We had the most wonderful time at Julia's and Mike. Beautiful home, where we felt so welcomed, they made space for our things , even on a weeks sit, which was really thoughtful. We were blown away by the delicious (and huge) mac and cheese / sausages made for our dinner! Sasha is a rare dog. She looks so unique and really has a personality when she starts to trust you. She loves attention, but is such a sweet lil lady. We loved having her in the room, snoring away gently. We had no problems at all with her. Gorgeous location, gorgeous dog, wonderful people. Really look forward to sitting again xx
This was a nice start to my housesitting journey. Just a few days, but long enough to fall in love with both Lola and Hobbs. Such sweet dogs, and so different. Both were very easy-going and undemanding. The house is lovely, well situated, very quiet, but close (short drive) to everything. The large back yard attracts a lot more wildlife than my smaller back yard.
We had a fantastic experience with Lucinda and James. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, and their house was spotless and impeccably maintained. Their dogs, Jinx and Aki, were wonderfully behaved. Just a heads up: Aki has quite the reach and will snack on anything left on the counter! The expansive grounds made walking the dogs a pleasant experience. We also had the pleasure of meeting Lucinda’s mother, Jenny. She was an absolute delight, inviting us over for drinks and making our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the lovely dogs, and Lucinda's exceptional hospitality.
Phil and Jess were very welcoming when I arrived and were able to be flexible with my travel plans. We had some time to get to know each other at both ends of my stay - Jess and Phil are lovely people! They made sure that I had everything I needed for my stay, including tips about things to see and where to find the nearest grocery store. Unfortunately, the weather was not as cooperative, but I did have some nice walks around the area. Dot was a bit shy to begin with, but she loved to cuddle on the couch in the evenings once she got used to me. I enjoyed my stay with Dot and would highly recommend sitting for her if you get the chance!
Our house sit in Victoria’s place with Amber was a lovely experience for three weeks! The home in the countryside was wonderful, quiet and yet not too far from shops when necessary! Amber was a lively little dog who liked her walks, well behaved and when at home would always let you know if someone passed the house - she was a good companion while we were there!
Rocky is a lucky dog with his amazing family in the most beautiful neighbourhood of London. The house has everything you wish for, and I could sleep in the spare room with my own bathroom, which was very comfortable. Richmond has lots of dog owners who love to talk with you, especially once you're in East Sheen Park or Richmond Park. There is also a really nice street with coffee shops and restaurants at a 5-minute walk from the house. Rocky was the most loving, social and well-behaved dog, I've ever met. He followed me around the house, loves all dogs and all people and I could let him off the leash without any worry. He also joined me in having a coffee at local cafes, everyone loved him. Rocky does love the mud and jumping into the water, so if it's rainy outside, prepare yourself for giving Rocky a nice bath afterwards. He is used to this, so I could do this without any trouble. Francis and his family, Rocky's owners, made sure I had everything I needed for the housesit, and we had daily contact to make sure everything was okay. I'm definitely coming back to take care of Rocky again.
