Jack has been an absolute dream as a (repeat) housesitter, this time taking care of our home for about ten days. From the moment we left, we knew everything was in the best possible hands. Jack was incredibly attentive to all the needs of our home, plants, and animals, and his dedication showed in every detail. One of the standout things this time around was how well he took care of our garden. We had recently planted a few new things, including a pumpkin patch, and Jack watered everything with such care. It’s clear he has a green thumb, as everything was thriving when we got back. Jack kept the garden in great shape—especially our nascent pumpkin patch. It's not easy keeping up with new plantings, but Jack did an incredible job. He was also flexible when our travel plans were disrupted. When our flights got delayed and rescheduled, Jack didn’t hesitate to adjust to our return schedule. He graciously extended his stay, ensuring that everything at home continued running smoothly until we got back. His flexibility was such a relief during a stressful time, and we’re so grateful for that. On top of all that, the house was immaculate when we returned. Jack left everything in perfect condition, even better than we left it! He went above and beyond, leaving us a thoughtful gift of pumpkin spice coffee, which was such a warm welcome home. Our chickens grew a lot under his care, and both Ollie, our dog, and Belle, our cat, absolutely adore him. They were happy and content when we got home, which speaks volumes about the love and attention Jack gives them. It's clear that Ollie and Belle feel safe and comfortable with him. Jack's regular check-ins were great, giving us peace of mind, but he’s also incredibly self-sufficient, which meant we could truly relax while we were away. We honestly couldn’t ask for a better housesitter, and we feel so lucky to have Jack looking after everything when we're away. We’ll absolutely be having him back and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and thoughtful housesitter.

Highly recommended.

We arrived the night before as Jackie was leaving very early the next morning. She warmly welcomed us into her home, showing us where everything is and even cooked dinner. Jackie is a kind, smart and interesting person, who probably stayed up too late as we were chatted so much :)

Her pets are absolute stars with strangers which is a testament as to how loved and secure they feel. Frazzles the cat was fantastic, pushing past the dogs to snuggle on the couch and we loved spending time with her. Both dogs were great to walk, well trained, polite around the house and lots of fun. Bennie the Pug (aka Mr Snuffleluffagus) is a definite character who made us laugh every day, while Treacle would sneak onto the bed at night for a cuddle.

Woolstone in Milton Keynes is a great area with many walking paths through fields and along waterways, plus only a short drive to decent shops. We loved every moment and would definitely sit again if requested.

It was a joy to house and pet-sit for Layla and Odin (Odi). They are very sweet and well-behaved doggies; if you say ‘wait’ before crossing the street, they will instantly ‘wait’. Odin is a laid-back old man who will gladly follow along everywhere. Everything is fine with him (accept too much ruckus). Layla is a bit of a worry bug and she would have happily stayed home all day and used me as a sofa. But, we were not going to do that of course on the wonderful sunny days we were having and we got in several beautiful long walks in the Vondelpark. Layla got spooked a few times but with some gentle encouragement she would start enjoying her walk again. Layla and Odin’s humans, Eva and Björn, are very welcoming and friendly people who run a tidy and well-organized household. I got very clear instructions on everything, making this sit really easy. Their apartment is beautiful, clean and comfortable. I would gladly sit for them again!

Cheryl and I have just completed our pet sit for Randy and Lynn. I have to say that it was a thoroughly pleasurable experience for us. Their house is absolutely beautiful. Lynn took the time to prepare us dinner when we arrive. She patiently provided us with detailed instructions on how to care for both the horses and the dogs. She even went so far as to prepare and set out the horses’ feed for our entire house sit in advance. This made things so much easier and was very much appreciated. The horses (Jake, Rebel and Hobo) and the dogs (Brandy and Nala) were a joy to look after. I would be honoured to house sit again for Lynn and Randy.

My stay in Vashon was enjoyable and relaxing. Jenny and I communicated often prior to my arrival regarding the pets and home. All the reminders and info about the area were at my fingertips in a Welcome Guide. Reggie, Fabio, and Hazel all welcomed me. Reggie loves playing in the backyard and our outings were refreshing. On a sunny morning Reggie and I visited the Vashon Troll. Overall, a wonderful stay. Thank you!

A delightful stay at Britt's house with stunning views and furry friends!

We recently spent two wonderful weeks at Britt's home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house have an incredible view of the bay, making remote working an absolute pleasure. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent, allowing two of us to work and make video calls without any disruptions.
Britt proved to be a great host. Upon arrival, she picked us up from the ferry and provided a brief overview of the house, neighborhood, our responsibilities, and, of course, introduced us to her beloved pets. She allowed us to use her car, making it easy to explore the city and run errands.
While we didn't receive the welcome guide, so we spent the first few days exploring the house and surroundings. Fortunately, Britt was readily available on WhatsApp throughout our stay, ensuring excellent communication and prompt responses to any questions we had.
While Karlskrona is not a major city, it definitely deserves a visit. Spring/summer would likely offer more activities due to the weather, but our winter stay had its own unique charm.
For those days with less than ideal weather, the house itself offers plenty to keep you entertained. Puzzles, board games, and toys for children are available, or you can simply relax on the couch, enjoy the TV, or spend time with the friendly pets. Britt's house is well-equipped, and the spacious deck provides a fantastic place to unwind, have a coffee, or play with the dogs.
Speaking of the dogs, Orion, Ira, and Putte are absolute delights. We had a wonderful time getting to know them. They are happy and easy to connect with, and we were sad to leave them after forming such a close bond over two weeks.
It's important to note that the dogs do bark when other dogs pass by the house, which can create some noise. Additionally, Ira can be a bit challenging to walk due to her fearfulness. However, we were able to find solutions and distractions that made walks easier. Before the sit we were not aware that the dogs can be left alone for 4-5 hours but it wasn’t an issue during our stay. Britt thoughtfully arranged for the dogs to be cared for during the day, allowing us to go for a full-day trip and explore the surrounding area.
Generally, the dogs love to cuddle and spend time with you. It made the entire experience delightfully easygoing.
Mickey, the cat, is another perfect companion. He's friendly and enjoys playing and spending time with people during their daily activities. He kept us company throughout our stay, and we liked him a lot.
Overall, our experience at Britt's house was fantastic. The beautiful location, comfortable home, and friendly pets made for a truly memorable stay.
