House sitting for Ginny, Ed and "Beasley" was a real joy for us -- they are very friendly and gracious hosts, with a dog (Beasley) that we fell in love with! We met the day before and were provided all the information we needed for a trouble free stay, including a delicious dinner. Their house is spacious and has everything one might need for a comfortable stay, including a fantastic view of Lake Washington. Beasley is quite the charmer, with a real personality that loved taking walks with us and being played with in their large backyard. We hope to stay in contact with them and look forward to sitting for them again in the future!
I had a wonderful stay at Tanya's place, and spent a great time with her cats, Zozzy and Zena. Tanya was warm and welcoming, and her flat had a beautiful view overlooking a lovely park. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony with Zozzy and Zena and taking sun and the view. Zena and Zozzy were very easy to look after and were fantastic company. They both were playful and had very cute personalities, I even received a toy mouse as a New Year's present from Zozzy. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend Tanya's place.
Trevor is such a good boy! It’s easy to maintain his routine, he’s literally gonna tell you what he wants and when he wants it! He’s very affectionate and responsive to treats, we easily got him off leash and he trusted us immediately. The house is beautiful and in a very good position, we went to Richmond Park and Trevor was very excited to chase squirrels :•) Claire was super kind and gave us a map of the park nearby. You’re going to feel as if Trevor is taking you out for a tour 😂 We also took him at a cafe and he sat under the table without making a sound. I'm gonna miss the cuddles on the sofa! Thanks again Claire!
It was a great pleasure to look after Griff and this beautiful bungalow. Lucie and Wilf are very friendly , nice people and the communication was always perfect! When we arrived Griff was very happy but we took it slowly for him to gain our trust. In a few hours we made great friends and had walks with him along the beach and cliffs. He is very clever and stays away from cars but still he was always on the lead and always well- behaved. He loves playing with tennis balls in the lovely garden. Sometimes he slept with us but he is happy to sleep on his own too. The house is so nice and clean. Lucie was so kind - she left for us a homemade bread which is the most delicious bread I have ever tasted. There was also some food for us as we arrived quite late and didn’t have time for grocery. The location is really beautiful with stunning views, just 10-15 min walk to the beach. If you are lucky with the weather- get a chance to swim! We also walked to Aberystwyth but if you prefer to drive it is just 10 min away. If you decide to walk- you will go past incredible sceneries. We had a great experience with Griff. My daughter cried when we had to say goodbye. All in all Wales is an amazing country and we were happy to have a chance to visit it and look after Griff in this beautiful bungalow where we felt like home full of love and warm atmosphere. With Buddy, it was a slightly different sit this time. Unfortunately, since he is very afraid of strangers, it was incredible difficult or almost impossible to develop a relationship with the black tomcat. While there was always small progress over a period of two weeks, Buddy's comfort zone had to be strictly respected. Buddy likes to sit outside on the balcony and luckily, despite his shyness, he ate his food with a good appetite. In the big apartment he has a few favorite places where he likes to be undisturbed. Silke's and Cory's apartment is very spacious and is in a quiet residential area. The transport connection is perfect, there is a bus stop just a few metres away. Hopefully future sitters can continue to build trust with Buddy! But I would also like to come back :-)
