Michael
To get to Michael's home in Del Rio I drove about 20 hours from Pembroke Maine and it was worth every minute in the car. Besides the house being very cozy and unique, the surrounding environment is stunning. My month stay there was comfortable, relaxing, and just an overall pleasure.

Jolie might just be the best dog I've sat for. Well behaved, listens, sociable with people, affectionate, and responsible. A fantastic companion. There really is no need to worry about her doing her thing throughout the day. Can keep the front door open and let her come and goes as she pleases. Audrey is your typical even mannered. Will come to you when she wants but enjoys a nice head scratch while in her bed.

Upon my arrival, some things went slightly awry and Michael was extremely accommodating during this period which was a great help for me. Additionally, Michael's social circle is fantastic for any "backup" one may need (I needed some and they were extremely generous in helping me). Just lovely good-natured people worth spending time with if they give you an invite to their homes.

I cannot recommend Michael's place enough if one is looking for a lovely experience of life in the mountains. Del Rio is very quiet but one can find plenty to do with the surrounding nature of the SMokey Mountians. Newport is a short drive for necessities and surrounding towns/cities are short or a reasonable drive away. Make sure to get some buttermilk pie to go with your coffee while in town.
Thanks a million, Michael!

Jenn
We had such a great time sitting for Jenn and her family. They were so welcoming when we arrived and gave us a thorough rundown of how everything worked. The chickens are easy to care for and the dogs are too! Tank and Bella are so sweet and will be loving companions the entire stay. They'll mostly lounge around with you in sight, but they are always up for walks and extra rubs. Their house was on a great piece of land right on the lake with plenty to do and just a great atmosphere overall. Highly recommend and looking forward to the next sit!

Julian and Janie were kind and generous hosts, making us feel very welcome in their very special home. They were very easy to communicate with throughout the experience, one which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Havoc had boundless energy, affection and zest for life, and he loved helping us explore the many local areas which were new to us. He was also equally happy to lay calmly in the pub garden in the sunshine, while we enjoyed a well earned drink after a big walk.
We really enjoyed your lovely home, locality and looking after Havoc, thank you for having us!

Alison and Scott
What an amazing housesit!! Awesome humans, adorable furry friends and a gorgeous home with spectacular views on the Straight of Juan de Fuca, all get 10 stars from us. From our first interaction with Alison and Scott, we knew we had found a gem in this housesit. They welcomed us warmly into their home and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Brodie and Tassie are the friendliest dogs you could meet. If we had any apprehension about sitting a puppy, it went out the door the second we met Brodie. Such a sweet, bright and loving dog with excellent manners. Super easy to care for and so much fun to watch him play fight with his big sister Tassie. Tassie is a super chill dog, loves playing with balls, any ball, just keep throwing it and she’ll gladly fetch it for you. Long morning walks to French beach with them resulted in 2 happy dogs snoozing away until their next outing. We missed them as we drove away on the last day.

Chai, the siamese “boss” cat was a pleasure to get to know. She knows how to keep the pups in line as she makes her way to her throne on the sofa. She is the sweetest feline you could meet. We enjoyed taking care of this grand old lady, she loved having her head rubbed as she purred away.

The house is beautiful in a stunning location. The views will take your breath away. We truly felt spoiled. The weather for November was incredible, we got lucky. From their deck, we spotted eagles, orcas, seals and grey whales. Lots to do and explore in the area. The West Coast at its best.

So grateful to Alison and Scott for entrusting us with their home and furry friends. Thank you so much! Hope to see them again soon.

Boomba and Benji are the sweetest, intelligent and beautiful cats. Chris and Naz treat them with upmost care and they have everything a cat could want! Boomba’s tracking collar is fun to watch where he roams to, it’s also great to be able to call home at the end of the night and watch I’m sprinting down the street to you!
The house is cozy and very comfortable. Would be very happy to sit again and would recommend.
Thanks again

Amanda
This was a dream house sit! Amanda was a wonderful host, very accommodating and flexible with our handover. Her house is an oasis of calm right near town and it was lovely to pass the time reading a book while Kenzie napped. Kenzie captured our hearts- she was shy at first but by day two she was bouncing up to us for cuddles or doing a zoomie after going outside, then back to napping. We'd happily look after Kenzie again!
