This was my first sit for Jenny, Simon and the lovely Bella and I hope it won't be my last! As the sit was almost a month long I had plenty of opportunity to explore the local area and there is much to do and see, especially if you like being outdoors although there are plenty of nice coffe shops and pubs too, although a car is a necessity. Jenny and Simon's house is in a beautiful rural location with stunning views. I loved sitting in the kitchen window seats looking out over the river and watching the birds and wildlife. The house is very comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen, cosy TV room and very snuggly bed. The garden was huge and a lovely place to walk around, I had my own dog with me and he loved exploring it. Bella is a lovely gentle girl who loves to sleep and get her belly tickled as much as possible! She has a few favourite places to snooze in the house but she definitely likes to stretch out on the sofa. She gets pretty excited when she knows it's time for a walk and even though she has a sore leg at the start of my sit, she was always keen to go. The chickens were easy to look after and I had plenty of eggs to see me through my stay. Ludlow is a nice town and there are several National Trust places not too far away, plus lots of hills to explore. I recommend this sit and hope that I could return sometime in the future.
Leslie and Nadia were wonderful to interact with from pre-booking interviews, a meet and greet with Samie, and any correspondence during their time away. I was honored they chose me as it is very clear how much they adore and care for Samies well being. They set me up for success with a detailed care book for Samie, all of their travel arrangements, emergency contacts, and house guide. Their house is in a wonderful area of Bozeman and Samie and I enjoyed walking the neighborhood and local trails. Samie became quite my sidekick as we took roadtrips, skied and won the hearts of all my colleagues on zoom calls. He's an amazing dog that loves company and being by your side. He brought so much joy to my time spent in Bozeman and anyone would be so lucky to care for him in the future (if it's not me!).
We had a great time looking after Sadie! She was easy company, and super playful on walks to the various parks in the area. Andy and Megan made the sit very easy, with clear instructions for looking after Sadie and the house (including setting up a WhatsApp chat so we could ask any questions while they were away). They also gave us lots of good recommendations around the area. Highly recommend!
Hannah and Oli are easy to communicate with and they have an adorable young furry man who provided me with great companionship last weekend 🐕🐶🐕🦺🐩🐾🐾 . There home is also beautiful and a uplifting environment .
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the trio in Anne's home. The house was spotless upon my arrival and directions for care, feeding and any home needs were very clear. The neighborhood is a great distance from the city - allowing for quiet and walkable streets without bumping into college parties, but also easy access to food, coffee and groceries. The pets were a blast, both cats actually warmed up to me pretty quickly and Molly's a big lovable sweetheart. If you get the chance to sit in the winter definitely take advantage of the amazing fireplace, I spent a good chunk of my time on the couch enjoying it. Thanks Anne for being a great host and I'd be happy to come back in the future sometime!
Milo is the cutest and most joyful puppy. Always happy to see you! You give him attention and cuddles and then he will be good for a while, playing with his toys and watching the area. Penny was a great host. Always responding when we had a question and making sure we were happy and comfortable. Truthfully, the place was a beautiful surprise with a breathtaking view of Alcatraz and the bay. Don’t hesitate if you want to have a fun and peaceful getaway at inly 39 min from DT san Francisco. We would go again with pleasure.
