Dawn
We are so glad Dawn invited us to sit Kona to start 2023. I don’t know if it’s in his genes, his human parents, or the beach vibe, but Kona is one of the most chill dogs we’ve gotten to know and love. He’s a late riser in no rush for his morning walk. With it raining much of the week, he was happy just lounging at (under) the dining table with us or “customizing” the guest bed to his taste. He’s a fit, strong dog. We kept the walks short because he was healing from a scratch on his leg. He gets excited whenever we get close to the sand, so I’m sure he’ll be up for more play and exercise.

Dawn and David’s place is modern, bright, comfortable, and designed for indoor-outdoor living. It is just a few blocks up from the beach. When walking Kona, we would always end up stopping at several beach viewpoints to soak up the views and watch the surfers. This is the residential experience of Laguna Beach, not the main beach area that tourists and visitors favor on the weekends. Simply put, it’s the California dream. We met Dawn and Kona the week before to get introduced and they made us feel comfortable right away. They were always happy to receive pictures and updates throughout the week. We would love to return for future sits, and are confident anyone else would have wonderful time.

Marie-cecile
I enjoyed sitting for Marie and her pup Mia! Mia was very active and really helped me explore the neighborhood. Emre has good manors and kept good company while I was working on the computer! She liked sleeping on the bed but didn't take up the whole thing! The neighborhood was nice, many of the neighbors said hi and recognized Mia. The house was very clean, and has all necessities availability. I enjoyed everything about this sit.

David kept things simple, the house was clean, well appointed, confortable and the landscape gives you an outdoorsy feel.
The view us beautiful from the living room and jacuzzi and there are easily accessible paths and trails for walks ir bike rides. The neighborhood safe, and neighbors are friendly.
Both dogs are well behaved. Milky is sweet and cute. Bourbon is beautiful and loving. There is no easy way to cuddle with them inside the house, if that is what you like but you can enjoy them during the walks.
I found it is easier for Bourbon to remain relaxed in his pet cage or even outside if I stay in the main living room or away from the TV room. However if you are moving around or in the kitchen he will remain relaxed either in his cage or outside.
Also, the chickens were easy to take care and of.
