Emily and Ross (Jake) were generous hosts for this month-long sit in Boulder. We met in-person beforehand and Ross requested two references, which he called before confirming the sit. They encouraged me to arrive early and I really appreciated spending time with both of them. Rojo is the star of the household. He is very affectionate and loved laying on my chest or as close to my face as I would allow him. He loves head scratches, hunting for string and toys, and exploring the house. If you walk by the back sliding doors, he will meow to go outside but he was housebound while with me since he apparently has bad recall. The household is setup for easy care: automated feeder, water fountain, and large litter bin. I just wish Rojo realized that I didn't determine his breakfast time so there is no reason to brush my face early in the morning. LOL. I enjoyed a pristine, snowy January. The home provides a great view of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and the rest of the city from this eastern slope of the Boulder Valley. I was comfortable at home and felt capable of exploring. I recommend free Boulder walking tour, exploring the local trails and bike routes, and getting into the high country or Denver area to your preference. I enjoyed many events and good meals around town. I highly recommend this sit.
Villain is the most gentle dog I’ve met, despite his size. He’s playful and funny and loves a cuddle. The house was comfortable and the village is lovely. There are lots of great walks and the owners had left good instructions. I’m hoping to be invited back in the future.
We had a wonderful time in Soquel, CA with Jacks staying in Laura’s beautiful home. It was convenient to be practically across the street from a Safeway and within 10 minutes from any food you’d want, things to do etc. The home was lovely and provided all the amenities we would need to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We had fun playing with Jacks and giving her treats to when she jumped up to her cat-shelves 😄 Laura was easy to communicate with. We will miss cuddling with Jacks and we would love to sit again for Laura another time.

I had so much fun sitting for Anna! Her home is beautiful and the neighborhood is in a quiet, walkable part of Portland I had not yet had a chance to explore. I found some new favorites nearby! Oslo and Kitty were so fun to hang out with. Anna communicated clearly throughout the sit so taking care of them was a breeze. I would highly recommend sitting for Anna and would come back anytime.
