Rocky is a formerly feral cat and as I suspected, he was cautious and would not let Janessa near him. He didn’t run out of the house (he has a cat door) as he did with a prior sitter, but stayed in the same room with Janessa. He trusted her and stayed in the house most of the time during the sit. The last prior sit he stayed outside the whole time. Janessa was quick to respond to any questions we had and she needed very little further assistance from us during the sit. We were able to enjoy our honeymoon thanks to Janessa’s handling of Rocky. Janessa washed linens she used and left the house clean and in order.
Deborah and Collin welcomed us so warmly into their home. We met them before our job started to get to know each other and the dogs. They showed us around and cooked for us, we had a great time. The house was exactly as described, a beautiful newly renovated house right in the center of Christchurch. A well equiped kitchen where we enjoyed baking bread and cakes. On top of that they also have a hot tub which was great. The area has plenty of options for walks with the dogs, which we enjoyed a lot. A lot of times we took the dogs to the beach for a walk which was a highlight for all of us. The dogs are quite young (18 months) and needed to be walked, fed and brushed daily. We recieved a very detailed description about everything from Deborah and Collin which helped a lot. Roddy needs to wear a mussel when going for a walk. Once the dogs got used to us they liked to stay close and enjoyed a good rub on the belly. Unfortunatley a lot of times we felt overwhelmed as Roddy likes to bark a lot. All in all we had an amazing time and can only recommend this Housesitting Job.
A lovely place and great Housesit experience with such sweet dogs! Only issue: Bedroom for sitter (me) was really cold; the room had no heat despite having a radiator in it. I’m sure it won’t be a problem, once the weather warms up. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience, taking care of 2 precious pups…
I absolutely loved by stay at Alice and Ranice's place. The setting was peaceful with a beautiful view. The house was clean, and they were very gracious allowing me to use whatever I needed to feel at home. Sophie is a sweetie, and took a bit to warm up, but as soon as she did she was a very gentle and talkative girl! Would definitely recommend this as a place to sit.
We had a lovely time sitting for Lara and Phil. Ghost and Heath are just beautiful and extremely well behaved dogs and was an absolute pleasure walking them each day. Was fun checking for eggs each day from the ducks and chickens!! Lara and Phil's house is beautiful and only 15 min walk into the centre of York, which is a stunning city to explore. Thanks guys for the opportunity to look after your house and pets!
Silva is a very open, warm and welcoming person. Her dog, Aja, is easy going and friendly. She gets along with people and dogs alike, so easy to handle. The cats were around most of the time and liked cuddles, too. The house is small but cute and cozy. Celje is a small, nice town with a historic center. Lots of (dog friendly) coffees! I recommend this sit to everybody animal lover who prefers small towns to big cities.
I had a wonderful time with my hosts Heather and Anthony and their lovely dog Esky. Heather and Anthony are extremely hospitable pet owners. I also felt very comfortable in their modern and well-kept apartment near the Newton Hawker Centre in Singapore. Esky is a wonderful dog and was a dear and loyal companion to me during my house sits. I look forward to looking after Esky again and to house-sitting for Heather and Anthony again. Thank you so much for everything, and let's keep in touch. Best wishes Thomas :)))
