Our housesitting experience with Ember was nothing short of magical. Nestled in a charming, fairytale-like stone cottage near the enchanting Forest of Dean, we found ourselves in a dream setting. The house itself was comfortable and cozy, surrounded by flowers and plants. Chris and Jem were phenomenal hosts, welcoming us warmly and ensuring we felt right at home. Their hospitality was matched by the friendliness of their neighbors, who embraced us with open arms. Friday evenings at the local pub with the folks from Blakeney Hill became a delightful tradition, and chance encounters during forest walks often turned into pleasant conversations. The location was ideal for nature lovers, with hiking trails starting right from the doorstep. Exploring the Forest of Dean felt like stepping into a storybook! And then, there's Ember. This sweet and intelligent dog quickly became the star of our stay. She really does like running after sticks a lot! Even at 9 years old, she's super active. Guido took up running with her, and she adapted to the new routine with enthusiasm. Our time in this picturesque part of the UK was truly special. Living amidst such natural beauty and connecting with a wonderful community left a lasting impression. We look forward to the day we can return!
We had an amazing stay at Louise and Tim's place looking after Oreo. The flat is bright and breezy and in a great location close to lots of cafes, eateries, craft beer breweries and so on. It is also very close to Cooks River where you can go for an amazing walk or a bike ride along it, which we did. Oreo is an amazing cat, really cute, friendly and social. She would often sleep with us and sit with us when we were chilling at home. Louise and Tim are a lovely couple and were a pleasure to meet. Overall 100% recommended!
Debs and Chris were very welcoming especially as I had to arrive a day early due to rail strikes. Lexi enjoyed her walks in the woods and cuddles on the sofa. Maybe reminded me when she was due her meals. The house has wonderful views and is walking distance to the seafront and cafes. A lovely place to house sit !
Tirion’s home is lovely and comfortable with beautiful gardens in a nice part of Sussex . We were made to feel very welcome . We were provided with a thorough Welcome Guide which was very helpful and informative. There was an emergency that arose that made a part of our stay difficult . However the host was VERY supportive which is why we feel it’s only fair to give this sit and Tirion five stars .
I’m so glad Emma snagged me before the holiday rush and that I was able to come and watch Guadalupe! Emma was very clear in her instructions, very helpful when I had any questions, and very laid back on things. Also generous! Guadalupe is just the cutest darn rabbit and I want fifty of her. Just be careful what you put on the couch because she thinks you’re sharing haha. She loves being pet and close to you. The closer you stay to her, the more of an Angel she’ll be. She plays a lot too which was fun and cute to watch. (: The location is perfect for anyone trying to check out Seattle. You’re about a mile away from downtown and can see the city skyline from the balcony. I recommend checking out the MoPop (museum of pop culture, Dick’s Drive In (great fries), SIFF Cinema (across the street from Dick’s and has the best popcorn), and Cinnamon Works at Pike Place Market (has vegan and non vegan yummy baked goods). Parking was difficult for me, I averaged two blocks away but it was five blocks away one night and right outside another. There is a parking lot on the level of the apartment that you can use to load/unload which was very helpful but unfortunately you can’t keep your car there. I’d happily come care for her again though and hope to meet her future siblings!
I had an incredible time hanging out with Willie! He is so sweet and affectionate, he made me feel right at home and never bored! We went for a few walks a day and spent some time playing in the off leash dog park just downstairs. He did great on-leash. The condo was clean, spacious and perfect for my needs. The gym was easy to access and very clean. Thank you for having me at your home Jonathan! He communicated well and answered any of my questions in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this sit and would happily return again!
