Sam and Peter were fantastic hosts who immediately made us feel very welcome. Communication was excellent and we met beforehand to familiarise ourselves with their home and of course to meet Nelson. We were treated to a lovely family dinner on the night before their departure and enjoyed sharing our stories. Sam and Peter generously left us some food supplies to begin our housesit. A very detailed welcome guide was prepared covering every aspect needed for a pleasurable, hassle free stay including numerous suggestions for nearby walks and a varied list of cafes and restaurants. Nelson the adorable Labradoodle was exactly as described, an extremely sweet dog who can be a bit anxious but easy to win over. He was a real joy to have as a companion as we explored Haddington, nearby castles and the beautiful beaches of East Lothian. Nelson travelled extremely well in the car and was very well behaved wherever we went including dog friendly cafes and pubs. We had a very memorable time caring for Nelson in Sam and Peter’s beautiful home and garden. We wouldn’t hesitate to repeat the experience if we were visiting the UK again. Nelson genuinely stole our hearts and we highly recommend this housesit.
This was a lovely sit with two easy pets, once I realized that Biz, the cat, is a champion hider. She scared me the first day when I couldn’t find her anywhere, but then Angelina texted to tell me she actually hides IN the sofa. After that, it was easy going. Biz came out every evening for head rubs, some playtime and dinner. The house is adorable, super clean and well organized, with a long range view of Honolulu port and the sea beyond. Xoe was as mellow as could be and just meandered from her bed to the couch and back again. She’s easy on the lead and lets you know when she wants to go for a walk and also when she doesn’t. So between a hiding cat, a mostly sleeping dog, a friendly hostess and a comfortable, cute house, this is a great sit.
Sam, oh I Sam. I miss him. Sam is a dog with a big personality, lots of energy and so adorable. It’s easy to fall in love with him, he follows the commands well, he is playful and very intelligent. Karen is kind open and helpful. She made things easy for us to do a good job. It was a great sit and would love to see Sam again.
Looking after daphne and martyn's place was a dream. The area is fantastic for a stroll along the river and a dog friendly pub just down the road. Communication was fantastic and everything we needed to know before hand was sorted. The dogs were amazing fun, full of energy and excitement (although be prepared for a sharp 7 am wake up!) Rockie had such a fun personality and loved to play with his tennis balls and in the hose when it was hot and we couldn't walk. Sophie was adorable and was quite happy just sitting near to you. Occasionally stealing a ball from rockie and having a smug face about it. Thanks for having us.
Twiglet and Percy were great fun, and very active, enjoying long walks on the beautiful Ridgeway. I had a fantastic two weeks, exploring local walks with the dogs and a few cycles and swims. Caia's home is beautiful and the garden is lovely to sit and read a book, and keep the dogs company.
It was good had a few little problems ,, but I was able to keep it all under controll very nice people and very loving pets
