It was an absolute pleasure to sit for Alison and Toby in their beautiful home. Communication with Alison was ideal - really enjoyable and really easy. Alison had left us numerous generous and thoughtful gifts, even though we were only sitting for a few days. The toys she left out for the kids had them entertained for our entire stay! We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the farm with the dogs, watering the beautiful garden, cooking on the Aga, and relaxing in the snug, and slept so well in the comfortable beds. And what a joy it was to look after the brood! Both Musto and Darcey are wonderfully-natured dogs, and so easy to love and look after. They were great with our 1 and 4-year old kids, and, after a stint sitting in their familiar car boot on the first day, joined us in the house or garden for the rest of our time. They were easy to walk off lead, impeccably behaved, loved a tummy rub and were calm & enjoyable company. Rosie and Marley were beautiful, friendly, fluffy, elderly cats who loved being stroked by all (even our baby!). And to be greeted by a stunning peacock throughout the day was wonderful for us all! I would most definitely recommend this sit, and would be thrilled to be invited back.
Morris, Rita and Magi stole our hearts. They were delightful dogs to look after, each with their own unique personality. Maureen and Steve welcomed us into their beautiful home with a meal the evening before they left for a much needed holiday. Arriving the day before also gave us the opportunity to get to know the house, the dogs and their routines. There are lots of lovely walks almost on their doorstep. Bracing beach and hill walks and more sedate walks at the local cricket club grounds. We met lots of other doggies and their humans on these walks which gave Rita, Morris and Magi the opportunity to socialise. There is an excellent dog friendly café locally, where we would pop in for coffee after the morning walk. Their home is very comfortable, well appointed and easy to look after. As it was minus 5 on some days when we were there, it was a lovely to come home to the log burner and supper after a frosty walk. Our bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. We would not hesitate to house and dog sit for Maureen and Steve again.
Such sweet pups - I would love to spend more time with them. Talla is even more amazing in real life than the pics. They are well behaved. Family is fabulous. Such a lovely new family!
We absolutely loved looking after Gus! He's a quirky dog with a kind soul. He is very easy going and gets along with all the other dogs so very easy to look after. Cheryl was a lovely, generous and kind host. She went above and beyond to make our experience really pleasant. Cheryl gave us very clear and simple instructions to look after Gus and gave us local knowledge to explore the really cool suburb of kadikoy. Communication with Cheryl was effortless. Definitely the most enjoyable petsit we have done! We would pet sit again for Cheryl in a heartbeat.
I had a nice time looking after Capucine who is a sweet affectionate cate who loves nothing more than snuggling up on the couch with you. Thr apartment is light and lovely and in a great neighbourhood to explore in Amsterdam with a lovely outlook over the water. Communication with Lea and Antoine was clear, recommend this sit.
I had a great time watching the super sweet dog, Chisos and looking after the chickens at Sarah's house over a short weekend sit. Sarah's home is comfortable and in a great location on a quiet street, and her dog really loved cuddles and being pet and shown love. It was cool seeing how chickens are kept and what they eat and harvesting their blue and brown eggs, as I definitely want to raise my own in the future. Highly recommend this sit! :)
