Beverley and Alan
On arrival, Alan showed us how the house “works” and how to prepare evening meal for Gracie.
Bev and Alan had prepared a full set of instructions on how to feed and look after her.
They took us out for the evening to a local curry house where we had a FAB curry and a few pints of “Butty Bach” beer.
The following day they left us to look after Gracie.

Gracie was excitable for the first hour or so but was very easy to manage and control. Took her most days around the local lanes both morning and evenings. We also took her out on 3 various longish walks with us which she enjoyed. We were quite happy to leave her off her lead in open country/hill sides. She was happy to run around and disappear in the vegetation but always came back out on calling her.

Back at the house she was quite happy to rest in the front garden greeting passers by and in the evening sat quietly with us.

Another great location for walking and Abergavenny is a surprisingly nice town. No problem doing another sit if asked.

Sarah
Sarah and Phil left very detailed notes on the care of their precious Peaches which were very helpful and much appreciated. Despite being in another country with a 4 hour time difference (normally 5 hours but apparently we don't all move our clocks forward on the same day 😛) they were very responsive in their communication and appreciated the updates and selfies with Peaches.

Although Peaches does like her space, she would come looking for some head scratches and a leg to rub up against from time to time. It does take some effort to get her to engage in some play time but with some patience she's happy to participate.

The house itself is spacious, clean and comfortable. Peaches would often request to lay by the gas fireplace offering a cozy ambiance to the evenings while I watched Taskmaster, my latest British game show addiction.

For those looking to get a little exercise, there are some great trails that are accessible right from the house. Very convenient.

On those nights when my wife could join me, we would treat ourselves to some delicious Mexican food from the nearby food truck - Bonita's Cantina. We even managed to get into the very busy Glen Pub for they're famous fish and chips. So delicious - we can't wait to come back.

Judith and Heiko made my stay in their lovely flat a great experience, and their cats Rio and Tokyo are some of the friendliest and cutest cats I've ever looked after. Would recommend them to any cat lovers out there looking for a place to stay in London.

The hardest part was leaving! What amazing sweet animals, and truly awesome owners! Our family had the best time, and thoroughly enjoyed taking care of the zoo! Scout and I became best friends and it was super tough leaving him! Thanks so much for hosting our family and allowing us to be their temporary family, it was an honor and a pleasure!! See y’all again soon hopefully! ♥️

Ruth
We had a wonderful week at Ruth and Les' house in the New forest, it's a lovely modern bungalow in a great location on the edge of a country park with lots of great walks and places to visit nearby. Turtle was a joy to look after, very friendly and full of purrs, always happy to see us and chat to us, and come and sit for strokes when we were in the lounge. She went out so there was no litter to clean and always ate her food so altogether no issues at all, and Ruth and Les were super friendly. We really enjoyed our sit; between visiting family and historical locations we had a great time despite the weather, and wouldn't hesitate to sit again if invited in the future. Thank you for letting us stay in your home and trusting us with caring for Turtle.??
