Antonia was an amazing pet sitter for my 4 fur babies. The previous sitter had cancelled unexpectedly and Antonia saved the day when she applied shortly after I reposted the listing. The fur babies were in great hands with her and she kept me updated on them every few days while I was gone. She was prompt, organized, and meticulous with her care and updates. The babies were so relaxed with I got home from my 8 day trip that they didn't even realized I was gone and the house was tidy and clean upon my return, which was greatly appreciated. Thanks Antonia for taking such great care of the fur babies, plants, mail, and house while I was gone!!
We LOVED Paisley! First and foremost, she loved our fur babies as much as we do! She took our boy to the dog park every day! She sent us pics every single day and gave us an update. Not only did she care for our babies, she took good extra care of our house and property. Highly recommend (unless we need her first 😜).
We had the most wonderful time dogsitting Rufus!!! Harriet was an outstanding host. (Her home is picture-perfect with the most beautiful old world charm - she is an artistic visionary...) Rufus is an INCREDIBLY wonderful dog and he's become one of our favourite animals. SUCH a character and an immense ball of love. We will miss his cuddles!! We highly recommend this housesit to fellow dog and history lovers... Amazing landscapes packed with historical charm. 5 STARS all the way!!!!!
Rosie may be old, but she’s still got spunk. We loved seeing the inner puppy shining through; whether it was hopping around upon our arrival back to the house, leading us through trails along the lakes, or cuddling on the couch or bed. The neighborhood is in a wonderful location with access to beautiful trails and close to downtown Fairfax. Rules and guidelines were well defined and written out, so we had no questions about our tasks with the house or with Rosie. We will miss Rosie and hope to stay with her again in the future!
We had a wonderful time at Scawby. Ann and Chris were very welcoming. They invited us for a meal out for the first evening which was very kind indeed. Then we had 12 wonderful days with little Bella who kept us entertained all the time. We were booked to care for three cats but Bella the kitten had made sure that the two older resident cats rarely made it into the house through the catflap by jumping on them ! Ann and Chris ' house is spacious and comfortable, next to fields and woods. This is a very rural location and you'll need a car there. But we never got bored, met lots of people on rambles, visited lots of places. We stayed an extra night and had a really convivial evening together. We would happily go back there again.
I found Natalie's home so inviting and comfortable. Cricket was ready to cuddle the minute I arrived, and it only took a day to get the hang of her meds/feeding routine. The cats loved hanging out on the screened-in porch, as did I! The neighborhood is lovely for walking, and many neighbors knew Cricket and said hello. Natalie's communication was excellent, both through the TH app and via text messages. I appreciated the directions on what to do with Cricket (and myself) when the cleaners came over during my stay. As a remote worker, I loved having the workstations available and used one daily.
Hanging out with Dill at Olga and Ramiro's beautiful home was wonderful. Dill is such a sweet cat and loved to sit on my tummy while I hung out on the couch. The instructions provided by Olga were simple and easy to follow. The guest room bed was very comfortable. All in all it was a great sit!
Kathy and Will were the best! They were very welcoming and did everything to make this a great sit with their babies. Two dogs and four cats may sound like a lot, but they were all a joy to be with and not a chore. Towpath and Missy are the sweetest, so chill with the cats and with workers in the backyard. They only barked if someone knocked on the door. On walks, they were both fine with people, and Towpath practically ignores all other dogs no matter what they're doing. Missy can be reactive to other dogs, but diverting her attention with treats and praise works very well. Nosey hangs out with you and the dogs, which is very cute and results in more attention and treats for her--very smart! Oscar and Cooper usually roam the house together and want attention when the mood strikes them. Sparky hides under the bed almost the entire time when Mom and Dad aren't there. Kathy and Will do a great job of describing all that the Reno/Tahoe area has to offer but we were still blown away by the beauty and everything this part of Nevada has to offer. The region has always been on our bucket list, but we weren't expecting to be so wowed. It's hard to rank everything, but the drive to the historic silver mine town of Silver City is one of the best we've been on, and the town is so fun as well. A great vacation awaits you, with loving fur babies as a very nice bonus!
