We loved staying in trendy Balham with the delightful Archie and Ruby. Charlotte was lovely and her home is gorgeous and so comfortable. It was a real pleasure to stay there. The cats are such characters and always returned from their adventures in the evenings to hang out on the rug or sit on our laps – bliss! Thanks for everything Charlotte and hopefully see you again in future!
Rhoda and Steve were so welcoming and kind, and their home is very clean and tidy. Barnaby is a little dog with a big love of adventure and the outdoors. He accompanied me on many beautiful walks in and around Portaferry. He is friendly towards people, and enjoyed curling up in my lap after our time outdoors and games with his beloved Kong. Barnaby does not react well to other dogs, so I just kept an eye out for other pups and walked away from them or lifted him up and held him as they passed. I would love to return to this beautiful place and delightful home. Sweet B has a special place in my heart, and though I am now thousands of miles away, I wish I could pop round and take him for a walk every single day!
Darlene and Dirk were amazing hosts, welcoming us warmly with a lay of the land before their departure. They are in a very friendly gated resort community, with many amenities and events to take part in if you choose. We watched Cayenne and Pepper, two Papillon sisters for over a month, they were the sweetest furball companions. Cayenne is older and requires a simple medication routine with meals that was fully stocked for the duration of our time there. Her and Pepper were very sweet cuddly pups who will sleep in the bed with you, and follow you everywhere. They have a lovely unit right on the lake, complete with gorgeous backyard that required minimal upkeep in our time there. There are multiple dog friendly spots in the park to walk/exercise the pups! You also have use of a golf cart to zip around the park as you like. Conveniently on the outskirts of Kelowna area for a laid back time! Would recommend this one in a heartbeat. 💖🐾
It was really wonderful to sit for Sammie's 3 cats. Sammie was very communicative and welcoming. She made you feel at home. The instructions were all clearly laid out and easy to follow.
Tenzing is an absolutely adorable, independent cat. I have a phone full of photos of him. Although having a car would be very useful for this sit, I didn't. It is possible to get here with public transport but its very limited. But without a car, I still had a wonderful week just relaxing in the garden, pottering around the village, buying baguettes, visiting the local market, riverside walks and afternoon tea at the English tearooms - and of course, hanging out with Tenzing who often liked to share the late afternoons with me :) Would happily return to take care of Tenzing again!
