Arrived as Guests , left as friends… We sat for Julia , Andrew and their two adorable spaniels between 18th October to the 1st of November . The sit was well planned several months ago, and we arrived the afternoon before their holiday departure. This allowed us to walk Oti and Fudge and get ourselves familiarised with their routines etc. Oti is a lively 2 year old working cocker spaniel who is delight to look after and enjoys a good walk , but is also very sociable with other dogs and adults .Fudge is a 13 year old cocker who is a joy to be around . The location is a small village in East Yorkshire , beautiful countryside and the small village of Skearne has a genuine sense of community , nearly everyone has a dog and will always stop for a chat whilst walking in the nearby fields. We felt very much at home here , friendly next door neighbours offered to be on hand if needed or to give advice etc. The area has much to offer , and all shopping can be done at nearby Driffield , about ten mins away by car. The dogs ( and us!) loved the beach at Fraisthorpe , about 15 mins away by car. The dogs both enjoyed a good run there , on one of our visits the beach was relatively empty . Excellent parking (£1) and there is a superb cafe there. The family home is a beautiful listed building , once the village pub , but is now a very comfortable country home . We particularly enjoyed the very well appointed kitchen and enjoyed cooking a good meal after a day out with the dogs! Evenings were spent listening to music , watching TV and reading . The garden is 100% dog secure and has good off road ,secure parking. Our hosts made us feel very welcome indeed and there was excellent support before and during the sit via WhatsApp etc , and though on holiday in Africa they were able to get pics of their two dogs enjoying themselves !!! We can 100 % fully recommend this sit and would love to return to spend some more time with Oti and Fudge in the future. For us this is what Trusted House sitting is all about …. Uh we had the most fantastic time. Kumo and Yuki are gorgeous. They are easy to look after and whilst sparing with their affection very rewarding when they engage. The apartment is compact and spotless. It’s easy to look after and has all you need. The many pools are great. Alyssa is great with us both before and during the sit. Woodlands has a good array of local eateries and is an easy ride on the MTR into the city. We will feel privileged, and we will jump at the chance to return. Thanks Alyssa, Kumo and Yuki
Tracy was great to talk with before the stay, and Birdy was such a sweetheart. I had a chance to talk with Tracy and Caleb when I arrived to the house, and they are such a lovely couple. They had a list of walks and hikes in the area, as well as places to eat nearby. Since they knew I was new to the area, they even recommended me to check out Rockport and Halibut Point State Park. They're so thoughtful! Birdy missed them when they left on their trip, but we went for a walk to Rocky Neck and she seemed to be better after that. She loves curling up next to you and will even let you know to pet her if you have a free hand. I will certainly miss the morning cuddles! Overall a 5/5 stay and I wouldn't hesitate to take care of Birdy in the future.

I had a wonderful sit by Scot. Coockie is a wonderful dog, who really listens and can be some smart when she’s out (on the leach). The house is wonderful and Scot very welcoming; he made the beds, cooked a meal and I really felt a warm welcome. Consider yourself a lucky person if you got a sit with Scot’s and his sweet dog Coockie.
Best sit, EVER! The cats are phenomenal and such a joy! The friendliest cats we’ve ever encountered! We miss them so much already!! The hosts were SO nice! The condo is stunning and looks professionally decorated! The bed was super comfortable and they have a desk if you need to work! Recommend a million times over, definitely pick this sit!

Absolutely the best decision we made getting Jemina to walk our fur baby. Our old dog walker was great, but he was walked on his own and on the lead. We noticed though he just wasn’t a happy boy and wasn’t excited about his walks. He now sits at the door and goes nuts when he sees Jemina, as he knows he is getting out to play with his furry friends. He is happy, safe and now loving his walks. I bought my retriever Milo to fife doggy home care last week for a trial walk. I get quite nervous to leave him anywhere as he is a bit anxious around new settings/ people. From the moment I dropped him off he was confident and comfortable and obsessed with Jemima. When I returned for pick up after the walk he hardly wanted to leave (slightly offended 😂). Jemima is a natural, well informed and calm dog walker. Whilst out dog walking with Jemima I've observed her interaction and friendly nature with all dogs. The walk is all about the dogs as she focuses on each individual dog and their surroundings and can call them to heel, when necessary, to keep them safe. Jemima is confident, patient and fun to be around especially with dogs.

I would highly recommend Paw’s & Pooches Dog walking services Kirkcaldy. My two fur babies Baillie and Koko get really excited when they get to go on their group walk with Cheryl. Koko used to escape and wouldn’t come back when called but Cheryl has her off the lead and comes back when out one her walks with the pack.

Julie took fantastic care of our dog Islay when we went on holiday, she sent us daily updates and pictures of all the activities she did with islay. She even bought her a new Kong ball when islay lost her original. She clearly has a passion for what she does and is extremely professional and capable. Would highly recommend and will be definitely using her services again
Would highly recommend Julia to look after your dog. She looked after our puppy for 4 weeks and will definitely be sending Lexie back to her when we go on our next holiday. She sent us regular photos and updates and kept us informed when Lexie had a mild reaction to some salmon oil. Lexie had an amazing time with her and would love to go back! 10/10.
I would highly recommend Julia to everyone who loves their dogs. Julia was looking after my dog for a couple of days and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I have been receiving regular updates about Lexi and photos from her daily activities. Knowing that Lexi was so well looked after allowed me to enjoy my time away from her. Our beagle x Luna has now stayed with Julia 3 times and I now wouldn't think of placing her anywhere else whilst we go away. Luna has been to kennels once and it was completely the wrong situation for her but now we have found Julia we no longer worry if she's OK. We have just got Luna back after a 5 night stay and she is a very happy doggy. After her stay in kennels last tear she was very different with us and had developed some bad habits. Now when she goes to Julia's she is dragging us to her door and is still the same dog upon return. This time she didn't even notice we had gone, she ran off to play immediately. Julia sends us updates everyday, letting us know she's getting the best care. Luna is treated like one of Julia's own, Luna adores her. You won't find a better place for your fur baby than with Julia.
This is the 3rd time I’ve left my Kobe with Julia. It was my first time leaving Kobe so I was very anxious. From the very start , Julia put me at ease and she took Kobe for a few sleepovers before we left him for his holiday. Julia, is absolutely fantastic, I feel totally content when I leave Kobe with Julia. It’s just home from home. She is so good to him, he gets loads of walks, attention and snuggles. Her own dogs are absolutely adorable 🥰. Julia, keeps me well updated, she sends me loads of pics and videos which I absolutely love , he always looks so happy and getting these just makes my day. I highly recommend Julia, I wouldn’t leave my Kobe with anyone else now. Thank you so so much Julia for being so kind and caring to my baby boy and looking after him so well for us! Julia was looking after our dog for about 2 weeks and we could not be more happy with care that our dog received. We have been updated with photos and activities on a daily basis. Really recommend Julia’s service and definitely will get in touch in the future.

I was attending a wedding and needed a dog sitter (I live in Cheshire) Julia was recommended to me and she did an excellent job looking after my 10 month old pup, who can be a bit timid at times. He had an afternoon of fun and adventures. I loved getting photo updates of what he was doing. I would use Julia again if I needed her.

Never used the kennels myself but seen the owners and dogs in passing. Looks a very well run, clean boarding kennel. Chatting to owners they are always delighted with the service. And always have good control of dogs. If I was to leave my dog any length of time it would definitely be with these guys. Beautiful surroundings, so close to town but feels like you're in the countryside.

First time using these Kennels and really happy with the experience, Holly, shows how much she interacts with the dogs as she could tell me exactly who mine played with while in the paddock field, great exercise area, my dogs were happy and well looked after. definitely will be using them again, thanks Holly
We use Begg Kennels two or three times a year, our dog is happy to go and gets excited in the car on arrival. We can see pictures of him on Facebook everyday, and I know he is well treated because when we collect him, although he is excited to see us, he also goes back to Holly to show appreciation!
Fabulous kennels in country surroundings. My nervy Bichon loved it there, and Holly obviously spends time with the dogs in her care, as my wee fellow snuggled up to her before we left for home. The bedding I supplied was all freshly washed for me and my dog was shampooed too. Not a service I received anywhere else, and that was an unexpected bonus. Highly recommended kennels.
We use Begg kennels whenever we go on holliday. Holly looks after our dogs and posts lots of photos during there stay and exercise. The only downside as they are closed during the winter months and we have to take our dogs elsewhere.
They looked after my dog very well also nothing we asked them to do was to much trouble will use them every time we visit Scotland

Just Picked up my two happy boy's, who clearly enjoyed the wee holiday at Puddledub Kennels. The guys at the Kennels are very friendly and helpful and clearly they all love dogs as my Two Springers Albert and George were happy to be with them all. Kennels are clean and tidy and all dogs are well looked after. This was the 1st time ever leaving our dogs in Kennels and I would definitely use puddledub kennels again. Thank you sooo much to you all 😊

The first time we've used Puddlebub Kennels, very good impression. When we dropped him off and picked him up, there was plenty of staff around to help, all of them very friendly. He'd obviously had a good experience as he was his usual happy cheerful self when we picked him up. Will use again for sure.

Barking Mad is an excellent service! I have used Barking Mad for a number of years for my dogs and I've never been disappointed. Our dogs have been very well looked after and when the van pulls up to collect them there is great excitement from them about going on holiday! Elaine and John are genuinely caring towards the dogs and we leave them feeling confident that they will be well looked after and have a great time! Thoroughly recommend.
I have been a Barking Mad Host and service user for almost 20 years. Elaine and John are the third owners I have worked with and not only are they lovely people, they are by far the most enthusiastic, committed owners of the service. Not only do they ensure dogs have a fabulous holiday in appropriate surroundings, they have developed a very caring community for the Hosts. All your lovely dogs are looked after so well in their holiday homes.
After a bad experience with dog care some years ago, I thought I would never go on holiday again – until I found Barking Mad. My pooch has some quirky habits which require particular care and attention – John and Elaine came to the house to meet him, took note of everything down to the smallest detail and found the perfect host who catered for all his needs. I went to visit my family in New Zealand and had heaps of text messages, photos and video showing my dog out on lovely walks, having lots of fun and looking totally relaxed. I have already booked my next holiday and have every confidence that with Barking Mad, my dog will receive the same care, attention and love that he gets at home. I can’t rate this organisation highly enough, they are simply the best.
I cannot recommend barking mad fife enough. When your going on holiday you want your furry friend to be looked after the same way you look after them at home. You want peace of mind and reassurance, this is exactly what Elaine and John provide. No detail is missed out and they cover absolutely everything with you in a 2 hour initial meeting before they board your dog. Our dog has joint issues which can limit some activities, this issue was 100% taken on board while our dog was in Elaine and Johns care. I think it’s important to know any health issues your dog may have will be looked after correctly. You’ll receive updates with photos when you are away- chances are your furry friend is also having a 5 star luxury holiday of their own! The service is second to none and worth every penny. I cannot rate Elaine and John highly enough.
Since we first used John and Elaine at Barking Mad to look after our Gordon Setter "Floyd" for six weeks in 2017 we would not consider placing him anywhere else. He loves going with them and has the time of his life running with the pack in the hills and swimming in the sea. While he's away we get regular pictures and videos sent so we can see how happy he is. We would have no hesitation recommending them even for long stays. Peter and Maureen.
Our last dog Trey, a ‘silver surfer’ was always looked after so well and loved his holibags with Elaine and John. He was a withdrawn guide dog who had bad arthritic legs who just loved people and we worried how he would be staying with others. We needn’t have worried as he loved every second and was always cared for to our exact needs regarding his food and medication. When we lost him our two new girls who are rescue labradors now go on holiday with them too. As I am now disabled it was a huge worry for me that if I had to do anything at short notice, who would look after my dogs? I am so lucky that Elaine and John have always gone the extra mile for me when I have needed care for the girls at very short notice sometimes so that this now is not an issue. If anyone is considering dog care I would say let your dogs go on holiday with John and Elaine. You can have total peace of mind to enjoy whatever you are doing in the knowledge that your fur babies will be having a blast with the best care possible and being treated as part of a family with all their home comforts.
This is a wonderful service, run and owned by 2 devoted dog lovers. Elaine and John are friendly, caring and very professional people, they ensure that you and your dogs safety, comfort any special needs are their main priority. We were extremely happy with every aspect of the service they provided, which allowed my Wife and I to enjoy our break/holiday away, knowing that our 'Kizzi' was safe and happy! Many thanks to you both and we will be using your service anytime we ever wish to go away, when we are unable to take Kizzi.
Excellent service provided by wonderful and devoted staff. Nothing is too much for them as in our case when our pooch has to go to the vets, as she does once a month, it is no hassle whilst we are on holiday. Her dog sitter is excellent as well and we know that the dog is being well cared for. Keep up the good work and I would recommend them to anyone.

Once again I would like to thank John and Elaine for their exceptional service and dedication they gave us recently with Flora. Also cannot thank them enough for helping us out at such short notice for my father in laws funeral. Lynne,Alan,Emma and not forgetting Nugget are wonderful hosts. Flora came back bouncy, full of life and started eating without me having to remind her. Whenever Flora sees the bag and the car draws up to fetch her she cannot contain her excitement. The lady waa lovely but the kennels can do with an update as piir dogs have6a blankets in concrete flooring but they did take care of my dog well fed n walked her but she was dirty n smelly when I got her home had to bath her but they charge 117 to get my daughter 2 year old dog back and she 2qs smelly dirty only thing can say is thank you for walking qnd feeding my dog
Megan is a true animal lover! She has been looking after our husky pup on multiple occasions, both by taking her out for walks and here in our flat when my partner and I needed to be away. She's been great at handling Eira - the typical boisterous and energetic/pulling husky who cannot be trusted off leash - and has arranged for her to socialize and play with her own pups, which Eira now loves! Being a very apprehensive pup mum, Megan has been great in reassuring us on the first walk, by providing updates and photos. As Megan is also specialized in reptiles and other exotic animals, she has arranged regular visits to look after our gecko pet. Knowing he'll be fed and looked after when we're away for a few days, allows us to enjoy our holidays with some peace of mind. I highly recommend Megan as a pet walker/sitter and we will certainly keep using her services going forward!
Ashleigh has looked after my cats a few times now. The cats are always happier staying at home while I’m away and the photos and videos Ashleigh send every day keep me updated on how they’re doing. I’ll definitely be using Ashleigh again.
I spent a long time looking at cat sitters for my 3 boys and Ashleigh was highly recommended. After having her take care of my boys for a week, it's easy to see why. Ashleigh came and did a meet and greet, asking lots of questions and really getting to know our boys and their routine. Whilst we were away, she sent us photos and videos every day so we could see how they were getting on. The three of them loved her and enjoyed the attention she gave them. Ashleigh did a great job of caring for our cat, feeding him twice a day, dealing with the litter tray and giving him lots of attention. She sent photos and videos every day, showing that he appreciated her and I’m very sure he would love to see her again!

Ashleigh looked after my cat Bramble while I was away for a long weekend, coming in twice a day. It was a fabulous and affordable experience especially when compared to having to put a cat in a cattery. I got photos at each visit as well as updates on how he was doing, which put my mind at ease when away. Ashleigh is really wonderful, efficient and caring service, and so friendly. Loads of updates while I was away, and really helped me to be at a conference and not stressed about the cat.
