My housesit here was lovely. The dogs are so sweet and fun. The cats are affectionate. The house is comfortable. I met Megan's children who are delightful. The location is great for public transportation and access to the centre of Bristol. Shopping, bars and restaurants are nearby. I got a great haircut while I was there.
Our five-week pet sit in Palm Springs at Robin’s gorgeous home was absolutely purrfect. The cats, Moto and Eight-Ball delighted us every day. They both missed Robin initially and were miffed when she disappeared but over the next few days and weeks, we all become fast friends. On occasion, Eight-Ball would even bring special presents to us from the courtyard. Special to him but the caught baby lizard was none too pleased. Most of the time, the little guy would escape back to where it came from. They are easy kitties to be around, playing and snoozing in the warm sun but then vocally letting us know in no uncertain terms when it was mealtime. We still miss them even after being back home now several days. Robin has an extraordinary mid-century modern home, clean, well-kept and beautiful. It is on a golf course in a private community. We loved everything about her place. Everything needed for comfortability and a long stay was there and we could ask for nothing more. Robin is a thoughtful, generous and kind person. Her welcome guide was concise leaving nothing to chance. We arrived the day before and she welcomed us to an overnight stay. She had everything organized for us so we would know where to find things and to become comfortable with the neighborhood. It was so nice to chat over lunch and dinner. We knew then and now that we had a blossoming friendship and can sincerely say that we’re sorry we couldn’t spend more time with this extremely talented woman. Communication from the first FaceTime meeting to the day she arrived home from vacation was frequent, informative and fun and we are indebted to her for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy all what the Coachella Valley has to offer and for her complete trust in us. I could go on and on about just how delightful our time spent here was but, suffice to say, we would rush to return to look after her home and precious feline sister and brother team 🐱anytime Robin requests and our schedules align. This is a ten out of ten pet sit!
Christeen and Mark are a lovely friendly couple who welcomed us with a fabulous meal, showed us around the house and garden , introduced us to the wonderful Fergie and Max, and left excellent , clear instructions for reference. We had a great time in the company of two characterful pets. They were easy to care for, had easy routines, were chilled, warm and friendly, and loved being around us when we were at home. The house was comfortable and cosy, and well situated for forests, shorelines and city visits. This was perfect for us as we love to walk. However, time spent sitting and strolling in the garden, with Fergie, was also very pleasurable. Christeen and Mark are a charming couple who we would like to keep in touch with. We would love to housesit for them again, should the opportunity and timings match. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.
I had a wonderful time petsitting in this lovely old cottage! - Such a beautiful area and gorgeous home. The dogs were adorable, and Jimmi the cat just so chilled! You'll need to be a strong to walk the dogs but they are a delight and are super fun to watch playing in the park! Johanna and Thomas's home certainly lives up to its name -- Serenity Point. The setting is breathtaking with views towards Rosario Strait and the Cascade range. Walking down to their beach you may even see Mount Rainer on clear days. Johanna and Thomas were always available for questions and very generous. We hope to get many more chances to watch over their beautiful home and sweet dog. The south end of Lopez Island is fairly uninhabited but there are plenty of trails and beaches to walk with Kono rain or shine. We found Akitas to be more independent than other dog breeds but after getting to know us she listened very well.
Sitting for Stella, Matt and their sweet pets Stone and Whiskey was such a blast. We had so much fun. The communication was easy and the accommodations were lovely. We felt right at home. We can't wait to sit for them again in the future. Thanks again for a positive experience!

Alex and Kama have been so welcoming and have totally put my mind at ease from first meeting them - I hadn't used a dog boarder before but I felt so relaxed leaving my dog with them. We’ve been having our Romanian rescue groomed by Doggy Ventures for some time now, and they always do a super job. Catherine really puts the needs of the dog first - he was initially very nervous but now gets so excited to see her! She’s also pays attention to what we need, is totally reliable and excellent value. I don’t hesitate to recommend her!
Catherine has been amazing with our crazy spaniel, who’s been going to daycare with her now for almost a year. We didn’t want to send her to a kennel environment as we knew she would be too stressed, so Doggy Ventures is perfect as it’s a real home from home! Our dog comes home happy and sleepy from playing with her friends. Catherine is so patient with her and really takes the time to get to know every dog and their personalities, which is a huge bonus to us. We love getting pictures of what the dogs are up to and always feel comfortable leaving our pup for the day (especially as she runs through the gate and doesn’t look back!). Doggy ventures grooming is also fabulous, with a lovely salon for the dogs. We definitely recommend Catherine and Suzi, their care and love for dogs is obvious to see which is so reassuring.
Had my dogs for 5 hours and one came back looking the same as when I left. £45 for the least amount of hair removal. Would not recommend.
Catherine has been looking after our dog Billy since 2021 and has been fantastic. He gets a good walk and comes home happy and tired from playing with his pals! She sends us regular photos of him playing with the other dogs and updates us on how he has been that day. They have a good amount of space to play in in her home and plenty of toys and snacks. She is flexible with drop off and pick up times and has a great bond with our dog.
Catherine has been looking after my dog for nearly 2 years and I have to say he loves visiting her. He will guide me all the way to Catherine's house and can't wait for her to open the door in the morning. He is a very picky dog so this is definitely a vote of confidence for Catherine. He comes home content and tired which tells me he has been well looked after and stimulated all day. Catherine pays attention to individual dogs needs if asked and when my dog had a problem with his dew claw she was happy to keep an eye on him. She ensured his dressing did not get dirty and kept a constant eye on him and even tailored his walks so he wasn't in any pain. She is always happy to provide text updates if owners are worried. Excellent service. As for booking, Catherine will always accommodate my needs as my partner does shift work and the days we use her services tend to change on a weekly basis. In 2 years there hasn't been a time she has said no to me. Catherine is our fourth dog sitter and we hope she will continue to look after and nurture our dog. Her professionalism is excellent and being shown insurance certificates, etc, really does put your mind at rest. No other dog sitting service I have used has been so thorough. Catherine is so dedicated to animal care that last year she asked me if I had a preference of animal charity to make a donation to. She was donating a percentage of her income to this charity. I was so pleased to hear this as it shows her dedication to her business and her love for animals. I'm just so happy we found her!
We’ve been coming to Doggy Ventures’ day care/groomers for nearly a year now and the difference Catherine and her walkers have made to our little girl is amazing. Our dog suffers from severe separation anxiety which is why our vet suggested a day care. Catherine has been so kind and patient to our dog that if we mention Catherine’s name to her when we’re at home, the dog gets more excited then if we show her her lead! Catherine’s prices are very reasonable and she has always been very open with constant communication. Catherine and her team really make me feel as though our dog is very safe and highly cared for. We’d also highly recommend the grooming service; we’ve had so many compliments on our dogs cut, even from a crufts judge who we met on a walk! Every morning we arrive, our dog runs straight to Catherine’s front door and when it’s time to go home at the end of the day, our dog is just doesn’t want to leave!! Our dog has been cared for at Catherine’s one or two days a week since she was 3 months old (she just turned one). Catherine clearly has a lovely relationship with her and our dog absolutely loves it there, playing with the other dogs. Sometimes she doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day! Catherine is obviously very experienced with handling dog dynamics and she is helpful and accommodating if we need her at short notice. Highly recommend.
Catherine has looked after my dog for nearly a year. He first went when he was a small puppy and after meeting Catherine I felt completely happy leaving him with such a caring and dog loving person. Catherine has always gone above and beyond making sure my boy is happy, healthy and has huge amounts of fun. He rushes in to see Catherine in the morning and after a long day at work when I go and pick him up he is completely content and would quite like to stay! Catherine has been looking after Rolo since he was a puppy, and I couldn't recommend her service highly enough. My dog absolutely adores her and literally can't wait to get through her door in the morning. She is natural animal lover - very caring and has their safety and welfare concerned at all times. She is incredibly professional compared to many other dog walkers I have come across. She has all of the relevant insurances and indemnities and also seeks permission on whether your dog can have treats, be let off the lead etc.. She also has a settling in period to make sure your dog fits in with the pack and is very honest about how well they integrate. I think this is great as I've heard so many stories of dog's being picked on by older/ bigger dogs, so Catherine makes sure this doesn't happen. Your dog will be safe and very happy in Catherine's care.
My cockapoo Rowan has been groomed by Catherine or Susie at doggy venturers approximately every 7 weeks for the last 11/2 years. He definitely isn't a fan of being groomed at home but loves being with Catherine and Susie and always comes out looking handsome and chilled. They are both really lovely and do a great job of listening to what I would like, giving advice and taking brilliant care of Rowan whilst grooming him. This is such a relief for me as he has struggled in the past. I would highly recommend Doggy Venturers to any dog owners. They are skilled kind people who love dogs

We are first time dog owners and Skye has thrived through attending doggy day care weekly. The care and attention she gets is fantastic and I love the regular updates seeing her having fun with the other dogs. Willsbridge Walkies has been fantastic for us in the bringing up of our pup. At first we thought the doggy day care was for us to have a day off each week. However, we have come to realise that Mabel has thrived and is so well socialised now with other dogs. She is always so excited when we pull up on the drive and is always welcomed in with such love. It is a lovely location and they have a great setup there. The regular photos sent throughout the day are brilliant and we especially like the team photo of all the dogs together that are there each day. I used Friends for Pets South Bristol as I needed a pet sitter for my cat over the Christmas period and for a short break over new year. The gentleman I initially spoke to over the phone was very helpful and the lady who came out to my house was lovely. The service is good value for money and they were very accommodating to the needs of my elderly cat! We are thrilled that we found Friends For Pets. They have become a very important part of our precious dog's life and have provided her with safety, stability and love through some very difficult (and happy) times! Lucy and her team in Bristol are the best ever and we wouldn't use any other daycare or dog walking company. FFPs provide a service that is just like being at home, ensuring Dora gets to have loads of enriching fun with kind people and dogs her own size. As pet parents, it is so important to us to know that the pet carers are animal centred and first aid trained. They don't take loads of dogs at once and Dora has always been able to meet other dogs first and become familiar with them before we make a booking. The pet carers use their own homes and gardens so Dora truly feels at home which is wonderful. Crucially for us, the pet carers at FFPs treat Dora as one of the family, with love and kindness, just as they would their own animals. They have been able to mirror Dora's own, at home routines in their own homes, even allowing Dora to share their bed when she's stayed over. This has made a massive difference to Dora, and us, during stressful times like moving house, where stability has been so important. Dora has made friends for life at FFPs and adores her carers and her doggy pals. In the last year, we have moved home twice and Dora has had some serious health worries. FFPs were there for us throughout, offering flexibility, support and genuine care and compassion. Thank you so much FFPs!!!
Bristol Friends for Pets Dog Boarding have been great for my troubled Staffie/Patterdale Terrier cross Dex. Gill looks after him and although she has seen him at his worst she is still willing to look after and love him to bits whilst he stays with her even though he is a difficult case to look after and deal with!
I use Friends for Pets to look after our cats if we're going away. The service is great and very professional. I was even asked well in advance of Christmas if I'd need any visits around Christmas and New Year just so I could be scheduled in! I appreciated this reminder and the personal service.
