James & Minerva were fantastic sitters and all around great people! I would rate them as one of our best experiences using zeewoi to date (and we have used it a lot!). We had a wonderful experience with them from initial application all the way to departure. They were thoughtful in their initial application, asked good questions in our first meeting, showed up to the area a day early to make sure they got to meet our dog and learn our house before we left. Our dog was was ill with tummy trouble when they arrived, and James and Minerva still made us feel at ease leaving a sick dog behind. They were able to change her feeding routine and finish her medication with no problems, and sent us regular updates (including pictures!) on her recovery. Even without illness, our dog is quite particular. She is senior and wakes up early, uses wee pads, and is demanding around meal time. James & Minerva made sure to understand her routine, and quickly earned her trust. Our dog seemed to love them, and was looking out the window for them for days after they left. They also genuinely seemed to like our dog, which is important to us. We could tell by the great pictures they sent daily. James & Minerva are also just really kind and fun people. We'd love to get to know them more if they move to our area! They made us laugh, baked us a loaf of bread for our return (which was a life saver having come from the US), and left our flat absolutely immaculate. Would highly recommend James & Minerva if you have the opportunity to have them sit for you. We'd welcome them back any time. Thank you both!
Lucinda and Leon are very well-organised, reliable and flexible which I appreciated. They kept me very well-updated with messages and photos as to how Violet, the cat, was doing as she is a rescue- animal and can be anxious and mistrustful. As confident and experienced cat-lovers, they were clearly able to make a bond with her and she was mellow and healthy-looking on my return and obviously enjoyed their company. She is very companiable with those she likes! They had clearly paid attention to my mention of Vi being quite demanding of food and she was still her slim (ish) self when I got back after 3 weeks. Leon and Lucinda were very kind and thoughtful, replacing my broken washing-line and replenishing the cat-litter which had run out which I much appreciated. I also was very grateful for the lovely bottle of red wine they left for me when they left! I would highly recommend them as pet-sitters. Claire
