Emma, Oliver, and Isobel's home was comfortable and super tidy with a beautiful and well tended garden. Ziggy and Ozzi are sweet, healthy cats, and super easy to care for. We were warned that Ozzi is a hunter, but although he was sweet with us, I guess we didn't rate as he never brought us any 'presents.' 😅 Charlbury is a quiet and lovely Cotswolds village with wonderful country walks and a pub, good restaurant, small grocery store, breakfast cafe, pharmacy, and public library all about a five minute walk. Although we rented a car for a couple of days so that we could arrive during a planned rail workers strike, and we used it to see some of the otherwise inaccessible villages, once we returned it, we got around fine by train and bus. Our hosts were kind and easygoing. We thoroughly enjoyed the sit and would love to return in the future.
Jodi and Mac were very kind, generous, down to earth, loving people. Their house is amazing and Lucy was a love bug. Lucy needs more training to not bite, jump, and walk on the leash. She is in her puppy years, so she did eat our computer charger and pants. Though she was a cuddle bug, funny, loving. Jodi did leave us a guide on trusted housesitters, however this app isn't always reliable ( so that is not her fault) and we could not read it, we did ask for an emailed or printed out version but unfortunately didnt recieve that. So there were no clear written instructions that we could return to, and had to keep asking them. So I'd communication wasn't clear. However, we do recommend this sit, the house is very lovely, people are amazing, and Lucy is a love bug.
I was scheduled to house sit for Brooke and her two dogs, but unfortunately, the sit was canceled a few days before the start date due to her dogs falling ill. Although I didn't get the chance to actually meet Brooke and complete the sit, I want to highlight her exceptional handling of the situation. Brooke was excellent in her communications throughout the process. She informed me of the situation promptly and was incredibly considerate of the impact this cancellation might have on me, particularly concerning costs and travel arrangements. What stood out was Brooke's integrity and efforts to minimize any inconvenience for me. Her approach was understanding and responsible, making a potentially stressful situation much easier to manage. Based on my experience with Brooke during this unexpected turn of events, I highly recommend her. Her respectful and thoughtful manner speaks volumes about her character, and I believe anyone would be fortunate to sit for her dogs in the future.
I made a really good experience with Geraldine. She is really courteous and helpful in terms of coming to her house(she picked me up at the train station) and living there. She is experienced and knows her dogs well. She can estimate how much she can trust someone and also arranged that I am only responsible for one dog (Charlie) as it was my very first sit. Her dogs are well behaved and I can only recommend her.
It was a pleasure spending time with Ginny and Jake in Seattle! Jessica was great, very welcoming, communicative and thorough in leaving written pet and home care instructions. Their home was very clean and cozy, conveniently located just a short distance from downtown Seattle. I would highly recommend!
Oslo is an amazing pup! He is extremely sweet, loves your company, and walks:) Danielle was very accommodating suggesting some great places to check out near by and has a wonderful home. I would definitely recommend sitting for them!
