic, fun shops nearby (and a Whole Foods!) and a mile from DC. Don’t forget to eat at Franklin’s, a single-owned restaurant with excellent brews within walking distance from the house - yum!!! - and it has a large, built-in curio/local/toy shop attached.

Magical Maggie’s sweet historical house is small but very sweet and clean, and exceptionally well-organized and equipped. The kitchen is great (and I’m a cook): gas stove, great counter space, good cookware and appliances, etc. The living room couch is super comfy, and the sitter’s bedroom is really nicely decorated and has a perfect bed. I felt completely spoiled.

Maggie is a really good communicator - responsive, clear, funny, caring - and a wonderful, interesting person.

The two kitties Libbie Louise and Calvin the Calvinator were a pleasure to take care of and cracked me up a lot. I also got to meet her two pups who are adorable, affectionate, and “well behaved” (= totally manageable).

Miss Libbie, 6 year old kitty, is full of spunk and personality and loves to chat with her high-pitched tiny meow. She is also very affectionate towards and often grooms (kisses) Calvin, 13, who is an older tom who looks just like the main man in the Disney movie “The AristoCATs”. They go everywhere together and cuddle a lot - it’s adorable. They were loving playing with some new toys, which was great fun. Make sure to make them run after, jump for, and grab after the feathery, furry things (Calvin has a particularly mean paw!)

Dave & Gendy
Dave and Gendy were great hosts and the house is beautiful and comfortable. Dakota and Luna were fun and friendly. We enjoyed a trip to the Rockies, local restaurants and farmers market and sitting in the backyard

Anne
Anne and Eric were welcoming and friendly and informative about their living situation and the care for their dogs and chickens. Both dogs were very likable and appreciated all the attention you could give. The house is in a safe, quiet neighborhood (except on the Fourth of July, but no place in Santa Cruz is safe from that...) and I would be happy to sit for them all again!
