Pohan and Max’s apartment was fantastic and their cats are so gorgeous and easy going, it was a pleasure staying there and looking after them. They were very thoughtful house owners and made it very comfortable and easy for our stay. Bell and Jonas (the cats) are lovely natured, affectionate and no problems to care for. The apartment is in a fabulous location with a street car literally as you step out the front door, about a 5 minute ride to downtown. Highly, highly recommended.
This was a last minute, short sit for me (Sandra), as Amy and her family made a long-weekend trip - and it coincided perfectly with my search for a weekend-long writing retreat location while Cooper was out of town. Their home is a beautiful mission-style home in old-LA style. I camped out in the living, looking out at the gorgeous yellow tree in full bloom framed by the magnificent living room window, and wrote with Pilot always nearby. Pilot is an older dog, but always eager to be out for walks, well-mannered and easy-as-pie to be with. It was a lovely, comfortable sit, and I would be happy to be there again anytime!
Luyu and Feebie are absolute angels and were a delight to look after. Feebie is such a funny, confident sweetheart and while Luyu took a little warming up and is shy with new people, it was so lovely to see her become more relaxed with me. They were no trouble at all to look after and their feeding routine is easy - Jules was so kind to give me a demonstration in person before she left, as well as showing me around her lovely, cosy home to make sure I knew where everything was and how it worked. I love Balham too and this was such a wonderful location to stay in - super quiet and peaceful, and a short walk to the high street and station. Jule and I kept in touch while she was away on her adventure and sent me some gorgeous photos of her travels, as I sent her photos of her fur babies so she didn't miss them so much. Jules is such a lovely person and an absolute delight to interact with, so it was a pleasure being able to help her by looking after the girls. I would look after these sweet girls again in a heartbeat :) <3 x
I looked after Ben, Lulu and Orko for five days and had a lovely time. Ben is a very sweet dog with a very loving heart. He was really friendly from the start and very easily settled in to me being there and going for walks. He was great at recall and very easygoing with other people and dogs in the nearby parks. During the day, he just chilled out whilst I worked. Ben did get a bit jealous of the cats which required some experience with dogs to handle. Geo said this was a new thing with the cats coming downstairs. Lulu and Orko were really sweet and friendly too. They both loved being stroked and were clear about when they wanted to eat :) Geo and Ionut were both really friendly, helpful and available. I enjoyed their house which was comfortable and clean.
Helen is a wonderful hostess who ensures that those taking care of her pets or staying at her place have everything they need. She provides clear and easy-to-understand instructions, and her house is amazing. The town is very beautiful, the people are friendly, and the view is incredible. I felt very comfortable and lacked nothing. I highly recommend this hostess and her house. The pets are very affectionate and well-behaved. I would return many times. 🐈
I enjoyed my short sit with Kit and Ziggy. They are affectionate dogs. They do pull on their leashes but Monique had prepared me for that.
