Doggy's Big Day has been hiking my dogs for about 5 years now and they have been integral in their well being. They come and pick them up and drop them off so I never have to worry about coordination. All of their hikers are great and lovely with my Jolene and Lucy. This is made apparent by how absolutely thrilled they are to see every single one of them! The dogs come back tired and ready for a nice nap. I work from home so it gives me peace of mind knowing they are exercised and I keep continue to work. One other major bonus is that my dogs have always been very socialized with Linda's crew. They continually meet new dogs and practice good manners and boundaries. They do have a nice user-friendly app that allows me to inform the team of any changes to the regular schedule. They send photos after each hike which always shows how much FUN they are having! I am also very excited about their new offering - meet ups. It will be fun to meet the parents of the other dogs we see on their hiking photos. Thanks Linda, Rebecca, and team for being such an important aspect of my dogs life!
I've been a devoted customer of Doggy’s Big Day for 10+ years, and they have consistently delivered exceptional care for all of my dogs. This dog walking company is more than just a service provider; they've become an integral part of my pets' extended family. Their reliability is unmatched. Regardless of the weather or my ever-changing schedule, their team has always been there to ensure my dog(s) get the exercise and attention they need. It's this unwavering commitment that has kept me coming back year after year. What truly sets Linda and her team apart is the genuine love and care they exhibit towards every furry friend. Each dog is treated with individualized attention, and the walkers take the time to understand their unique personalities and preferences. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking a dog walking company that goes above and beyond in ensuring the well-being of your furry companions. Here's to many more years of exceptional service! 🐾✨
We are SO happy with both the training given to our Golden doodle as a new puppy and more recently, the dogsitting provided by Doggy's Big Day. We tried several alternative sitters or kennels but Kora has superceded all our expectations in providing love, safety and exercise for our now 5 year old fur-child. We KNOW our doggy is happy while we're away and that means WE'RE HAPPY. I give Doggy's Big Day 5 STARS !
I have been having Doggys Big Day take my dogs for weekly hikes since 2017. Linda has been so great with my dogs King and Jezebel. I have been out with my dogs and happen to run into Linda, my dogs will not leave her side. I have peace of mind that they are safe and carefully watched over and they have a fantastic time
I LOVE Doggies Big Day and so does my Buddy(the dog). Buddy is always patiently waiting to go on hike days and comes home exhausted. Linda and her team are a perfect fit for Buddy and us. We recommend them time and time again
We used Doggy's Big Day for the first time this past week and I am so impressed!! They were so easy to sign up with and instruct on what we need while we were out of town. They are true professionals, and I never once felt nervous or wondered if my dog was in safe hands. Thank you, Linda & team!
Doggy's Big Day is SLC's best kept secret. My dog loves hiking with this group and he is always tired out when he comes home. I used this service when I lived in SLC and now when traveling to SLC. The Hike Leaders come to my hotel and pick up my pup. take him out for a 1.5-2.0 hour hike/play session and then bring him back all for a very reasonable price. They go rain, snow or shine. They are very careful with the dogs and make sure all dogs are safe at all times. I cant wait to return to SLC and use this great service again!
This service is so perfect! Linda and her team make my puppies day. They are timely and have amazing communication. They also send photos after each outing that make me smile!
I've used Doggy's Big Day a few times when I've been out of town to check in while the friend/relative staying with my pups is at work or to stay at my house overnight. They do an exceptional dog of taking care of my special needs dogs, including one with a spinal injury who wears diapers. Most recently, we had Dot come and hang with them for an hour each day while we were out of town for a week. Dot is amazing! She was very attentive to our instructions and looked out for our house and dogs. I loved her visit updates and photos each day. I’d absolutely recommend Dot and Doggy's Big Day!
Doggy's Big Day has been part of our life for years! We love them. Linda always took great care of our little poodle and when our grandpup came to live with us, Doggy's Big Day has taken her hiking twice weekly. She is a beagle border mix with high energy and a desire to herd. She loves hiking and playing with all her friends. Linda has been great to accommodate our granddog. She was a rescue and had so many fears. Linda and her team have been patient and loving and our granddog is now confident and is even going in the water! Water was one of her biggest fears. Linda has worked with her so much. Thank you to Doggy's Big Day for all you do for us!
I absolutely love Aarf! I have had the opportunity to work as a hiker for this company AND have my dog be a client of this company and both experiences have been amazing. I have engaged with other hiking companies in the past and none of them live up to Aarf. I can confirm that Aarf makes sure all dogs are well taken care of, by ensuring that we get well trained dogs who get along well with others. If there is ever an issue, Aarf has always made sure to hike the dogs separately or advocate for its staff by encouraging additional training. My dog absolutely loves his hikes and I am so happy knowing how well cared for he is when I’m out during the week!
We love taking our gal here, and she has the best time. The staff treat her so well, and it's clear she's well-loved and enjoys the time she spends with other dogs there. They do a great job of updating us daily, and the report card/pictures are always a highlight for us when we're traveling. I'm glad we found this place, and we look forward to having our gal stay here more.
Aarf is an amazing company with great people. They pick up my dog from my house and take her on hour-long hikes with friends for the price of a day of daycare. I know she’s safe and having a great time, and she’s settled and only needs a relaxing walk when I get home - much more my style after a long day at work! They always send me a brief summary on their outing and pictures which really brighten my day. So thankful I found Aarf and I’d absolutely recommend them.
I have researched many different boarding places for my sweet Bella who was a rescue dog. I was hesitant to place her in a pound style care facility because she had already been locked up for several months before we rescued her and had mentally started to show extreme distress due to this. The other boarding places had only concrete for the dogs to mingle and allowed no toys and they were locked up at night in a cage with no staff onsite during sleeping hours. This is not what I wanted for my dog so I looked at Aarf house. Aarf house was different in a huge way. The business is a house with a big backyard of dirt and fake grass and a doggy door leading into the house where they can come and go as they please. They have a doggy swimming pool and a lot of toys for the pups to play with. The staff really seem to love the animals because my dog gets excited when I bring her there and it’s not because of the other dogs which she tolerates but really wants no part of their shenanigans. The staff are caring and watchful and the best part is they are there 24 hours a day. The night shift employee sleeps in a bed and the dogs are even allowed to sleep with them if they choose. They bring out more than enough dog beds though for everyone to have a comfortable bed. Just about everything is fine for the pets to lay on including the leather couches in the living room. The staff are trained in giving medication which my dog needs and they also gave her water separately because my pooch is weird and doesn’t like drinking from the communal water bowls. What really impressed me though was how watchful they are, they brought my dog into the off limits kitchen where they allowed her to have some alone time away from the others so she could nap in peace without the others bothering her. This meant so much to my wife and I that they even noticed she needed that. The report cards they give you for each day your dog is boarded is a nice touch and they are also honest with the report as they mentioned my dog didn’t eat her evening meal which I knew she wouldn’t. I couldn’t be happier with the experience we have had with Aarf house and I’m glad I found them. If you want your dog to feel like they are home then the Aarf house is for you.
We have finally found somewhere that we don’t have to feel guilty about leaving our dog when we go out of town! Our dog is like a child to us and we only want the best for him. AARF provides a level of care and communication that I have not experienced in another boarding facility. Rather than mosey around with half hearted supervision only to be put in a kennel later somewhere else, at AARF he went on daily hikes, played ball to his heart’s content, and even got his favorite butt scratches. ❤️ The report cards and pictures we received every day while away made me feel so much better knowing he was safe, happy, and well cared for. Thank you so much to Susie and AARF for that peace of mind.
We LOVE Aarf! My sweet rescue dog is shy and had not stayed anywhere else since adoption a few years ago. I took her for a few play days before boarding for a weekend. She warmed up to them so quick. It is such a homie and welcoming environment. The staff are amazing. The daily report cards bring such peace of mind. I am so happy to have found such great care for my precious pup!
We love Aarf!! We have been doing their group dog hikes for a few months and our Lab boys have the best time. Remi, their usual dog hiker, is an absolute angel and our boys love her. She sends the sweetest updates with lots of photos after each hike. We would recommend Aarf to anyone!
Suzie and AARF Pet Care have been walking and staying with my dog Sadie for the last year+ and I can’t tell you how happy I am with their services. They are great with the animals, do a fantastic job communicating, and are nice people in general that really care about making sure your animals get what they need while you are away. I have tried several other services and daycares, none of which have delivered the same level of care that Suzie and company have. I would highly recommend AARF Pet Care if you are looking for quality care for your animals while you are busy.
Suzie and her team take excellent care of our pup when we can't be there with her and we never worry for a second. We know our dog is happy as can be playing in the mountains and spending time with other dogs. The added service of pickup and dropoff takes so much stress out of travel and we can't express our gratitude enough for these awesome folks. I just have to add that our pup stayed with Aarf for 7 days and returned happy and healthy. Suzie and staff really went the extra mile, noticing early on that our dog prefers the company of people over dogs and making every effort possible to get her more human contact. I got a report card daily with photos and a write up that demonstrated she was truly being cared for. I just appreciate them so much and, while the price is more than a standard kennel, the peace of mind knowing that my dog is happy and well taken care of instead of crammed in a cage is invaluable.
Suzie is so wonderful and patient hiking with and transporting our three high energy pups! They come back from hiking so happy and tired, and we love the photo updates. It's so nice to know they're out having fun while we are working.
We had a last minute need for pet sitting with short notice over 5 days and Merry Pets came through with flying colors. Merry and Caitlin were amazing through the process for a house hold of pets. Thanks so much for coming through in a pinch.
Merry and her crew are that rare blend of reliable, consistent and professional mixed with the heart of someone who will love and care for your pets as you do. Not everyone in the business of pets does it as an act of Service as well as a business, but Merry does. They have taken care of my two cats, one 20 years old and one 11 years old for 15 months now and allowed me to leave town for work regularly and lovingly cared for my cat that needed daily medication, varying dietary requirements and through several health challenges. I was able to leave knowing my sweet, fragile kitty would be taken care of well. They also bring in mail, packages, water plants, empty litter boxes and play with kitties. I had moved neighborhoods and needed good care. When I read Merry's story on the website, I was moved and I knew she was the one. Merry Pets greatly exceeded my expectations and provided the very best service and care. And Merry herself has the biggest heart. Highly recommend them if you want the very best, most attentive and caring team to care for your pet family members.
I don’t know how more to express how amazing Merry Pets is! Merry consoled me before and after a pet death then helped me care for my other disabled dog. Merry Pets are always welcome in my home and to care for my pets. TY TY TY TY TY ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏 …
We have been with Merry Pets for over 15 years now. She walked our 1st poodle until he passed and she started taking our 2nd poodle when he was a puppy. He is 11 now. He always has so much fun with his pack and since he is an only child he needs the socialization of a pack. He always knows when it's Thursday because he knows the door knock is for him that day. They always come rain or shine. We love Merry Pets!
I love Merry Pets and all of the services they provide!! I have two pups and I work at a job where my hours can be very different depending on the month, and sometimes I’m not able to take the dogs out during the day. I contacted Merry and she was super responsive and positive, and got the dogs set up on their regular hiking schedule!! I love that Merry and her team are able to come to the house and pick up the dogs. It’s great that they get to go with a small group of other dogs to help with socialization and the pups seem so happy from their adventure when I get home from work. I also love that Merry sends photos from the hikes!! It makes me so happy and I know that they are in great hands!!! I would definitely recommend Merry Pets!
I love Merrys Pets! I was out of town for the weekend and had Merry check in on my cat a few times per day. I am a first time pet owner and had never left my cat alone before. Merry came to my apartment to meet me and my cat before I left and took detailed notes. She sent photo updates while I was away. When I came home, my cat was happy and well cared for. Additionally, my home was spotless! I was able to enjoy myself while away knowing that my kitty was in good care. Thanks Merry!
My family (people and pets, of course) loves Merry Pets! They are flexible, make all sorts of accommodations as needed, and are great at solving problems so your pet's experience is perfect. I have three dogs that all go on hikes twice weekly and they love all the hikers they've been out with, and Merry has been helpful in making sure all their quirks are managed (ie. eating sticks and other trail garbage). I highly recommend Merry Pets to anyone looking for the best dog walking and dog care service around.
Merry Pets is amazing! We have been using their in-home petsitting services for over 6 years now. We just returned from a 10-day vacation totally satisfied with the care and love Merry and her sitters/walkers provide. All of the staff are knowledgeable pet-lovers. Everyone who has cared for our 3 dogs and 3 cats has been terrific... We even have a dog with health problems that thrived while we were away. They are respectful of our home and consistently check in to let us know all is well. We have also used their dog-hiking services with great pleasure! I recommend Merry Pets emphatically!
One of the best decisions I have ever made was to bring Merry Pets into Cooper's life. I felt secure entrusting his well-being to Merry and her team for daily hikes, check-ins and sleep-overs. For over 3 years they've continued to take great care of my lab retriever. Cooper adores all of them and I know they reciprocate that adoration of him; he loves being a part of the Merry Pack. Merry Pets is always accommodating and will help with last minute requests - including getting locked-out on a Sunday afternoon. For the best possible care of your pets, Merry Pets is definitely the recommendation I would encourage for you.
I can't say enough great things about Merry Pets! I hired them to take my dogs on hikes and it was the best thing I cold have ever done for pets and myself. The whole hiking crew is amazing! They love my dogs and take extra special care of them. They send me pictures from the trail which make me super happy when I see they are having so much fun. My dogs are getting the exercise they need and one of my dogs who was getting a little chubby has lost weight. I can tell my dogs are so much happier and healthier because of their hikes with Merry Pets. I completely trust them and I know the whole crew is passionate about animals and their well being. I couldn't be happier.
I’ve taken my dog Olive here pretty regularly and she loves it! I have boarded her for as long as a week and taken her for daycare. They are incredibly reliable and easy to get ahold of. Olive gets super excited when we drive into the neighborhood now, and the staff there seems excited to see her too! They also send pictures and videos at no extra charge when boarding. I love that they don’t require your dog to sleep in a crate as well. Thank you, hound hearts!
Lovely place! I highly recommend it. Sandy is a wonderful person and my dogs always come home happy and worn out.
We are SO glad we found Hound Hearts. Sandy and Morgan are wonderful and we trust them completely with the care of our Milo. We have left him in their care while we have been on vacation anywhere from 3 or 4 days to more than two weeks. We don’t worry at all because we know they care so much for him.
I have to say that boarding with Sandy at Hound Hearts has been amazing. I wholeheartedly trust her and her staff to watch my dogs and keep them safe. I have a Basset Hound and she personally has Basset Hounds so it is fun for him to play with them. I also have a small mixed-breed that I worried about playing with bigger dogs but have never had an issue. They always come home happy and tired. I would not know what to do without her service, I just hate thinking about sending my dogs away while I'm gone to be crated for hours on end. With Hound Hearts there is no long hours being crated, the dogs get to roam the house like it's their own and get to play in a huge backyard. Love this place! Would recommend to everyone.
Hound Hearts Dog walking & Boarding provides tip top service. The owner Sandy is easy to communicate with as well as extremely dependable. I work a unpredictable schedule sometimes and Sandy is ALWAYS willing to work with me to make sure my pups get taken care of. I have 3 dogs that I take to Hound Hearts daycare and 1 dog that Sandy comes to my house to walk. For my pups that go to daycare they come home happy and tired, they are also very happy and excited to go to daycare every morning. They jump out of my car and wait patiently at Sandy's front door unable to control their excitement of seeing Sandy. My dog that Sandy walks is also very happy and calm when I come home. Sandy always locks up and makes sure my pup is all tucked into her crate before she leaves. My pups are my babies and I wouldn't trust them to anyone else but Sandy. Besides giving great doggy service, Sandy is also a very kind and compassionate person that will work with you to make sure you get the best deals. I am so thankful that I was able to find Sandy and her business. I would recommend her to all my family members and friends.
Sandy and Morgan are amazing! They are always willing to take in your dogs even at the last minute to working around your work schedule and my pup loves it when he goes to daycare and is always so tired when I pick him up and they send you pictures throughout the day to let you know how your dog is doing. They are life savers I don't know what I would do without Hound Hearts this place is my pups second home!🐶🏡
I'm a bit nervous telling SLC about Hound Hearts. I had found an amazing vet when I moved to Utah and told everyone I knew about that vet - and was never able to get an appointment again! Hound Hearts is a god send. My dog gives four paws up & a tail wag for all the love and attention she receives from Sandy and Morgan! I am the MOST picky pet owner when it comes to vets and those who interact with my dog - and I can go to work - even in the middle of the night on a trauma call - and know I'm leaving my dog in the best hands, so I have no worries. I work crazy hours at the hospital and Hound Hearts has THE BEST daycare hours - 24 hours / 7 days a week. My girl started daycare two weeks after I adopted her; a one year old high energy herding breed. Every time I picked her up, her tail was wagging and her tongue was hanging out - she even skipped dinner sometimes because she was so tired. She would wake me up before my alarm clock because she was ready to go to daycare! I like the personal touch Sandy and Morgan give vs those bigger businesses with more dogs. I can't even explain how much my dog loves Sandy's homemade doggie cookies that she sells at the farmers markets / dog events (I'm sure taste testing for the masses makes for a hard day at daycare for my dog!). They are healthy and tasty (I've tested them myself). Bring your dog to meet Sandy and Morgan - let your dog tell you how much fun Hound Hearts is!!
I can't speak highly enough of this daycare. I have an energetic collie-mix,Louie, and he is so excited to go. The first day I dropped him off, I was nervous. In 10 minutes, they had sent me a photo of a very happy puppy. They are reliable and very responsive. This a great home daycare. As a first time dog-mom, I was anxious. Louie leaps from the car when we arrive to play with his friends. If you are looking for a place for you pup to get some play and social interaction, this is the place !
We have been bringing our now almost 14 year old dog here for years when we go on vacation. I know he feels right at home and loves to snuggle there. I don't think I would trust him with anyone else. She even sends pictures and updates when she has him. Thank you for taking such good care of our Sammy every single time you have him.
It was such a blessing finding Hound Hearts to take care of my fur-baby Gizmo. Sandy and Megan have taken such good care of my little boy, gave him tons of hugs and love. They were so accommodating with my crazy work schedule. I would pick up my little boy exhausted from a day full of play with his new friends. They are worth their weight in gold and I wish I could find someone like them back home! Recommend them 1000%!!!!!
We went on vacation out of state for a wedding and have not left our dogs at an overnight facility in several years. We were super nervous! The Dog Lodge was very accommodating and kind and did everything to put our minds at ease without making us feel embarrassed about it. They answered all of our phone calls and texts and sent photos! The girls came home with a sweet report card as well as a bath. We liked that you can bring their beds from home. The price is exceptional for the service provided. Our dogs had a great time and we will happily use them again!!
The dog lodge was incredible. We have an 8 month old Lab named Georgia and it was are first time boarding her for a few days! She had the best time and made many friends. They sent us videos of her playing with other friends and updated us on how she was doing. When picking up Georgia, she was freshly bathed and nails had been trimmed. All her bedding and toys were returned. She was so happy and healthy. When we got home she was exhausted and took a long nap. We love the dog lodge and Georgia does too! We will definitely be using them again in the future!
I almost don’t want to leave a hood review because I don’t want it to get too popular here but they definitely earn their status! You’ll probably want to create an account and book in advance for your pup as everytime I’ve been there they’ve been really busy or full. The workers are great with the dogs and keep a vigilant eye out. Looking forward to more daycares and boardings.
This place is the definition of above and beyond. They had my Pyrenees/Bernedoodle in for a week and took way better care of him than ever expected. McKale personally texted me when my dog had a couple foxtails stuck in his coat and they plucked them all out and sent me updates during my whole trip. Seriously amazing service, I would recommend them to anyone and will be using The Dog Lodge again next time!
Highly HIGHLY recommend Dog Lodge!! I was a nervous wreck leaving my dog to go on vacation. After tying several places for my dog to go, I found the Dog Lodge. I am soooo thankful I did! The staff has been absolutely amazing with my dog. They are super attentive to his needs and have consistently kept in touch with me to share how he is doing!! This has been so wonderful!!! I highly recommend them!
This is my go-to place for dog sitting when I am out of town and can't take my furry friends. They always remember my dogs name and are very polite. Once when my puppy was bitten by another dog, they immediately took her to a vet and tried to call and email me. I was out of the country with no service and they took care of everything. The other dog's owner was billed for the vet services and banned from coming back to the Dog Lodge. They really do everything they can to make sure the dogs are safe and take care of them.
We always bring our doggo here, and he always leaves very happy and TIRED which is very difficult to do. 🥳 After a few days, they provide a wonderful bath and nail trim, and take care of all the dog needs. Our FAVORITE benefit of bringing our dog here is that he gets to play with all the other dogs (after a temperament check of the dogs) so they can have a great vacation too! They have separate sleeping areas, but overall the dogs are having the best time. I am extremely comfortable leaving my dog in their very capable hands.
We just had our first stay at The Dog Lodge and our pup loved it! The care he received was top notch. The rates and policies are all fair and transparent and they're happy to show you the operation so you can be comfortable leaving your furry family with them. We got video updates, could call to check in as needed and due to the length of stay we got a report card and a freshly bathed dog, which we really appreciated since they always get a bit funky and bathing the dog first thing upon arriving home after a trip is never fun. We really appreciate the flexible pickup and drop-off times, our old facility had very narrow open lobby hours which made travel planning tricky. Being away from home and his family is always a little hard on our dog, but he came back exhausted (as expected) and happy. We'll definitely continue boarding here in the future!
We couldn't take our dog here because he hasn't been neutered yet, but it was very clean and smelled good. The dogs all looked happy, and the staff we met were kind and very helpful trying to help us find other alternatives.
Truly can’t say greater things about McCall and her team. My dogs had an absolute blast, and this is the first time they’ve come back from a dog care center not smelling like urine and sweat. My pups were so happy and took the best nap of their lives after pickup 😂 It was so nice to get a report card too! …
If you care about your dog’s safety, do not take them here. The dogs here are not taken care of. I would recommend taking your dog to a day camp that has a veterinarian on staff such as Animal Medical Clinic (or literally anywhere else). The company could afford to build a second location but apparently could not afford to pay their employees more than 11 dollars an hour. Kyle the manager is incredibly rich and has his employees promise staff a raise that will never happen. I’m grateful to have experienced working here because now I know the red flags to look out for in a workplace. There is a corgi named Maple there who is the sweetest thing to people, but during my time there had attacked numerous dogs (including mine) for just being near her. Management gave her unlimited chances because they needed the revenue. She is obviously too anxious (as Corgi’s are) to be in an environment where employees are not trained to manage her behavior. And no, I do not consider Hannae to have the proper training as she is twice my age and still stuck at the same job that pays like $15 an hour. If she had the appropriate qualifications, she would be working anywhere else. Also, the staff there keeps leaving good reviews to boost their rating (which is incredibly embarrassing). I hope they will hire an entirely new set of management staff and turn things around before more dogs get injured. Until then, I’ll stay bitter.
Almost every crate in the playrooms is rusted and broken. Some had sharp metal pieces sticking out. Most of the crate trays were damaged, and sharp plastic edges were a hazard. On many occasions, 1 person is in charge of 30 or more dogs. They put dogs in rooms together that should never be in open play together. Ex: A German shepherd tried to bite a five-pound dog when they were put in the same room. I had to ask multiple times for basic cleaning supplies in order to do my job. Most of the day consists of cleaning up large amounts of vomit, poop, and pee. We rarely had paper towels or working spray bottles to clean the playroom floors. Employees and dogs are stuck in hot rooms with no air flow that reek of foul smells. The manager had me close a room 15 minutes into a shift, right after everyone had been crated from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, because a dog had pooped in the suite, which is the small box outside of the playroom doors. She had the front desk person turn off the pet parent cameras so they would not see dogs being crated once again. Owner resealed the floor, which must be done yearly. This was several months overdue. Because of this, floors were cracking, and poop would stick to the floor and not come off. The instructions say to wait one week before letting people walk on the floor again after sealing. Rooms were opened after 1-2 days. The door handle to the gym playroom was broken for 2 weeks. There was a fight, and I ran to help the coach. I could not enter the room for 20 seconds until I managed to open the door. Inexperienced employees were trimming nails, which is a delicate process that is challenging with many dogs. Expired shampoo and conditioner products were used, causing some dogs to get rashes. Employees make 11 dollars an hour. It is not nearly enough for the amount of work that is expected of employees and the stress that is endured.
left my 1 year old yellow lab there for one full work day, ( 8 hours), because i didn’t want him feeling lonely and sad all day and didn’t have anybody else available to watch him which is usually the case when this happens. I didn’t want to pay the outrageous price they charge for daycare but did anyway, yet i drop him off fine and healthy with a black nose like i know and love him, and this is the shape i pick him up in??! Huge pink scar on his nose and clearly hurt himself somehow yet none of the employees have an answer of how or when this happened! Appreciate it guys!! Poor Louie will be recovering from his nose injury for a couple days thanks to you guys even though i paid a lot of money just for me to be reassured he would be safe and happy for the work day!!! 0 stars if i could if you care about your dog don’t take them here!!!!
I am so thankful for Dogtopia-Holladay. They've worked with my 12 pound terrier to get him accustomed to being around other dogs. He used to be scared of everything after a scary incident at our park, and now he's learning how to make friends.
Dogtopia in Holladay treat my dog Riley like family. He comes home tired after a day of play and when I go out of town they take great care of him.
My Aussie Jack has been going to this location for over a year and Jack and I love it. The staff there is exceptional. I have signed him up for training there also and he is doing really well. I would highly recommend Dogtopia as a fun and safe place to leave your fur babies. They are awesome!
Our dog was seriously injured. We are calling the police for animal cruelty. My elderly mother was watching him and dropped him off for help without reading the dozens of bad reviews. This business should be shut down.
I have been taking my dog Buddy, (a King Charles Cavalier) to Dogtopia for a few years now and I can’t think of a more wonderful, safe, and friendly place to take him. Whenever Buddy and I get within a mile of Dogtopia, he squeals with excitement of going there, it’s so cute to watch. To begin with, the staff is always friendly and loving when we arrive, that Buddy can’t stop wagging his tail with excitement. I always know that when I leave Buddy at Dogtopia that he is in safe hands and the staff genuinely loves him. Dogtopia is always clean and smells fresh and the staff really cares about that. I can always know that Buddy will be safe and have fun with his friends at Dogtopia. Take you dog there to play with Buddy.
I LOve LOVe LOVE this place!! I took my dog originally so that she could have some activities during the day rather than being bored at my office with just me. She has learned to socialize and loves all her new friends! Thank You Team for being so wonderful to my "Vannah White".
I have been taking my puppy here since she was four months old and they have always taken great care of her. She loves it there and comes home tired for the rest of the day. They always pay close attention to her and send home report cards, photos, and art she made.
I have a little toy dog that has people issues. Maren and her staff at DogTown in Sandy are very patient with him and do not push him out of his comfort zone while he is there for daycare and boarding. Anthony has groomed him twice. He's come home looking adorable and not stressed. I've worked with Maren for training. She's amazing! She is very knowledgeable. Since she takes the time to get to know his needs and personality, I've been given very useful and successful training methods that are custom fit to him. I repeat ~ custom fit. Do I recommend DogTown, Anthony, and Maren? Absolutely 100%
This is the best place to take your doggies for day care, boarding, training, and grooming. I absolutely adore these people. Before I found them I took my pups to boarding place last minute and cried when I drove away because I didn’t like them. I call dogtown summer camp, because they send you daily report cards of your dogs with pictures and captions and you can tell they really care. It’s like dropping your dog off at a friends house! Also they did a great job giving Milo his first hair cut. They boys come home happy and exhausted from playing every time we take them 💕 (these pictures were attached to milos report card from his very first day care experience)
First of all, I want to say that I have waited a couple of days before writing this to let the emotions subside so I can be objective. I have a 8 yr old shorkie who is an inside dog. He is groomed regularly and has been boarded several times at The Dog Park by the airport. We have never encountered a problem with boarding. This summer we decided to look for a boarding location closer to where we live. After visiting several locations in Sandy we chose to board our dog at Dogtown Pet Spa. He was there for a total of 11 days. When I dropped him off the employee had me take off his leash and collar. Then she took him behind their gate. To both of our surprise, our dog jumped over their counter and ran to me. This should have been my first indication that safety was not a priority. Over the time our dog was there we got daily updates on his nails, skin, teeth etc. The only item of concern was as he has a little tarter build up on his teeth. We felt reassured of his wellbeing and looked forward to the pictures we received. When I returned to pick our dog up he had been given a complimentary bath (per their policy of a free bath after 7 days of boarding), and his nails had been trimmed. The employees let him out of the gate without a leash and he was so excited he ran to the door to leave. I struggled getting his collar and leash on because he was so excited to leave. Again, not the safety I would have expected. Also, while I was settling the bill, we were expecting to pay for the nail trim, but I was told that part of our deposit would cover it and the remaining $73 would be saved to our account for the next service. That was a surprise not to get refunded. Later at home my daughter noticed little “black seeds” on our dog. We thought maybe he had been in a bush and had gotten some in his hair. However, later the next day I was petting him and I could feel several bumps. I was able to use my nails to pull something resembling a black seed off him. I looked closer at it and noticed it was moving! So I put it in a bag and continued to find at least 12 more of the same bug. I called our vet who said they thought it sounded like fleas. I immediately went to buy some shampoo and spray to get rid of the bugs. At the pet store the only shampoos that were sold were for ticks and fleas. So we bathed, sprayed, our dog and cleaned everything in the house he had touched. The next day I took the bag to The Dogtown pet spa and showed them what I had found. There was no manager there so the employee tried to help. She was texting her manager and took a picture of the bag of bugs. To my disgust the employee told me that her manager said the bugs were lice, not flees. The employee googled dog lice and told me it took 7-10 days for the lice to become the size they were in the bag. I pointed out that was the entire time my dog was I. Their care. She said I could come back the following day to talk to the manager about it. While driving back to PetSmart to try and find a lice shampoo, the manager called. She immediately became defensive and said that our dog already had the lice before coming to them. She argued with me for at least 10 minutes before I asked what she would be willing to take responsibility for. She agreed to refund the $73 they kept from our deposit and offered a free lice bath and spray. I found the safety, professionalism and empathy to be lacking with the entire experience. If our dog had lice before he came, then the employees were negligent in the care my dog received by reporting he was in good health for all 11 days he was there. I WOULD NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH MY DOG AGAIN!
Dogtown is the best! Not only do my dogs love going there to play, their training program is amazing! We did the 5 week private lessons with our reactive dog and we couldn’t be happier with the progress Maren has helped up to make. We went from our dog walking us around the neighborhood and barking at other dogs to him being stable and confident. He enjoys walking next to us on a loose leash and he is so much happier with the boundaries we have set for him. Thank you so much Maren and everyone at Dogtown, you guys are amazing!
dogtown is the best!! anthony does a great job grooming my dog. you can tell he really cares for the dogs he grooms, and he takes his time to understand what you want your dog to end up looking like. i love how fresh and clean my dog is after every groom. he always smells so good and not like wet dog. i would highly recommend dogtown to anyone!!! 10/10
I brought my Pomeranian Yoshi in for his temperament test here and they was so warm and welcoming. My yoshi passed his test and will be boarding here while we are on vacation. I just wanted to say I appreciate the kind and calm atmosphere for the pups.
Great trainers . My dogs completed a three week training course .They been patiently working with our stubborn ,14 year old border collie . Very pleased with the trainers ,facility. And their grooming services . Our Border Collie got her very first short trim . The groomer did an excellent job😃 …
Brandie at Dog Town is an awesome groomer! She is so personable, loves your animal, and does a great job. She’s been grooming my little Sophie for some time now and we just love her! It’s hard to find a groomer that knows how to take care of a Maltese in long coat. ❤️🐾❤️
I was hesitating to write this review, but it is worth it if it is for them to improve, I took my two dogs for grooming service and I ended up disappointed. After they had been there for five hours, having delivered reference photographs and being very specific with what I wanted, they delivered them to me nothing close to what I asked for, if they were somewhat tangled and I paid an extra fee for it, but they were not bad as to make them completely hairless, and the next day noticing that my dog has a skin allergy probably caused by the blades they used to cut his hair, I wanted this place to like me, Sabrina offered to try to fix the irregular parts of the cut and was very kind and apologized for the inconvenience, but I don't want to go back, I wanted me to like it and always take my dogs there, but it's not going to happen, I feel that they should improve customer service, not only be an answer of sorry but to seek to reach a middle ground with a client who is not happy at all with what he is paying, who in the end feels that it was a waste of time and money, I have read good reviews, such as lousy. Apparently it is an experience that you love, or where you never want to return, in my case the second one.. they were uneven parts that I notice the minute I see the dog, is about how diligent you can be with customers and how you deal with the situations, customer is not always right, and you probably know better, but if I was really specific with what I wanted, why don’t you call first if I was okay with completely shave one of my dogs if I was so specific with how I wanted his hair? And how would you fix a completely shaved dogs with completely shaved eyebrows? I know you offer to cut the missed parts, but just that, and nobody mention any upgrade, you mention that I would have to be at 8 to leave my dogs with the same groomer otherwise if it’s other groomer you will have to charge me again, so I’m guessing that groomers don’t work for your establishment and you just rent them the space if that was the answer, because that Answer is that the business is not taking care on anything.. I definitely believe that you need to assume your mistake and not having a p/a response with customers, and don’t try to justify your mistakes after.. was not a great experience for me, can be for other people and not for me, and I didn’t say anything about how you made me go for a temperament appointment that at the end you wanted to do 5 hours later when was suppose to be the first thing and why I leave them there so early. Anyway, don’t bother, you will keep working the way you are doing it cuz for you the mistake was mine
We LOVE Dogtown! Not only is their daycare/boarding absolutely amazing, we just went through a wonderful training program with Maren. She did a great job helping us guide our dog through some reactivity issues, as well as some obedience training. She helped us to positively enforce guidelines with our dog in a patient manner. We can't wait to continue working with her in the future!
Wasn't the right boarding fit for our small chihuahua. She came home with diarrhea, now going on day two. It was her first visit, so hopefully just from stress that will pass soon. It is an open roaming facility with a lot of loose dogs, again I don't think quite the right fit for our dog. I really didn't like that there is no grass or similar option for the dogs to use, they have to 'go' on the floor or outside on hot pavement. Staff seemed friendly and caring enough, and lots of good reviews, if your dog is really social and good with boarding then this is probably a decent option.
Prince loves Puppy Lounge! Everyone here is so nice and they know and remember all the dogs. They keep you updated and they really care for your puppy. I just wish they had a better camera and more cameras to watch your puppy, but I still would definitely recommend this place for your small dog.
I will never take my little man anywhere else!!! He sprints in the door SO excited when I drop him off and this pic is him after I pick him up. They always let me know how his day was and who he played with. They even called multiple times to check in on him when he was out sick for a couple weeks. I have never felt more comfortable leaving my baby anywhere, we love them so much!
My husband and I have been taking our fur baby here for almost a year. We love it so much. They truly take care of our most beloved puppy and she’s always so happy to go. We’ve had her spend a lot of time at this facility and we can’t recommend it enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such good care of our Sunny!
I can’t recommend this place enough. We recently switched from another daycare facility that was leaving us concerned for our dog’s wellbeing. The moment I spoke with the staff at Puppy Lounge I knew they’d be a better fit. They obviously spend time one on one with the dogs and provide a safe environment. It seems like each member has a genuine relationship with each dog there. The peace of mind is reason enough to give them my business.
Both the facility and staff are excellent! My dog is 12.5 years old and has been attending the daycare for over 6 years and everyday as we pull into the parking lot my dog still gets excited. I tried many different daycares when I first adopted my dog and am grateful to have found The Puppy Lounge. The staff truly cares for and goes out of their way for their 4-legged clients. I greatly appreciate their daily reports, especially now that my dog has developed some age-related health issues. I know that my dog is safe, well-cared for, and happy at The Puppy Lounge. I wanted to update my initial review from 10 mos. ago and reiterate how The Puppy Lounge has exceeded every level of high quality service and care. My little dog recently passed away due to cancer. I am absolutely heartbroken, but The Puppy Lounge staff sent a beautiful framed collage of photos of my dog and a card signed by every member of the staff, sharing their favorite memories of my dog. I cannot express how much this gesture touched my heart and is so very greatly appreciated.
We love The Puppy Lounge! They treat our little doggie like she is family. We rescued a shy, scared dog about a year ago. At her “interview,” she growled at the staff and didn’t want them to pick her up. But they conditionally accepted her saying that she was just scared, not aggressive, and they would work with her. A few weeks later, she was excitedly running in like it was her favorite place in the world. The staff at The Puppy Lounge have made her feel so comfortable. Fast forward a year later, we are especially grateful to them because over the past week when our puppy was there during the earthquake, they made sure she was safe and sound. I highly recommend puppy lounge to anyone looking for a high quality, kind and friendly boarding and daycare facility. They are absolutely top notch and I’m so appreciative of their caring services.
Love taking out little fluff here for either day care or overnight boarding. They are always communicative, caring, and our dog loves every stay!
I used to take my now deceased dog here. So with new dogs thought I would give it a try again... One dog is a little over a year and the other only 4 months. Needed to do a trial before boarding. They were friendly, showed us the 3 rooms the dogs play in. I could only see my 4 month old every now and then with the web camera..bummed about that. They came home and slept like babies...lol Just a reminder to pet owners, If your dog is sick or not feeling well... just like kids....dont take them to daycare or boarding...you are risking others to get sick even when they are all curent on shots! I do love the fact they make sure the dogs are all current on vaccinations. All the employees seem to love the dogs. We will be back for boarding and daycare.
We’ve been customers of The Puppy Lounge for the past 12 years, and it’s amazing! We mostly do day care, but have also boarded our pups, many times, over thethe years. Our dogs (and their parents) absolutely love this place!
I took my puppy for his interview yesterday. He’s 4 months old and was a bit nervous to start but by the time I picked him up had more than adapted and was clearly loving every moment. The staff is friendly and informative, and their drop off pick up system is great.they texted me several photos of him during the day (ex., below). I love that they back up their claims with live camera feeds. Being able to check in and watch my boy at any moment or all day was fantastic. We are now pass members and will be there regularly. I’m extremely excited for the additional enrichment opportunities next time.
We have been using Desert Dog for 8 years and our pups love going there. We have referred so many people who also go to Desert Dog. They love the dogs so much and we love them. Here are some of the fun photo shoots they do!! ❤️
We love Desert Dog! We feel safe leaving our pups in their care while we’re gone. They definitely come home exhausted after playing with friends during the stay! We LOVE the dog cam, so we can check in on our little guys! I love when they send us a photo of our pups!! The other pictures attached are after coming home from a good day of play!!
You love your dog(s) like they are your kid(s)? So do these kind folks. Cooder has been goin here for 5 years for daycare (3x weekly) and boarding. Every single one of these guys treats him as if he was theirs. Trustworthy and loyal are things I value in my dogs and people and Desert Dog nails it! ✔️ Thank you for being a business!!
Hands down absolutely one of the best doggy daycares in the whole valley! The staff is incredible and I love being able to watch my pups on the internet. The best thing about this place though is their incredible and thorough process at vetting dogs that can come to their doggy daycare. I have been to other doggy daycares where my dog has been attacked. That has never been the case here they have a strict interview process to make sure your dog is going to be compatible with the other dogs there at the doggie daycare. This is worth its weight in gold!!
I cannot say enough positive things about Desert Dog Daycare! They have truly gone above and beyond in providing exceptional care. After the loss of my dog's sibling, I was worried about his socialization skills and overall well-being. From the very beginning, the staff at Desert Dog showed a level of compassion and dedication that immediately put my mind at ease. They took the time to help my dog learn to play with other dogs again, ensuring he felt comfortable and safe in their loving environment. One of the standout features is their outstanding communication. I received updates and photos of my dog during his first day, which not only brightened my day but also provided peace of mind knowing he's having a great time. It's evident that they genuinely care about each and every dog in their care. I highly recommend them to any dog owner. They've not only helped my dog regain his confidence and socialize with other dogs but have also given me the peace of mind I've been looking for. Their dedication to the well-being of the dogs in their care is second to none, and I'm grateful to have found such an exceptional daycare for my beloved pet. Thank you for being a cut above the rest!
Magnus and I absolutely love Desert Dog! I enjoy being able to check in on him throughout the day on the cameras and he can't get enough play time with his friends as well as the pools that are out during the summer. Definite bonus points for them sending me pictures of my goofball at daycare now and then.
My dog Freya is hyper beyond belief. She never slows down. Enter Desert Dog Daycare. I can not believe how tired Freya is when we pick her up. She can't stay awake during the 10 minute drive home (see picture). They have several video cameras so I can watch my dog play. They have optional enrichment activities that provide mental and physical stimulation. They also take her warm coat off if it gets too hot, which I really appreciate. They have huge indoor and outdoor play areas. They offer boarding at a great price, which is awesome because your dog can play all day and you aren't paying for extra time out of their kennel like some other places. I'm so thankful I found this place. Thanks Desert Dog Daycare.
Desert Dog is The BEST!!! I am so happy that we found them, we use to take our Frenchie (Bentley) to another doggy daycare and he just didn’t get the love and care he does here!! Bentley goes crazy when we pull up to the building and can’t wait to get in and play!!! We love all the people there and we know they take great care of all the fur babies who stay with them!! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a doggy daycare!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Katie was very pleasant & helpful. First time for our pup to visit & we were both a little nervous about his visit. He did very well socializing with other dogs. Place was clean & organized in the lobby & the doggie camera was nice to have to be able to check in!!!
My little fur baby Faith had her very first day here today and she LOVED it! She made many new friends! What I loved is they give a report card and I fell in love with this!! Finally! Someone who treats the puppies like kids at daycare!! 😂😂 The staff is super friendly and nice. Faith will be excited to attend again! As well as mom and dad! Thanks Fetch for a great play date! Love Faith 💕
Great place! I’ve been boarding my boys here for a few years now. Even though we only periodically use the services for vacation boarding, I know every time we do that our dogs are in the best care possible. They acclimate my pups right into the mix and treat them as if they were their own. I’ve referred several friends who use the daycare services and boarding, and they’re hooked! Highly recommend Fetch.
I also am in the veterinary field and have a 'special needs' poodle that has significant anxiety. Because of her severe anxiety, I can't take her to the traditional daycare facilities. I took her to Fetch and was skeptical at first that she would do alright. I was so pleasantly surprised.... the staff was amazing and they take their time to always keep her anxiety in mind when she's there. She's allowed to interact with the pack as she feels comfortable and they allow her time apart to calm herself down. I was one of those pet owners that went to drop her off for her weekly visit last Friday and instead found the red sign in the door. Was I surprised... you bet.... a little frustrated initially... without a doubt. Especially since I come from Ogden area with her and let her stay while I'm working. So I had to drive her back home then come back to Salt Lake for the work day. Was it a bit inconvenient, sure .. but this should say something about the staff and facilities. I could have found MANY other daycare facilities to take her to. But one big reason kept me from that..... I don't trust anyone else with my poodle. They are ALWAYS clean and keep us ALL honest with our vaccinations for our kids. I wouldn't take Ruby anywhere else. For those that claim their dogs for Parvo while there.... it takes 7-10 days to incubate... so the pretty likely was sick PRIOR to a visit. IF you overlook they're strict vaccination protocol of ensuring all kids there are fully vaccinated and current on boosters. I'm bringing Ruby back to the only place she feels safe away from home..... FETCH !
If you are someone who is hesitant about dog daycares or has a dog or breed that could struggle in these environments, this may not be the right fit for you. Only sharing to my experience to help others like me who are on the search for a daycare fitting for their pup. Fetch came highly recommended to me. After positive phone calls with staff, we decided to give the trial a shot. I was under the impression this was a smaller facility and trained professionals were supervising the dogs at all times. From my experience this was not the case. I checked in early in the day and was told my pup was doing well. Shortly after, 4 videos were uploaded to our portal. All 4 videos highlight my dog showing obvious signs of distress, giving multiple warning signals to other dogs, and acting in ways I had never seen. All of this in itself is okay. However, the "professionals" overseeing these interactions did nothing but record this and watch dogs repeatedly pursue my dog while she retreated again and again. My dog should have been removed from the situation. I gave clear and enthusiastic instructions allowing them to kennel her as often as they needed. This situation could have easily escalated. When I saw these videos and communicated my concerns, they responded that they'd make sure she found a better playmate after lunch and then proceeded to remove the videos from our portal. I left work early to remove my dog from this facility because I did not feel that she was in good hands.
This place is amazing! We had a last minute need for a dog boarding and they 100% came through and worked with us! My dogs were so happy and exhausted from their min doggy vacation! Thank you so much for taking care of my babies like they were your own! We will for sure be using you again!
Previous to finding Fetch daycare I had tried several other places. All of them my dog Kona would not even get out of the car the second time taking him there. At fetch he nearly rips the leash out of my hand in excitement to get inside. I can’t say enough great things about the staff. They truly do love and care for each and every dog at their facility. I’d give them 1000 stars if possible. Thank you so much for being Kona’s home away from home. 💕🤙
Our dog loves it here, and he's never had any issues. He always comes home tired and happy. We especially like their hiking service that let's our dog get his energy out while having a blast playing with the other dogs. They're attentive enough here to recognize when we had a huge event happening in our lives (moving houses) because our dog wasn't acting like his usual self. I highly recommend this doggie daycare.
The Fetch staff is amazing. They KNOW dogs. I couldn't believe it when we received a doggie report card on our puppies first visit before we picked him up. I forgot to ask them to clip his nails and they took him back in and did it before we left.
Reina’s inaugural adventure at FETCH Daycare and Overnight was nothing short of a tail-wagging success! Fresh off the moving truck from who-knows-where Arizona, this seasoned pup embraced her new Utah digs with enthusiasm that could outshine the sun. Each day, her Report Cards, bursting with joyful photos and tail-wagging videos, painted a picture of pure canine bliss — think pup parties and epic belly rub sessions! With FETCH rolling out the red carpet and showering Reina with love, she quickly settled in, proving that even a seasoned traveler can make a new place feel like home in the blink of a happy eye.
My dog loves it there! He gets home so ready for a nap. Everyone is so super nice to him and me. We are so happy with fetch!
