Claire made us feel right at home. She is caring and extremely hospitable. We enjoyed our stay at her home. Their home is centrally located in the very trendy and exciting Fells Point neighborhood. Would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself. Highly recommend.
Nancy and Jonathan were gracious hosts and made us feel welcome. They made sure we were oriented to where everything is in the house, and showed us where they take Shelby for hikes and walks. We all went for a walk with Shelby before going to dinner the night before they left for their early morning flight. We also were introduced to their friendly neighbors whom we would chat with occasionally throughout our stay. The Welcome Guide was detailed and up to date. It will answer all your questions, and additional questions were answered quickly via text. Their home was clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with our morning coffee, admiring the gorgeous mountain views. I also enjoyed their beautiful backyard garden in the afternoons and it was easy to take care of the watering. The queen bed in the guest bedroom was comfy, plenty of closet space with hangers for our use and we had our own bathroom. The house is in a good central location close to Route 70 and I-40. It is situated at top of a steep hill and you will get quite a workout if you walk Shelby in the neighborhood, however you have the option to use the owner’s Prius car to drive down to a lake (about 3 minute drive away) to walk. There are gravel paths around the lake. North Carolina is known for their black bears. Nancy and Jonathan did warn us about them and instructed us to always check the fenced backyard and make noise before letting Shelby out first thing in the morning and before bed. We had no issues there. We had a wonderful time exploring the small towns and hiking in the mountains of North Carolina. We especially enjoyed the NC Arboretum (the owners left their membership pass for us to use) with Shelby. Black Mountain is a cute town worth checking out. Shelby is a gentle sweet boy and will follow you everywhere as he likes to be near people. He has an easy to follow routine, and he will remind you if you forget! He is accustomed to three walks a day, or an adventure hike. He walks very well on leash and is a joy to be with. Shelby goes to doggie day care camp twice a week, which will give you ample time to explore surrounding areas with a peace of mind knowing that he is in good hands. We appreciated the fact that we were able to drop Shelby off at dog camp at end of our housesit. It allowed us to leave early without the worry of leaving him alone for too long before the owners arrive home from their trip.
Tilly is a beautiful, well behaved doggy and the delightful Strach is a very smart rabbit who knows his routines! Ann and Richard's home is spacious, clean, very comfortable and is in a great location. Their Welcome Guide is very comprehensive and they responded promptly to any questions. Bowen Island is one of the prettiest islands that I have visited and surprisingly for its size has many easy flat trails as well as uphill trails. Ann and Richard are warm and easy going and I highly recommend this sit.
Dara lives in a cozy residential neighborhood with easy access to the closest trolley station, which is about an eighteen-minute walk away. Aspen is an extremely active puppy. She enjoys playing catch and tug of war. She also enjoys affection and attention much like all dogs do. Get used to the hugs since she is a cute jumper.
I had such a relaxing stay at Friederike's and Anja's place and so appreciated the excellent communication before, during, and after the sit. The cats are all quite independent and easy to care for and the house and garden are lovely. The location is perfect - quite near Munich (easy 20 minute train hop) and yet quiet and peaceful. It's just is a short walk from the center with shops and even a small movie theatre. I enjoyed jogging along the Würm River and in the nearby woodlands. Highly recommend!
Beverley has a lovely flat in a gorgeous part of town. Ritzy and Coco are both extremely sweet and friendly. Probably the easiest pets to look after I’ve had so far! Bev’s communication was direct and clear and her instructions put my mind completely at ease. Would 100% recommend this sit!
