I thoroughly enjoyed house sitting for Arne and Jan. Their poodle “Chobe” was an absolutely amazing dog to take care of during my stay. He was incredibly well behaved and is one of the sweetest (possibly the sweetest) dogs that I have encountered. Chobe was very easy to adapt to and truly loves being around people any chance that he gets. Arne and Jan’s house is also in a very beautiful area — surrounded by mountains yet only a short five minute drive to a grocery store, restaurant or brewery. Arne and Jan were also very accommodating hosts and were incredibly hospitable from the moment I arrived until I left. Also, to top it off, both Arne and Jan have spent extensive time in Africa and their house has many unique items they have collected during their travels which just made this house sit absolutely perfect. Would gladly return if my schedule matched theirs and would recommend anyone that has the opportunity to house sit for Arne and Jan to seize the opportunity. Truly felt like I was on a retreat! P.S. Arne and Jan are also really great individuals to chat with and are filled with great stories.
A very comfortable stay in Seattle! Sadie is a super sweet and easygoing dog, I really enjoyed playing and spending time around her, specially those walks around the neighborhood and trails. Lori and her husband were very welcoming and helpful since day one. They left printed the welcome guide in the kitchen which contains very helpful info about Sadie and the house itself. I really liked the neighborhood and I felt safe at all times. I would housesit for Lori again in a heartbeat, I totally recommend it!
This was a wonderful sit. Karen and Richard were wonderful hosts. I was given a thorough orientation when I arrived and made to feel very welcome and appreciated. Once they were gone, Karen responded quickly via text when questions came up. Their house is beautiful and spacious and located on a quiet, private cul-de-sac. It was very clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Buddy is a friendly dog, very well-behaved, and a pleasure to care for. He likes to be petted, sit in your lap, and go for walks. We walked in the neighborhood and to nearby parks, being careful to avoid off-leash dogs, which can cause Buddy some stress. Their house is centrally located near downtown Monterey and within easy distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, other local attractions, and hiking trails. I was able to get out daily to various local coastal locations. I would definitely recommend this house sit!
Bijan and I really enjoyed meeting Janet and Rob and their super-sweet pets Raffie and Lola. Raffie was a dream to take care of--loving, well-trained, and easy-going. Lola is elderly but loves a lap to lie in. Janet's instructions for the sit were very well-organized and helpful, including useful suggestions for nearby places to visit. The home was welcoming and clean, and Janet and Rob left us with wine and chocolates to enjoy. We took Raffie to the beach once and he was perfectly well-behaved. We loved the comfy guest bed, covered patio to drink morning coffee and throw the ball for Raffie, and the kitchen is well-appointed. Each day we got to walk Raffie through the most incredible wetlands preserve nearby. Definitely recommend.
Get ready for the world’s sweetest cats and coziest home! Soot and Maple immediately warmed up to me, and I loved interacting with them. Maple is a playful and engaged cat who is equal parts social and solo napper. Soot is an old sweetheart who melts when you rub her under the chin. Katelyn and Dan were dream hosts. They oriented me to the house over video in advance, left helpful instructions, and welcomed me like family. I enjoyed my time at their home and would happily return.
It was such a pleasure staying at Carolin's flat for the past week. I was fortunate enough to have Carolin welcome me in person and explain the logistics of Dean's routine, how to use the various appliances, and provide me with ideas of things I could do around Puchheim and Munich despite the rainy weather I encountered upon my arrival. Dean warmed up to me right away was super low-maintenance throughout the sit. Since he usually does his potty outdoors, all I really had to do was cuddle, play, and feed him. And most of the time, Dean would simply sit on my lap and we would enjoy each other's company. The flat was clean, organized, and spacious, and it had a great, safe location that was quiet yet convenient to the grocery store, restaurants, and commuting options.
