We are so thankful for the opportunity to stay with Bailey at Linda and Tim's beautiful home in Summerland. Both were so welcoming and made us feel comfortable right away, and generously left us with a welcome hamper of fresh local produce, milk and bread. Bailey is a fun girl, she loves nothing more than playing ball, but when it's not play time she will sleep beside you or at your feet, in whichever room you are based in. The local region is abundant in vineyards and orchards which are lovely to walk around, and the lake with beach less than 100 metres from the house. We would gladly recommend this sit to others. Thank you both, and pass on a tummy rub for sweet Bailey from us please!
My first "trusted" sit! I reached out to someone locally that lives on my favorite Island, which is also 10 minutes from my home. When I met Lisa, we clicked immediately and her cute studio is the kind of place I would rent if I was traveling and using airbnb. Everything I needed for a quiet staycation and a short walk to the beach and to the city center and all of the Folly shops and restaurants. Her dog, Eli is the sweetest dog ever and is at that age that he just wants his walks, to sleep and his belly rubbed. The birds Echo and Rainbow....Echo has a wildly large vocabulary. I had just gotten back from photographing bears in Smokey Mtn NP and when he said "look at the bear" I almost peed. Everyone on my facebook page has been entertained by Echo this week. Rainbow is a smaller Beautiful bird and likes to be heard, but doesn't talk. They were either both silent at night or I slept so well that I never heard them once I turned off the lights. ** Best places to eat - Woody's Pizza and Jack of Cups, both a short walk. Jack of Cups if your a vegetarian or adventuresome eater. **Best Shopping - Wednesday Folly Night Market at The Washout, Check out Beaded Venus, Coolest Jewelry and she makes candy that is as pretty as it taste.
Jenni is a very charming person, she explained all the details carefully and all the instructions were clear and easy to follow. She made sure we had everything at our disposal so we had a comfortable stay. She even brought me a little present for my birthday! We were able to spend some time with her drinking tea the last day before we left and it was a very enjoyable conversation. We left being in love with the animals. All of them are very well behaved and very affectionate. You can go for a walk to the mountains with Robin without any problem and he helps you find the way back home so you don't get lost. The house is fully equipped with everything you need, very nice neighbors, close to the center and in a very quiet area. We would love to repeat because it was a very nice and relaxing experience.
It was a wonderful experience sitting for Chris and Gary! They have a warm inviting home that’s easy to care for and the main attraction was Ranger and Sailor!! They made me feel like a celebrity as I drove them around in the gulf cart and waved back at so many people who found them to be so adorable! This was by far, the best of my nine sits!!!
My experience watching Deegan in Blowing Rock was nothing short of spectacular! Deegan is such a smart, sweetheart. My 11 month old French Bull Dog clung to him like a big brother. He just coudn't get enough of him. The day would start early. I would walk the dogs at 6:30 am, so that I could witness the spectacular sunrises. It truly was like watching a show unfold everyday. The show started with the magnificent sunrise and continued with watching all kinds of exotic birds dive into the bird feeders on James' porch. During the day I also witnessed the military flying their jets overhead. The ground shook and the mountains roared like thunder. My stay with Deegan was so much fun and very exciting. I took so many videos while walking the dogs and watching the sunrises. James was extremely helpful in showing me around he property and explaining my responsibilities, which were also conveniently posted on the refrigerator. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone.
We had a very nice time in the very comfortable house of David and Kalina with great views and nice walks next to the house, there are beautiful towns to visit in the area. They received us very hospitably and are super nice people! Sky and Newton stole our hearts both tough but affectionate cuties. The cats go their own way but are also very affectionate. We would love to come back and definitely recommend this housesit.
