Paul and Elena gave us a warm welcome and left us with very clear verbal and written instructions about the 3 cats who have very different personalities, and how their place worked. They even provided recommendations on things to do, stores and restaurants in the surrounding area. Their wonderful location is just half a block off Sunset Boulevard, smack in the middle of bustling Sunset Junction with it's many unique restaurants, coffee houses, bars and shops. Lots to see and do and public transport is plentiful. They were extremely appreciative of the care and attention that we gave to their cats, which we enjoyed watching very much. It was an absolute pleasure to sit for Sarah and Colin. Their home is in just the most perfect location, away from the hubbub and their pets are a delight. Radar has to be one of the most well-behaved dogs we have looked after and the cats are cute, cuddly and loving. If you have the chance to do this house sit we would recommend you jump at the chance.
I enjoyed taking care of Lorna for a few weeks. Very cool cat. She hid the first day, but then became sweeter and sweeter each day. She loved her gravy packets and snuggling by my side near the cozy fire while it was storming outside. When the rain ceased, I had access to lovely hiking trails across the street, plus a well known bike trail, Tamarancho. The backyard has fitness equipment and a hot tub/ pool to dip into. I recommend soaking under a starry sky and giant cypress with sounds of a waterfall behind the fence. Cruising into town and San Anselmo was fun to experience. Wild salmon viewing is nearby too! The freezer ended up with a malfunction but Ian was quick to get it sorted out. The guest room was wonderfully white and comfy. Great place and local vibe to experience Fairfax!
Madee is a sweetheart just like her pup Milo. Great stay in a fun, non-touristy neighborhood with beautiful parks and great restaurants nearby. Milo loves hard and deserves it right back. Lua is adorable and easy to care for (no need to pet!). The apartment is cozy and homey with all the amenities. Three minute walk to tube station. Would love to stay again!
We received the warmest welcome from Daniela and Phil right from the start, and they took care of everything we could’ve possibly needed to take the best care of their beautiful dogs Rosie and Toto. We were encouraged to feel right at home (and we did) in their beautifully kept house, the communication was always great, and we had a lot of fun with the dogs who are both such lovable characters (and super entertaining to watch them play together). Thank you guys for a great week, we hope your holiday was free from worry about your fur babies! It’s a real pleasure to have met, and let’s catch up soon!
