My partner Alex and I had the perfect weeks stay in Bruton at this very special home, filled with inspiring artwork and light - the house is a wonderful combination of spacious and cosy. Mark was there to show us around when we arrived and was easily contactable during our stay. We fell in love with Harley and Ruby who are very different and complimentary characters, both big personalities and loving in their different ways. There is so much to explore in and around Bruton itself and we had fun taking my stepdaughters around the shops and galleries at the weekend. We also enjoyed an evening weekday meal at Matt's Kitchen on the high street, which is a cosy and fun place, and we couldn't resist the sweet and savoury treats available from 'At The Chapel' on most days. We'd recommend this particularly special sit to anyone and would happily return. Thank you Rosie and Mark for inviting us.
Elizabeth and Skye are a lovely couple, with the most adorable family! They made things so easy for me I felt home from the very beginning. The house is absolutely stunning and the views breath-taking. This is the best place for a quiet retreat - even luxury I would say - and to be surrounded by nature and open space at large scale! Polly is the cutest dog ever, very well trained, and very joyful and grateful. Like Ruthie, she will welcome all the care and love she can get! It was such a gift to spend Christmas break here with both of them. I am so thankful for it I would do it again anytime!
What a great area and the sweetest dogs ever. Elizabeth and her husband were so nice and easy to communicate with. They made me feel like their place was my home too! I had such a nice time relaxing in the yard watching boats go by and taking the bike along the riverwalk! Amazing beaches nearby and lots to do within walking distance. Very friendly and safe neighborhood. All my instructions were very clear and made the sit super easy. I’d come back anytime.
We had a lovely time at Aleks apartment in Geneva, with the adorable Skye for company. Communication prior to the sit with Aleks was easy and straightforward, we had a video call to connect with each other and were happy to proceed. We arrived shortly after Aleks had left and getting in was very easy using instructions. Skye was very happy to see us. We had a lovely time over the week and took her on many walks around the neighbourhood. She was very easy to walk around, great on the lead. There were a couple of larger dogs that I think frightened her and she would bark. A firm no and encouragement that she was a good girl, seemed to work very well for her to pass with no incidents. Dan and I definitely came as a package for Skye, she liked it when we stayed together and was upset if we parted. Aleks was available for any questions we had and was very kind and generous. I would 100% recommend sitting Skye, she is a gorgeous girl. Fun to spend time with. We would love to return.
We loved our stay! Eoin and Emma are great, it was really nice meeting them. They received us very well, even let us stay in the main bedroom - which was kind from them. Eoin gave all the necessary instructions to take care of the pets and house. We stayed in contact most of the time. Their guide is huge and was very useful. Besides that, Rua and Ted are great! Rua has a lot of energy, but he's lovely and won't bother if you know how to deal with him. Ted is very independent and doesn't demand much, he sometimes decides to stay around and give us some love 😅 The neighborhood was good, with parks around and lots of transportation available. We would definitely recommend it!
I’m not sure which on the 4 sweet animals I’m going to miss the most. The small cocapoo Oliver took the lead early by following me like a shadow after his parents left, but Clementine was so sweet she melted my heart, and it was so rewarding when the pup Ferdinand came out of his shell and warmed up after a few nights. Omnom the tortoise deserves a category of his own. Such a cool creature, I spent time everyday petting him and just observing him. Leticia was very welcoming, explained everything I would know to be successful. She even let me eat her food which is good because I didn’t want to leave these sweet angels to even go to the store. Their home was beautiful and comfortable and I really caught up on rest there. She said the dogs can be loud and high energy, but they were major couch potatoes for me, with mom and dad away.
