Sometimes you are fortunate to connect with someone like Carrie, who is so nice and welcoming it reminds you of what good there is in the world. It’s no wonder Lexi is the sweetest dog ever! The sit overall was delightful, the house was clean and comfortable, and the TV is huge, perfect for a movie night. Using the backdoor makes it easy to forget you are in an apartment. It’s close to everything yet in a setback, quiet area. There were helpful little notes around the house and directions on the easy care and feeding of Lexi, who really just wants to play a little tug-of-war with you and her toys, bask outside in the sun, and curl up on the couch, oh, and eat! She loves food! It’s hard to say no to those big eyes, although I think she was a bit disappointed I’m a vegetarian :O) She is great on leash, and there’s a dog walk between the house and the parking area and a trail right around the corner. Carrie communicated before, during, and after and was always available for any questions. It’s obvious how much she and her husband Perry love Lexi and how much Lexi loves her stuffies! I have never seen a dog so attached to her toys—in an absolutely adorable way. There is always one in her mouth, under her chin, or by her side. Lexi is just a big plushy sweetheart with a playful, laid-back personality. She will be an excellent big sister to her new sibling. This is a sit I would very happily do again, and if you get an opportunity to connect with Carrie and hang out with Lexi, go for it! And please, give Lexi a treat from me.
The most beautiful house and gardens, adorable dogs and exotic chickens. I loved every minute of my stay and feel lucky to have been asked to house-sit.
Thank you Emma and family for a wonderful sit in your lovely home in beautiful Sergy - your hospitality was amazing and it was a pleasure to be taken in as part of your family for 5 weeks and have the chance to explore your region so thoroughly. Black and Silver were a delight to sit for and enjoyed my long walks under Monts Jur with him. Silver is such a character too! I would love to sit for you again anytime in the future and would highly recommend this sit to others!
Rochelle and Doug are an amazing couple, they are always willing to help. They let us stay with them a few days before their vacations and we could share a beautiful time together. When they left we looked after Jock, a beautiful Jack Russell, who is the best behaved dog we have taken care of. He is very calm and likes to have somebody around to scratch his belly and play with his toys. He is very easy to walk and pikes some run every now and again. The house is in a very good area and close to some groceries. Having a car is recommended to move around but not mandatory, there is a bus stop right next to the complex that takes you to newark train station (route 66). We would look after jock again without any hesitation and meeting Rochelle and Doug has been so wonderful that we are sure we will see them in the future.
A lovely experience! Katherine is super communicative and great to coordinate with!
This was a wonderful sit with Stanley, Maggie, Muffin and the ducks! Sylvia gave us very explicit instructions for pet care and she took the time to show us everything we needed to do to have a great experience. She was very responsive when we had questions. We were able to explore the area, visit wineries, hike the trails and play pickle ball at a nearby public court. Sylvia and Andy's home is so lovely, set high above the valley with gorgeous views. Their garden was ripe with vegetables and late summer fruit, which they were generous to share. Muffin the Cat loves to cuddle and will make herself right at home on your lap. Stanley is a gem, always eager to play ball and go for long walks. Maggie, a bit older, is determined to keep up with Stanley and she does a good job of it. The pets were delightful and the ducks were fun to watch in the pond but so easy to care for. I would highly recommend this sit for anyone who loves pet care in a bucolic setting that is near to Palo Alto and shops/restaurants.
