Debbie and Steve are very welcoming and my stay with them was like visiting friends. They took me from and to the train station, cooked delicious meals we shared, let me stay in their house even when they were back home and gave me the choice to stay in their beautiful B&B too. The veggie patch was there to enjoy and watering was hardly necessary eventhough it was reaaly hot. I absolutely loved sitting for and staying with them. Of course not in the least for Layla and Barney, their lovely doggies. Barney immediately loved playing, cuddling and walking with me. Layla took a few hours to warm up to me but when she had, we bonded so well. I missed them as soon as I left and I still do. Layla also is a supersweet dog who wants to be and play with you all day if she can. They both loved the beautiful walks we made in the countryside, the wonderful park near the river and even through the beautiful Bradford with nice little shops and of course The Dog House. They are fond of each other, well trained and I could take them everywhere without any problems. Also I could leave them behind when I went off for shopping and cream tea in the too cute and award winning Bridge Tea Rooms. The best ever! When Steve and Debbie were home, they facilitated a day on my own to Bath, one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen, only 15 mns away by train. So, need I say more to recommend this sit? If you get the chance, enjoy!
We absolutely loved this sit! Kerry was so warm and welcoming. Her home is cozy and comfortable, we felt at home right away. Now onto the best part… Charlie is seriously one of the sweetest kitties we’ve ever met. He warmed up to us instantly and loved getting cuddles which we were happy to provide. We absolutely recommend this sit and would be more than happy to return!
Ruby and Jack are the loveliest pets we’ve met so far, just the sweetest. This property is gorgeous, spacious, comfortable and super centrally located in Richmond. We already look forward to returning.
Olly & Luca were absolutely amazing and the best of hosts. Because we were on a nearby sit prior to starting their sit we were able to visit their house ahead of time and that allowed them to show us around and to meet our lovely "host" Toby. As they were leaving early on the day of the sit, we arranged for me (Andrew) to arrive the evening before and Olly & Luca made me feel welcome and treated me to a delicious salmon supper. Sheena arrived the next morning and received a wonderful welcome from Toby. Toby is the cutest cat you could ever meet and very photogenic. He has a wonderful personality and is highly inquisitive and playful, loves attention, and belly rubs. He loves to play with his toys (and shopping bags ;-) He was wonderful company, easy to care for, and he was the highlight of our stay - we are already missing him!! I had to check Sheena's bag before we left to make sure Toby wasn't in there!! Olly & Luca have a wonderful modern home in Surbiton. They live in a relatively quiet complex just a 5 minute walk away from the high street with access to lots of coffee shops, cafes, pubs and supermarkets (Waitrose and Sainsbury’s are on your doorstep and other local convenience stores are within walking distance). Kingston upon Thames is a 25 minute walk away (along the River Thames) where you will be spoiled for all the big shops. They are close to major bus routes and the train station means you can get into the City very easily. This was a wonderful sit and would love the opportunity to do it all again in the future. It’s not hard to fall in love with Nelson - he is a great companion! Josh gave clear instructions, he showed me a walk in the local area, and was easily contactable throughout the stay. This being their first THS sit, everything was well organised, making us both feel at ease. It was a pleasure caring for Nelson and the home, and I highly recommend this sit.
Ashley was very helpful and responsive to my texts. Everything was straightforward, and her cats were really sweet. Their place is really nice and well located in Manhattan. I definitely recommend house sitting for Ashley.
