We have a newfy, who always needs extra brushing to get all of his excess fur out. Our groomer did an excellent job! We switched to Rocky Mountain when our groomer retired and have been very pleased. The workers are sweet with the dogs and are very professional.
Mishka (male) and Tachi (female) love spending overnights at Rocky Mtn K9! We always know our dogs will be well cared for and loved. Rocky Mtn was super flexible with our schedule. Thank you!
I genuinely believe this place has a lot of potential, and I am grateful for the great grooms I received as well as being able to figure out the website issues with the owner, who is very nice. I just think if they can get workers to stay long enough to learn how to run it a little better, things will be great! The reason I've decided not to return is that I had a terrific groomer there until she left without warning and was replaced with someone else who, while she did a great job, wasn't what I asked for! She also trimmed my dog's nail so short that you could see blood! My husband is quite fussy about our dog's appearance, and we were concerned. The manager was present when I picked him up and saw what Loki looked like, and while I did say I would pay the bill, I just wasn't comfortable with it, she offered to cover the fee for that day. I thought that was extremely nice. I took Loki back for his next appointment, which was a basic bath, blowout, and brush, where I had initially scheduled a month in advance to cut his nails. While there, I spoke with a couple teenagers who were new and puzzled, and I explained exactly what I wanted. I had my mother pick him up because I had to work once he was done, only to find out later that they had still done his nails despite my request not to. I was really concerned and checked his nails right away, only to learn that they barely dremeled his rear paws and did not touch his front, but they still wanted to charge me for the whole service of nail trimming. While it may seem silly to be annoyed about this, how many times do you have to explain anything before someone listens? I did call, and I don't play games; I'm direct, and many people misinterpret what I say because I don't beat around the bush. When I inquired why they opted to dremel his nails after I told them not to, the person on the phone was very defensive, and if they did, why only the back? And why was I charged for the nails if they weren't done? I was told that you're always charged for the complete service even if it's not done, and that if I didn't like their services, I could find somewhere else. I told her I wanted a refund and that I didn't think it was acceptable, and she offered to have me take him back to get his nails done the next day, but first I had work, and second, are you kidding me? All because I genuinely hold you accountable for your behavior. She finally claimed she would refund me $10, and I politely expressed my gratitude, only for her to never refund me. I will not recommend anyone to come here, nor will I ever return. Again, I believe there is a lot of potential for this firm to succeed; but, I believe it is difficult to locate decent, hardworking people that take pride in their work.
My 2 year old Canecorso was aggressive to all people and dogs. I could not let people come to my house. He was too strong to walk and if we saw other people or dogs I could barely hold the leash. I called rocky mt k9 they took him a few times and I have a completely different dog now. I’m able to have company over and can walk him without a leash. It’s night and day! If your looking at this review I’d assume you need help like I did. Book their services sooner than later
Ive taken my Aussie there a few times already and she always comes home happy, healthy and TIRED! We love that for our aussie! She will be staying for a longer stay in the next few days and I have zero worries that she wont get the best care possible!
Beware of the K-9 club the company is trying to get everyone to sign up for. They do not explain all of the fees and they start and stop the charges without any notification.
Although Abby is happy to be home, I know she misses her friends at Rocky MTN K9 (both dogs & humans). Thank you for giving her so much love while she is away from home.
Rocky Mountain K9 did such a great job with both our Portuguese water dogs. Both our pups look amazing and smell great. One of our dogs is a handful too, so I know it probably wasn’t an easy job. We are already on the books for our next visit.
Always amazing!! I trust David and the group of amazing employees with my two dogs frequently. My dogs are happy and in great hands.
David is very responsive and sensitive to our dogs needs. He is flexible with our schedule and has helped us tame our German shepherds. We feel very comfortable leaving our dogs with him as sometimes we have to leave them for almost a full week. We get photo and video updates and our dogs always look like they’re having fun. David cares greatly about the dogs in his care and makes sure all dogs are safe and comfortable.
