Beth and David have been so welcoming, they truly made me feel at home.
I’ve greatly enjoyed getting to know them; they’re so interesting, kind-hearted and, immensely talented artists.

Their home is an utter haven tucked away right in downtown Merida. Surprisingly tranquil amidst the hustle and bustle just out the front door. The mainframe boasts all the original charm - with vibrant patterned floors, high beamed ceilings, antique doors - and all of today’s comforts.

In the garden you’re immersed in surreal architecture and surrounded by lush landscape: ornate plants with exotic flowers, fruit trees, fish ponds, a sculptural fountain with seating.
Not to mention pool and jet stream tub.
A space to share among others as they stay in the stunning boutique Airbnb suites on site.
Everywhere you look is a work of art; attention paid to every detail. Yet, feels so natural. It is SO peaceful there.

And on to the stars of the show! …
Kuma, Allman and Paloma Picassa ❤️
All three of them will shadow you wherever you go 💞

Paloma Picassa - The youngest of the three and the spunkiest. She has the biggest smile I’ve ever seen. She loves to run and play and is quite the hunter. She’ll keep all critters at bay. And, she’ll spin and twirl for you at dinnertime. It’s such a treat 🥰

Allman is a little field goalie, can’t get a ball past him. He will nudge it back to you with his nose in the sweetest gentlest way. This can go on for hours 😆
He’ll also act as your little protector, your guard dog. Every now and then looking for reassurance that he’s doing a good job - puppy eyes and a nudging nose seeking hugs and kisses.

Kuma - Has a pure heart of gold. A tender ol’ soul. An elder, harry sheep-lab mix. Won my heart 💖 and melts my soul.
Will come cuddle up with you. His presence alone is so calming. And
his profound gaze is worth tenfold.
Kuma’s deep connection with Beth and David, is so apparent and endearing.

They truly love their pups, and were always so pleased to receive updates on them.

Overall I had a wonderful experience that I will undoubtedly cherish!

This sit was an absolute delight. Max and Sam are just totally fabulous dogs. They’re affectionate, cheeky, well mannered and completely loveable. We really enjoyed our time with them. Max had a sore paw while we were there and he was brilliant with the vet. Neither he or Sam have an ounce of aggression in them. Just the best.

Ellen and Juris proved to be generous, excellent hosts and we both loved meeting them. Their family - Johnathon and Kirsty - lived close by and were also extremely friendly and helpful. Ellen was always very responsive to our questions and news. Their home is super stylish, characterful, spacious, warm and very well equipped. We loved it.

This is a top notch sit. Highly recommended!

Janet
What good things can I say about Gypsy? She is the sweetest dream dog and strives to maintain great energy for a dog her age. We bonded from day one. It was refreshing to get her out of the house, especially with all the rain we've been having and I can tell her mood has improved. Gypsy really loves to sleep, cuddle, or simply follow you around (typical Weimaraner behavior). Their place is located in a nice, safe neighborhood in the beautiful East Bay hills. You have parks, hiking trails, downtown, infamous Alameda Fairgrounds, shopping centers, and wineries just miles away and not too far of a drive. The home itself is modern, beautiful, and well-equipped! Janet was great and easy to communicate with. She ensured everything was at ease by providing detailed, useful information. I'm grateful for everything the folks did during this sit and I'd love to accompany Gypsy again. Thank you! :)

We had a wonderful time petsitting for Lu & Will's fabulous animals. Lu was great at communicating both before and during the sit. She and Will were very chilled & welcoming. Their home is beautiful, clean, spacious and is located in a quiet & peaceful place with easy access to some lovely places & walks. We looked after the pigs, sheep, runner ducks & hens (dogs were with them). It was easy to follow their feeding routine. The pigs are friendly and love their food and once their appetite is satisfied are happy to have an ear or back stroke. The runner ducks are hilarious, following each other around the field and raiding the chickens food at every opportunity. The sheep were friendly too, with 3 of them being used to being handled from a young age so happy to have human interaction. All the animals have a good sized secure field to range freely, right next door to the house and there is a fabulous garden on the other side of the house to relax in.
We would highly recommend this sit and would sit again anytime.
Thanks Lu & Will for allowing us to care for your home and animals, it was a great pleasure to do so.

Ginny was really Kind & welcoming!
Guidelines for petcare were clear.

Her apt is adorable, comfy, peaceful and has an at home work setup with dual monitors.

She provided details in the posting with images & text, so that was helpful!

I ended up not using the at home setup at all - because I was out running around Boston every day with the dog.

TT is a SUPER SWEET doggy.
She can be really cheeky and once likes to play games of come and get me! (running away from you).

She likes long walks outside and running outside.
Inside- she is really calm and knows to calm down.

Took her to a few cafes multiple times during my stay, and she understood to stay put , although she was maybe a bit too excited to see people!

Got more work done at home or by myself at the cafe.

TT is very adorable and sweet and a real Joy to behold!

Sadly, Jan had expectations of me that she did not communicate. She then grew angry over this and asked me to leave, which was quite jarring given her poor communication. She told me to keep her cat indoors when it was dark. I understood this to mean to not let her cat outdoors after dark, instead of bring Sheba inside the very second it grew dark. In addition, on her listing, it said there was space for two people but her studio was small, and on the phone, she told me I could leave enough food for the night and go to a friends house. However, when I did these things, she grew angry and asked me to leave. I had fed the cats plenty as she’d instructed but since she was watching through her ring doorbell, she assumed the worst. I also let her know last minute my friend would be staying one night, which was not only just in the listing, but also, all my previous sits have encouraged me to use the space in a friendly way.
