Kate was a wonderful house and cat sitter. Communication was easy, she was friendly, easy going and took great care of our house and cats, who were happy and relaxed on our return (and clearly lived Kate too from the photos and updates while we were away). All round a superb experience and would have Kate back any day (and can fully recommend to anyone else)!

Laura was an excellent cat sitter and kept me updated on how kitty was doing. I got photos and was assured she was getting lots of love and attention. Laura left the house really clean and tidy and even sent a handover list of everything in the house and with kitty for my return. Super efficient and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Laura.

We felt totally confident leaving the house and cats with Teddy for 2.5 weeks. She has pet sat for us before so she was the obvious choice for this trip. We have got to know here better and she is a lovely person. She takes great care of the fur babies and they seemed very relaxed with her. It really helps to have a trusted and caring individual at home so you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

Crystal

Crystal is a really lovely person with a warm personality and kind, honest heart. We very much enjoyed getting to know her. We were pleased that our two Burmese cats seemed happy in her care. The house was very tidy on our return and we were grateful for some delicious quiche left in the fridge when we got home late at night. She also laundered the bedsheets and gave us a beautiful plant/card which was very kind. We hesitate to share that there were a few challenges, given how lovely Crystal is, but feel that zeewoi only works if there is a degree of transparency so that people can decide whether a sitter is right for their circumstances. Our two house cats are pretty straightforward and basically just need some companionship and food three times a day. We had clearly said in the welcome guide and during the demo food preparation before we left that one of the cats needed medicine in her morning feed. We showed Crystal where this was stored in the fridge. She took a photo of the jar and amount of powder needed. However, Crystal forgot to add this medication to the cat's food until half way through our holiday which did cause us some worry. A picture in a glass frame was knocked off the wall whilst we were away (no big issue as these things can happen) but, instead of vacuuming up afterwards, Crystal left a towel to cover the remaining tiny shards of glass which couldn’t be picked up by hand. This wasn’t ideal as these could have easily ended up in the cats’ paws (...one of their favourite past times is exploring under covers, sheets, etc). Crystal did offer to reimburse us for the re-framing of the picture which we didn’t expect or take up but her offer was appreciated. However, to our surprise, the morning after we arrived home, we found the picture (which is quite precious to us) had been put outside on the patio. Thank goodness there had been no rain. We really wish Crystal the best for the future. We are pleased to have crossed paths with her and, most of all, will remember her warmth and kindness. We want to note that Crystal's other reviews seem to reflect smooth experiences so perhaps these hiccups were just a one off occurrence.

Kate and her friend Christie were excellent sitters, great communication throughout and super respectful of Cuba’s routine & personality quirks. They left the house so tidy which was lovely to come back to. We would definitely recommend them to others

Came back to happy dogs and a tidy house, thanks so much Maggie! Our Tamaskan can be a handful but she did a great job with him and our elderly Patterdales. Felt our pets were in very safe hands.

Jane

Jane and John were exceptional house and dog sitters. They looked after our Labrador Harri brilliantly and gave her the absolute life of Riley! We received regular photos and videos of Harri and could tell she was loving life and receiving lots of attention and affection. In fact, when Jane and John left, Harri did literally sulk for a couple of days! I would have no hesitation to recommend Jane and John and would be thrilled for them to sit for us again if they can.

Lucy & Michael

Lucy and Michael are a delightful couple. They are reliable, punctual, and communicative. Most importantly, they provided fabulous care to our dog, who loved them. Coco was looked after by them for a month and he was in top condition when we returned. I suspect he was hoping for a transfer to these new parents! Lucy kept in regular contact with us while we were away and my fretting faded away as I could see how well looked after he was. On our return the apartment was immaculate. We would have no hesitation in asking Lucy and Micael to care for Coco in the future and highly recommend them. Thank you zeewoi for enabling this arrangement.

We can heartily recommend Tatiana as a house and pet sitter. She is confident and very competent, keen to understand all the workings and needs of both house and pet, leaving no detail to chance. Tatiana made rapid friends with our labrador Ruby and both of them became recognised around our village as they regularly walked out or stopped for coffee at a local camp site. A cosy traditional cottage, full of character and lovingly restored, nestled in the Leitrim countryside. Very comfortable and we felt at home pretty much straight away. We had been able to visit beforehand, so got excellent demonstrations and explanations of all the jobs to do with animal care. Once you get the hang of it, it's straight forward. Dog, cat, donkeys, horse and those three geese are all SUCH great strong characters - it was a delight to spend time with and get to know them. Ducks/ hens/ guineafowl are doing their own thing, but are a pleasure to have wandering around. We loved walks with Emma the dog and also the two donkeys, who are grateful for the opportunity to browse the roadside hedges. Lough Allen is just down the road - good swim spot - and Drumshanbo is a ten minute drive - great pubs, a good café and friendly locals. Many walks within the area or you could just stay home and chill with all the critters. If a hidden rural gem with lots of animal action is your thing, we can highly recommend this stay. And we would definitely come back!

This is hands down the best house sit we've done to date. Mindy and Dave were wonderful. They left detailed instructions for us and everything was easy to take care of. 

Eesa is the cutest cat. She loved to play fetch with us. She cuddled with us a lot at night and in the morning. She's also the best behaved cat we've ever watched. She didn't try to walk on our laptops or chew any cables. We miss her already!

Their house is beautiful. We watched the sunrise over the mountains every morning from the balcony. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The location was great. We spent lots of time hiking since there are so many great trails within an hour of the house. It was especially pretty in the fall. 

We would love to come back and house sit for them again some time.
