Nia looked after our ginger cat, Papa. She was very punctual, reliable and caring. Nia kept us updated by sending regular photos and videos and we came home to a very happy cat and a clean house. Thanks Nia!
Katie was a lovely host, and her cat Scout was delightful, friendly and independent. A lovely house to stay in this beautiful rural location. Katie's communication was excellent and easy to deal with. Highly recommended.
What a dream! Maisie was an absolute angel. She is such a pleasure to be around, so well behaved and quiet and content with a little cheeky side. Loved to go on walks and runs, interacted so well with other dogs too. She loves a cuddle all day every day and we’re going to miss her!
It is hard to put into words how special Mikki is, and how open and kind Karen is. Mikki is a true best friend. Loyal, incredibly affectionate, always up to play, is a quick learner and easily takes directions, will take her own space when she wants to, is a gentle communicator in that she will not annoy you if she wants something, she will find a way to tell you in her body language or in a calm way. On a superficial level, it is almost difficult to deal with her level of cuteness haha she is simply so incredibly cute haha Karen is kind, affectionate, friendly, and great to hang out with :) because she has such a good energy, you immediately feel at home around her, and in her space. She welcomed me into her home as if it was my own, and I am grateful for that! Karen is empathetic and wants to provide the best experience possible for the dog sitter, and this is evident in her actions :) This was a top notch experience, and it would be an honor to do it again! Love to stay in touch with Karen and Mikki, they are great company.
I had a wonderful time hanging out with George in Kara and Leo's beautiful home. George is a super cute and adorable kitty, he is pretty independent but friendly and curious, he likes to play and check on you from time to time. Kara and Leo's home is clean and stylish and the location is close to a lot of shops and restaurants, nature trails and transportation. Very recommended!
Tania and Glens property is the perfect set-up, and in a brilliant location. Their lifestyle block which is home to the family, four horses, and two dogs; is located in an elevated position with views out to the ocean, islands, and Whangarei heads. It is a few minutes drive to Waipu Cove beach where we took Bo and Daisy for a good run each day. This was a co-sit with my sister Kate, which enabled her to launch in to her 'career' with Trusted Housesitters, thanks to Tanias flexibility. We stayed in the free-standing 2 bedroom cabin, separate from the main house. It had everything you could need, and had a huge outside deck area to enjoy the sunshine and the views out to the ocean. Now - the dogs - they are just delightful, and the best of buddies. They absolutely loved their walks, especially the beach where they would chase birds, play and interact with other dogs and people. I felt very comfortable and trusted them very quickly to come when called, and return to me. The dogs sleep in the spacious garage and I would feed them their biscuits at night, and give them a brush and tummy rub before 'putting them to bed'. The horses were easy care, and just needed a top up to their feed, with some hay; and their water trough freshened up. Little Roses, the miniature had to be moved in to a small paddock for a few hours at a time, and she readily followed me back through the gate when her grazing time was up...as she suspected I had a juicy carrot for her. I kept in touch with Tania every few days, via WhatsApp and she replied immediately, answering any queries that I had; as well as leaving me with a printed guide book, with contact numbers for neighbours, and vets etc. I would be more than happy to house and animal sit again, and loved my time at Waipu Cove. Highly recommended - thank you Tania and family!!
We loved the time we spent in Camberwell looking after Goblin. We've met Kitty a few days before the sitting start, and she was super nice, explaining us how everything should work. Gobbo was the most affectionate cat we've ever cared for. He's playful, lovely, likes to receive cuddles and doesn't complain about being carried. There are a lot of amenities nearby the house, many shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and has a great connection to the centre by bus. We recommend this sitting for everyone!
