I had a lovely few days by the sea with daschunds Lucky and Giorgio - fabulous quirky house and great doggy company! Even though I didn't meet James face to face everything went very smoothly and communication was excellent. I had a brief look at some art studios as part of Coastal Currents but I mainly enjoyed sitting in the lovely garden eating ice-cream. Highly recommended!
Christine's casa is a beautiful , serene gem in the LES .Its rich in story and light and those magical kittens made it an enchanted playground- easy and joyful to conduct the tasks expected from me . Both young felines are very independent and gentle creatures both knowing their surroundings and persons to such an extend that i felt i had been with them for a very long time...Christine was always reachable and attentive if needed. However the appartment felt really only complete with her inside :) like a breath of fresh air or like the flowers offered to the vase .Perfection. It made the experience even more joyful for me as an artist .THANK YOU!
I LOVE these dogs! I watched Mavis and Baby at my home over Christmas and they were an absolute delight to cuddle and spend time with. Mavis is the biggest sweetheart and was so well behaved in a new home and out on leashed walks on new trails. Baby is the cutest puppy and I was incredibly impressed with his good manners like immediately learning how to ask to go outside since I do not have a dog door. The two play and get along great together; they do have a lot of energy but were very respectful of my home and listened perfectly when I set boundaries. I would love to spend time with these pups again... they really made my Christmas special!! Alex is also wonderful. She was thorough and prompt with all communication and provided everything I needed for a relaxed sit with happy dogs.
I thoroughly enjoyed babysitting Ruby. Ruby is such a sweet teeny little girl who enjoys a good conversation and will actually SING back to you when spoken to lol. She is a charming little red headed girl with such strikingly rare color/patterns which was the first thing I noticed upon meeting her and it, in turn, actually makes her a really fun camera subject for when you're sending her mommy photo/video updates - Definitely a supermodel kitten lol. Also, if you go out to see the city, she will sing out to you as soon as she hears the key turning in order to greet you upon your return! And it is the most adorable thing, as she always seem so happy to have you back where she can keep an eye on you lol. Ruby just seems to open up to people pretty quickly and loves to be pet, brushed (yes, really and with a specific pink brush lol) and kisses. She knows and responds to ton of English words so its very easy to figure out what she needs. It also has to be said that this petsit actually doubles as a tourists dream in terms of proximity to attractions. Tristane's home is literally steps from the Full House opening credits home, the painted ladies and the Jimi Hendrix red house! And as a self proclaimed music snob, the latter is kind of a big deal to me lol. Overall, if you get an opportunity to care for Ruby, I highly recommend it; I myself would gladly return given the chance.
Sarah, Hugh, and their family were incredibly welcoming and treated us really well. We had great communication throughout our stay. The house is conveniently located, close to a bus stop and the overground station, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. However, the highlight of our visit was definitely their amazing pets. Now, let's talk about the dogs. They are the most lovable dogs we've ever met! Coco, words can't describe how wonderful she is. Smart, calm, affectionate, and independent, she always seeks you out with her magical eyes, making you feel incredibly important. Whether you're in the kitchen, on the sofa, or on the floor, she'll always be there with you, or even on you, bringing lots of joy. Noodle, or Noody, is equally affectionate, craving attention, full of energy, and will follow you everywhere, even into the bathroom – quite amusing! Both dogs are easygoing and will shower you with hugs, so get ready to fall in love with both of them. And now, onto the cats. Stanley is the best cat we've ever encountered. He loves lounging on the bed with a human, enjoying lots of cuddles. But beware, if you stop, he'll ask for more! He's lovely and easygoing, spending most of the day sleeping or wandering around the neighborhood. Mabel, the ultimate lazy cat, loves spending her days sleeping and exploring the house, mostly staying upstairs. She's also lovely but a bit shy, preferring to stay in her own space. Peter, a very special cat, is the star of the neighborhood. He usually comes home for dinner, being affectionate and calm. If you want to spend an hour giving him cuddles, he'll happily stay by your side. Sarah and Hugh, thank you so much for the opportunity. We hope to get another chance to take care of them. I cannot recommend Laura’s dog sitting services enough! We have used her a few times now and just picked our two pups up the other day after leaving them in her care for two weeks! Normally I would be nervous leaving my dogs for that amount of time as we have never left them that long before, but I have never been more comfortable leaving my dogs with someone than I have been with her. Her home is a paradise for all the dogs that get to stay there and I know ours always have fun while with her! She sends you updates and photos as often as you want and genuinely cares for you and your pups. I look forward to the next time I get to send my dogs to hangout with her!
We brought our dogs to spend the day at WetFur when a snowstorm hit and we wanted to take the opportunity to go skiing at Mt. Hood. We contacted Laura the day before and she was immediately friendly, thorough, and informational about her process and what we could expect. This already left us with a good impression but nothing could have prepared us for the place we brought our dogs to. Laura's property epitomizes quintessential Oregon beauty, and is clean and optimized for her dog sitting business. All the dogs had plenty of space to roam and play, but were still in a controlled atmosphere. Laura is warm and attentive, and sent us amazing photos and detailed updates the entirety of our dogs stay. One of our dogs is typically very timid of new people, but he immediately warmed to Laura and even her husband which speaks so highly to their character. Although it was only one day's visit, this is one of the best dog sitting experiences we have ever had, and we are looking forward to continuing to trust our dogs in the hands of WetFur -- even with the 50-minute drive from Portland, it is absolutely worth it for the quality of care!
I cannot stress enough how AMAZING my experience was with WetFur. You wanna talk about a person who will love your dog the same if not MORE than you do?! Laura is an angel on this earth who took my pup Lorenzo in as her own. I NEVER had to worry about his well being! I can’t recommend her enough!!
Wet Fur deserves way more than 5 stars. I was very stressed about boarding our young golden retriever for the first time while our family was out of town until I found Laura at Wet Fur. This is not a boarding facility, it’s basically a resort for your dog. Laura answered all of our questions and was so patient and kind. It completely put our mind at ease knowing that our dog was being taken care of by someone who genuinely cared about his well-being, she even sent photos and videos to us during his stay. When we came to pick him up, he did not want to get into the car and instead headed straight back to her house! We’ve been reluctant to take any trips that weren’t pet friendly because we didn’t have anywhere that we could leave our dog where we thought he would get as much love and attention as he does at home. That is no longer the case. Laura is amazing, and we are so thankful for her.
I can't say enough about how happy I am to have found Laura and her quality of care. She has years of experience, and a great set up to care for the dogs. Not like any Kennel type of care, it is a home perfectly set up to accommodate the fur baby's. There is great play space for the pups. Laura is very caring and flexible with hours. My dog is always super happy to come to WetFur and happy when he comes home. She sends me pics of his play during the stays. She is a dog and a people whisperer. A true God send.
What's not to love about Laura at Wetfur?! I came to visit before deciding to leave my furbaby here for several days. I got great vibes and love her in home setup. My dog was at ease and happy to be there during our first visit, and I loved knowing that my baby wasn't going to be left unattended overnights like at a standard kennel. I would 100% recommend Wetfur to anyone looking to board a dog, and will always book here when I need to in the future!
I was down in the area for a last minute weekend of climbing and Laura was willing to take on my two young labradors for two nights. They had the BEST time and I felt so good about trusting Laura with them. She was communicative, sent beautiful pictures, and I know she loved them well during their visit. Laura's home is so tranquil deep in the woods and on a stream. I hope that my boys get to adventure with her again in the not so distant future.
Laura has a BEAUTIFUL space that is safe, comfy and stimulating for our pups! Jack and Fergus love visiting and I love the flexibility she offers. Laura is an amazing human that puts our dogs first and integrates them into her day to day. I'm SO SO SO happy to have a great place for my pups while I figure out going back to a hybrid work model!

Wetfur is conveniently located for those who are travelling and would like to drop their furry buddies off on the way to Portland International Airport. In addition, Laura is highly responsive and has a flexible schedule for pick up and drop times.
Laura is wonderful! Best place ever to take a furry baby, my Aster was so happy I didn't think she was that thrilled to go home. I was able to get other things taken care of knowing that my baby was safe and happy.
