We had a lovely stay at June's place in Balmain. Bernie was a delight to look after - he's a very relaxed and affectionate cat. The house was really comfortable and spacious and in a great location - 5 minutes walk from the centre of Balmain. We would highly recommend, and would be happy to house sit again!
I had a really great stay at Jean & Bucky's place in Kehl, Germany. Their spacious and light-filled apartment is located right in front of a little park (that extends out to the park which runs along the river), almost next to the town centre and a short walk to the train station. Right across the river is France & Strassbourg with its historical city centre, that you can cycle or take a tram to. And from the train station in Kehl it's very easy to get into the villages & hills of the Black Forest in the other direction (buy a local dayticket train/bus for 8.60 euro!). So while e.g. on a Saturday I cycled into Strassbourg, the next day I was hiking in the snow in the Black Forest National Park. Of course the star of the show is kitty Bisoux, who is very easy-going & (I think) likes everyone. Bisoux loves getting attention (and will ask for it if he doesn't get enough), cuddles, back massages, kitty chatter, and let's not forget..food! Occasionally he may get the zoomies, although he quite prefers chilling. Unlike some cats who only like being cuddled in certain places or for so long, this is not the case with Bisoux...he just can't get enough of a good cuddle. And let's not forget Jean & Bucky: although I didn't meet them in person, communication was very easy and we had a enjoyable little exchange each day via Whatsapp. Highly recommended!
I had such a lovely time sitting for Bertie ❤️ the home was beautiful and Liz and Shane were so welcoming. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
We had the BEST experience on this housesit. Sidney and Larry are wonderful, caring people and made us feel very welcome in their amazing home. Olivia is a sweetheart of a dog (someday when we decide to get a dog we can only hope to find one as wonderful as Olivia)!! She is very smart, easy-going and loving. A full belly rub is her most favorite thing followed by walks in the woods around their home. We truly loved being on this housesit and now consider Sidney and Larry friends. We hope to see them again before too long. Overall, a wonderful experience (except now we’re missing all of them!).
Being chosen for the house sit on Montserrat was an honor but I had no idea how wonderful it would be. Their villa is spacious , well appointed and comfortable and their friends were so warm. I was shown the island by Peter and Margaret before they left, had the use of their car while they were gone and on many occasions, their friends picked me up to have dinner. I was invited to the Queen's birthday celebration, toured the devastated city of Plymouth with Sun Lea and went hiking to the dry waterfall with local friends. Jack, Nel and Roddy are the best, each having a unique and special personality. It's easy to love them all, though Nel is a bit standoffish. I hope to have the opportunity to return there and share back yard ball time with the pooches. Thank you Margaret and Peter for a most wonderful stay on the safe and magical island of Montserrat .
It was a lot of fun (save for the 'chocolate' incident!). HA HA. Hope all is well.
