We were recommended Joanna as being well-versed with sighthounds, when we had to find a home-from-home stay at short notice for our young lurcher at 9 months. I am so glad we've found her! Bonnie has come back from her stay at Linton Springs happy, calm, and polite, and it's clear Joanna and family have given her the love and exercise she gets with us at home. Thank you all so much, and we'll see you again soon.

Our dog loves it here. Always comes back with the biggest grin on his face and runs up to their front door in a morning when I drop him off. We know he's very loved and cared for at Linton Springs. Joanna also looks after our chickens too when we go away and makes it so easy to relax knowing the pets are in safe hands.

Joanna was excellent with our 8 month Labrador who stayed at Linton Springs for 12 nights. Our puppy had previously stayed elsewhere as a trial but was not settled at all. Joanna was not phased by this and was extremely willing to help me at such short notice, promising she would be able to comfort him, and indeed she did. Our puppy has come on leaps and bounds during his stay and from the face book posts it was evident that he was enjoying his varied walks and seemed very settled. I cannot thank Joanna enough for coming to our rescue and giving our puppy the time and patience for what turned into his own holiday.

Joanna is an absolute treasure. She looked after our 7month old kitten at the weekend. Her warmth, kindness and passion really shines through. We have a very happy kitten and will be asking her to look after her again in the future. Thank you again.

Amazing looks after dogs as if they were their own

Julie looked after our dog when we were away for a week on holiday and she did a great job. Dash was made to feel very welcome, immediately befriended Julie and had lots of fun. Julie updated us regularly and shared some photos so we could see what the dogs were up to. I will definitely use Maddie’s Retreat in the future and would highly recommend for a professional and homely stay for your pup!!

Just came back from a week away on a family holiday having never left my dog with anyone other than friends before. It was lovely to see how well settled and looked after he has been at Maddie’s Retreat. I got plenty of updates throughout his stay with pictures showing all the fun he was having. I would not hesitate on recommending Maddie’s Retreat and will certainly use their services again.

Maddie's Retreat really is a home from home for our dog. He absolutely loves going to stay with Julie and gets really excited when we mention her name. Julie and her family treat the dogs in there care as if they were their own and they want for nothing. I would highly recommend them.

My little Yorkie loves to go to Julie’s and I feel reassured when she goes there that she will be looked after really well and surrounded by other little dogs. Julie has extensive knowledge of animals and is very committed to her job and looking after other peoples pets making sure they feel at home. She’s very patient with my dog and very careful and aware of safety issues. Highly recommended.

After I lost one of my little dogs and didn't want to put my other one into kennels Julie stepped up for me and took my little dog into her home. She did a check first to make sure she fitted in and after a successful visit i felt comfortable leaving my little dog with her. When I came back from my weekend away it was quite apparent she'd settled in well and was comfortable there. I know she was well looked after and would definitely use Julie again in the future and would recommend her, thanks Julie

What amazing doggy boarding. Julie and her team took fantastic care of Dougal whilst we were on holiday. Paddling pools for him in the hot weather and plenty of walks. He was sad to leave after having made so many new doggy friends. The dogs really do just play together and relax together under Julie’s supervision. I was sent regular updates on Dougal which was very reassuring. He was even groomed several times. Fantastic care from someone who clearly adores dogs.

Alfie has just started to go to Maddie’s retreat and he loves it! He has fun with the other dogs and is very well looked after ! I feel so reassured that he is having a great time! I will definitely be using Maddie’s retreat and Julie on a regular basis including boarding !

I am extremely pleased with the service that Nigel and Emma offer. We have a lively young terrier and a nervous senior cat. At the preliminary visit, we were very impressed by N and E's professionalism and understanding of the needs of both pets. We have used their service many times since and have found them to be both flexible and reliable. I am very confident leaving both pets in their care. and caring am confident leaving both in their care.

Nigel and Emma are very reliable and ensure my dog Xena has a great walk. Xena is always very excited to see them which only reaffirms that she has a great bond with them. They are also very trustworthy and lovely people to deal with. They will always try and accommodate for last minute requests too which really helps us out. I would definitely recommend their services to others.

Nigel and Emma have been walking our dogs for many years since they took over Petpals York. They have also looked after our cats when we’ve been away. They have always been professional and utterly trustworthy. They have been flexible to accommodate ‘doggie quirks’ and adjusted their routine for exercise when any of the dogs has been unwell or injured. They are highly recommended.

Nigel and Emma have always been wonderful with our Cat, Remus. We use Petpals to look after our cat when we are away from home. They are great with him, reliable, flexible, great value and trustworthy. They also send us pictures of how Remus is getting on via Whatsapp which we love! Far less stressful for the cat than a cattery, and great value.

Although I’ve not needed to use their services during the pandemic, it has been lovely seeing the happy posts from Petpals as they’ve continued to provide support for some very content looking cats and dogs. Having used Petpals many times in the past for my cats, I will certainly be calling them again as soon as I can travel again. I’m a bit disorganised, but Nigel and Emma have always responded straight away and helped me out with my last minute bookings. Thanks to you both, and stay safe.

Petpals York have been walking our 8 year old Boxer since he was a young lad! They are very compassionate and professional and our family highly recommend them. Our doggie was poorly a couple of years ago and Nigel and Emma were very supportive and adjusted to our needs at that time. We can't thank them enough for loving our dog as much as we do.

We have used Nigel and Emma for the last three years, whenever we have gone away for more than a night or two, to look after our cat. They are professional, attentive, caring, and always keep us updated throughout. We have never had any issues, and will continue to use them as long as we need a cat-sitter. Petpals is fantastic! Our cats got very stressed when we used to take them to a cattery. Now it's "business as usual" for the cats and we can go away knowing they are being very well looked after. It's extremely easy too - all we do is send and email and pay! We can't recommend Petpals enough.

Charlotte is amazing at looking after our little piggies, we've never had to worry about them whilst they've been in her care. We've used Charlotte's services a few times now and can't fault her. We love getting regular updates and pictures of our piggies and will continue to use Pippin Pet Boarding for the foreseeable future.

Our rabbit, Puddles, has stayed with Charlotte three times. She is always very well cared for and we receive regular updates. We are always very happy with Pippin holidays. Charlotte clearly loves animals.

My bunnies Nibbles and Isabelle have stayed at Pippin many times, most recently in the new luxury lodge which is a whole summer house and garden for them to roam freely. But it is the care and love that they receive from Charlotte who apart from being highly experienced in small pet care obviously adores animals which makes it more than just a business. I wouldn’t send my beloved rabbits anywhere else. Prices are more than fair for the level of service and you will get regular lovely photos and updates. Highly recommended in every way.

I would highly recommend Pippin Pet Boarding. Charlotte has been looking after our hamsters for the past few years now and we have always received an excellent service. Charlotte is really friendly and from the first visit we knew our hamster would be in safe hands. Charlotte always sends us photo updates throughout their stay so we can see how they are getting on which is great!

My two little Russian Dwarf hamsters, Pudding and Crumpet, have just spent 10 days with Charlotte at Pippin Pet Boarding and they had an absolutely amazing time ! They were looked after with the utmost care and attention . I received regular updates and some really cute pictures of my two girls which was sooo nice and comforting as I missed them a lot ! Charlotte was very friendly and professional , and was sooo considerate and flexible when arranging drop off and pick up times ! Charlotte looked after my canary "Biscuit" for two weeks and he was very happy and healthy when I returned to collect him. I was given regular updates about him throughout my holiday, including lovely photos of him free-flying around safely. Reasonably priced and reliable! Will definitely use again!!!

Pipping Barding is just first class accommodation for small animals 🥇Charlotte is very dedicated and cares for her charges with 100% dedication my two girlie guineas Wendy & Daphne have been twice for two pretty long stays I have no hesitation at leaving them .The updates while you are away are fabulous we all know small animals can suddenly go downhill it’s something we always discuss but thankfully it’s never happened .Makes going away on holiday so much easier !

I can not recommend Paw Dayz highly enough. Richard, the dog walker is brilliant. He has walked our Labrador for over a year now and Percy is absolutely ecstatic to see him. Richard sends us daily updates and lots of pictures throughout the day. Richard also let us know if Percy wasn't being himself and always cared for him as if he was his own. Richard was brilliant with Nellie. He was able to have her at such short notice and she loved her weekend there. I got regular updates of pictures of videos. Nellie is already booked in for another weekend stay. Highly recommend!

Rich has been incredible this weekend with our little Roxy!!! ❤️ first time having her, she boarded for 2 days and she had the holiday of a lifetime. She can be a handful at times but Rich has clearly made her feel so at ease and part of pack…needless to say she is shattered now! Richard is a wonderful dog Walker. He started walking my dog Poppy when she was about 3 or 4 months old. Poppy adores him. Richard will always go out of his way to help as he did when she was in season. He found the time to walk her round the block on a lead on her own in his busy schedule. Richard is absolutely fantastic, and we count ourselves very lucky to have found him! Cannot recommend him enough. Our rescue dog loves him and all the Paw Dayz 4-legged friends on his group walks. We feel 100% comfortable with our dog under Richard's care, knowing he is completely trustworthy, professional, reliable, flexible and super friendly with all his dogs and clients. We receive video updates and photos whenever he is on a walk, clearly having an amazing time. Over his time with our dog they have formed a great bond, and we would recommend Richard to anyone!

Our dog has been walking with Richard for several years now and it’s honestly the highlight of his week! He is so excited when he gets collected and has the best time running around with his friends. What can I even say, Nero loves Richard, he situates himself by the window longingly waiting for his buddy to come get him for his lunchtime walk. I can tell Richard is amazing with dogs by Nero’s excitement Everytime he sees him. They also offer dog boarding too, which has been invaluable for when I need to travel. My fur baby is in the best hands, he gets to socialise with other dogs, gets a good walk and as an added bonus Richard takes the best pictures of Nero. Thank you paw dayz team ♥️

Richard has been our dog walker for years now, he is great! reliable, professional, he really enjoys his time with the dogs and we really trust him with ours. he sends us walking pictures and i'm slightly worried he may ditch walking for professional dog photography!

Human opinion 1st. Initially visited to inspect, many weeks ago. Geriant v calm and informative and we liked him. The place is spotless, calming with running water features and spa type background music. The pens are sizeable and have both indoor and outdoor areas for cats. All verty well laid out. It just felt right for us and our needs as I am very discerning about where I would leave our cat Bruno. Now the cat (Bruno). Appeared to be very clam when we dropped him. In the past he has been a bit skittish and seemed stressed at a new Cattery. Here, he was calm and seemed more intrigued. Upon collection he was calm, in great health and for us just seemed very well looked after. We would highly recommend Southview having spent a heck of a lot of time researching, visiting and sometimes trying out new Catteries. Our criteria is calmness (no dog kennels or barking dogs), not overcrowded with cats which can make it feel like a Battery farm, warm and genuine owners who appear to like cats, spotlessly clean, sizeable pens, some outdoor option for Bruno, easy pickup and drop off, rural with no traffic noise, something extra (the running water features and spa vibe at southview is calming and clever). Based on our criteria, sourhview has smashed every aspect. A mention to liane too. Always quick to reply to emails and when we enquired about Bruno mid holiday, during a sudden bout of guilt about dropping him at a bed cattery. We received an immediate reassuring and honest response about Bruno’s welfare. Thank you Geriant and Lian.

I had never used a cattery before and was very anxious about leaving my boys whilst we went away, and being a cattery owner myself, I had high expectations!! Right from the first email I felt confident that South View was the right place. It is so clean, well presented, professional and loved the layout with water feature and music. On return from their visit, my boys were in fantastic condition, very very relaxed and settled back in home like they had never been away. Thank you for taking such good care of them, they will be back 😊 🐾 🐾

Spotlessly clean and really friendly! Willow has his own enclosure with a sitting area and a heated enclosed area. He can meow at his neighbours or they can put up a board if he isn't very social (but he is!). He even had a little toy to distract him when he arrived. We were able to see that he settled in OK before we left, but he was fine!

A cat luxury hotel with top quality care!!! This cattery is the only place where I would ever leave my cats. Geraint and Liane go out of their way to take care of my girls and make them feel as if they were at their home. They also send me continuous updates and pictures by email. The level of cleanliness of the entire place is incredible. The cattery is a beautiful, calm place where cats go on their little holiday and are pampered and spoiled beyond any expectations. You can really tell that Geraint and Liane love cats !!! I very highly recommend this cattery.

This is undoubtedly one of the best catteries in the area. The accommodation is spacious and is always spotless and run by people who clearly love looking after everyone's cats.

This is a very good cattery : the best we've used and our cat always seems quite happy there. He is quite old and often needs medication, which they happily attend to during his stay. They are clearly dedicated to ensure the welfare of the cats in their care. They take extra special care of the environment and the cattery is always spotlessly keen. The owners are always flexible and willing to accommodate as best they can. Highly recommended!

South View is a fantastic cattery, very well designed, spotlessly clean with great facilities to ensure that Liane and Geraints guests have a safe, peaceful and relaxing time. Our 2 old boys, one of which is very sensitive, have been having their holidays there for a few years now and always come home happy and relaxed and very well groomed. It really is a 5* spa for cats!

My cat is 17 years old and gets incredibly anxious and stressed in a cattery, often refusing to eat and spending his time hidden away. However that has all changed since I found South View cattery. The care and attention to detail is outstanding; I felt very reassured when I made the booking and dropped him off for his first stay. When I collected him he looked so calm and content that I didn’t hesitate to book him in for future stays.

Southview cattery is a 5 * feline hotel. Liane and Geraint are completely professional and understand how individual each cat is. The cattery is beautifully landscaped and very peaceful. Each pen is spacious, immaculately clean and has the luxury of a heat lamp, embarrassingly my cat usually wanted to stay, she was so well looked after. The calm atmosphere and lack of dogs barking is very special, all the cats and kittens are quite at home and relaxed even though they are away from their own pet humans. I would recommend Southview cattery to anyone looking for a loving, safe place for their cats while they are away.

Having 2 loving but very needy Ragdolls and we searched high and low for the right place to leave them where they would be happy and we would feel confident they would be looked after. South View was a clear and stand out winner. The cat accommodation is second to none, with an Indoor area and an outdoor area giving them plenty to look at. The cattery is always pristine and the cats settle very quickly. In fact one of the girls walks in and rolls on her back, so clearly feels at home. The owners are lovely and make sure they understand the cats needs. This is a massive bonus as one of our girls is very fussy with food and drinking only running water. We have used South View for a couple of years now and wouldn't look for anywhere else. I would thoroughly recommend.

We’ve used Emma’s services (cat sitting) a couple of times now. Emma is professional, kind, caring and understanding. The price range is amazing too. Although our cat isn’t the most sociable cat, Emma took/takes the time to get to know her and understand her needs. Both my partner and I would recommend Emma in a heartbeat. It takes a lot for us to trust someone to come into our home and look after our pet. However, we never ever had any worries with Emma. Emma kept us updated throughout and her caring nature really showed

Emma came highly recommended when i was looking for help with feeding my 2 cats and fish whilst away on business. She's reliable, dependable and organised. I would recommend her to anyone that has a pet sitting need. She has thought of absolutely everything! I trusted her to be in my home and around my animals and she didn't disappoint! Emma has been walking our dog since we got him 3 years ago. She’s reliable, friendly and clearly loves her job. I know that when I’m at work, our dog is getting the exercise and attention that we’d give him ourselves. Brilliant service!
