John
It was a great pleasure to take care of Peggy, Jimmy and the house!
Lynne and John are such a lovely couple. We had a sit before theirs nearby, which they suggested us for. We already met in person during that time, since they asked us to join a walk with the dogs at the beach, showed us a market and grabbed a coffee together. They are so welcoming, kind and caring!
The house is warmly and tenderly furnished and decorated, we felt comfortable immediately.
Peggy and Jimmy are also very cute and the combo of little old princess Peggy, who loves food and active and cheeky Jimmy is just too funny. Peggy is very easy to handle, you just have to keep an eye on her so she doesn’t steal Jimmy’s food. With Jimmy, we needed a short time to analyze his barking to understand if he’s hungry, wants to go out, or wants the pack to be together. But it was manageable and within a totally acceptable scope. He is a bit „difficult“ with food, but with some calmness, patience and sticking around until he starts eating (it helps when Peggy is eating at the same time😄) we had him eating pretty well each day. And he is so fun to play with. Both love their cuddles and beach walks!
Lynne and John have some rules and routines with the dogs you should follow, accordingly, they listen well.
We would love to stay in touch with them and help them out many more times in the future!

Angeliki
Our stay at Angeliki’s was absolutely great. We had such a good time hanging out with Kaiser in Stockholm. Angeliki gave us all the instruction we needed when we met her the day before her departure. She explained about Kaiser’s medication, and gave us some recommendations to walk him around the neighborhood. He doesn’t like other dogs so we had to pay special attention to avoid close encounters.
Angeliki’s apartment is really comfortable, and is only half an hour by metro from the city center. We were able to explore Stockholm while enjoying the company of Kaiser at home. We highly recommend this housesit! Thank you, Angeliki, for allowing spending time with Kaiser! We miss him already!

Jill
What a great location to cat sit! Jill’s home is right in the heart of Denver, allowing me to spend a ton of time exploring the city and walking in Cheesman park. Jonah and Tama are very cute and have BIG personalities. I really enjoyed Jonah’s company while I worked from the kitchen booth every day.

Victoria
We had a great time at this sit! Victoria's house is lovely and we were blessed with beautiful autumnal sun. Victoria made us feel really welcome and went through where everything was in the house and everything for Lola & Bailey. She was on hand on message if we had any questions.

Lola and Bailey are absolute sweeties. We loved their cuddles and enjoyed lots of walks with them in Pontcanna Fields. They are a dream to look after. 100% would recommend!

ANGUS
It's hard to say what the best bit of sitting for Fi's and Angus's pack was. It might be the stunning setting of their home and watching the weather come across the hills, it could be walking the three dogs along the farm track, or it could be sitting at their kitchen table writing while Kanga and Safi played rough and tumble games.

I loved all the time I spent there. The three dogs are very special - Bouzi the Ridgeback is a mellow hound who stole my heart; Kanga the lab is so keen to please and the minx of the pack, young Safi is a hoot with her tactics with Kanga. The cats didn't get much of a look in but they did purr with appreciation when they got their food.

Instructions were all very clear as was communication. Fi and Angus were both so welcoming, I enjoyed getting to hear some of their fascinating travels from Fi on my final night there. They were both really accommodating: Angus picked me up from Lanark Station at the start of my sit and Fi took me to Peebles to catch my onward bus.

I enjoyed being on the property without a car, but if you are staying for more than a few days, a car would be useful.

I highly recommend this sit, these great dogs and welcoming hosts. My prediction is that Safi the Jack Russell will become the leader of the pack when she is grown up.

Kellie
I was very adaptable and flexible to kellie cancelling and changing her dates up to the day before the sit. She wanted to have a zoom call at 10pm the night before and I was already in bed. She told me that was fine because the welcome guide would cover everything anyway. I asked her to send a video but she said it wasn’t necessary.
Unfortunately she did not give me access to the welcome guide, so I found myself driving around south lake union for 30 mins going into random apartment buildings trying to find her apartment.
When she finally texted me the address I couldn’t get access to the building. I waited for 30 mins while the leasing agent was interviewing someone then I decided to carry my bags up 2 flights of stairs( without disturbing the leasing agent), into the apartment.
It was extremely small with 3 pets.
But the main shock was to discover in her welcome guide only at this point that there were cameras in all the rooms, including the bedroom and 2 way radio microphones. The welcome guide warned that she would be “checking in” on the person by microphone.
I was in utter shock. I was not comfortable with that and I let her know immediately. I told her I wanted to leave but waited to see if she was okay with that.
She gave me the okay by text and I returned her keys and fob to the place where I had found them.
30 mins after I had left she asked me to take her dog out for a pee, but I was already at a dentist appointment on the other side of town.
I enjoy pet sitting, but there needs to be a level of mutual respect and trust involved.
Had she given me access to the welcome guide, or even better announced the cameras and 2 way radio microphones in posting I would not have applied for the sit. I was very honest about that.
In terms of leaving her in the lurch, she herself was ready to cancel the pet sit 24 hours before because she had reduced it to one night anyway, so she had other plans for care in place.
I am a respectful and honest person. This was a very unusual one-off experience for me and I was sad it turned out this way. All my other sits have been great.
Of course I understood that Kellie might well lash out with a bad review at me, but the cameras and microphones were not something I could wrap my head around.
It goes without saying that I would not recommend Kellie as a pet sit.
