First and foremost: Our dogs LOVED Julian and Stephanie. When they left at the end of the sit, Chance curled up on their bed and looked forlorn. Our friends’ dogs also adored them, and friends from the dog park liked their calm “Zen aura” with the dogs. They sent us pictures and short video clips of the dogs to keep in touch. They managed Cobalt’s medication schedule and gave the dogs even more exercise than we usually do. They calmly reported when one of the posts holding up the clothesline keeled over one day due to rot at ground level. We particularly appreciated their flexibility in taking on more watering that I had anticipated would be necessary and in staying an extra day when it became clear we wouldn’t be able to get home on the day originally scheduled. The house was clean and tidy when we returned. We would welcome them back.
I still have a smile on my face just thinking about this charismatic furry family! Between the 3 of them, they will steal your heart, make you smile, laugh, and go "awwwwww" :) When I saw the picture on this ad of Albie and Royden in the garden of the house, I just knew I had to meet them! And I'm so glad I did :) Albie (a.k.a. Saint Albie), the father, is a head-turner. That fur, those paws, that face! :) Royden, the cheeky son, will fall in love with you and make you fall in love with him. Whenever you're petting Albie, he'll "try" to come and get in front :D - oh Royden! They are strong, but very obedient, and clearly know when it's time to go to bed, time to wait, etc There is a great big park nearby, and dogs can run freely in most parts of it - they run with such happiness and so full of life that it's a delight to see... Everybody in the park knows them and all are very kind and friendly. Lovely Dougal was my first Ragdoll and just an absolute pleasure to care for - beautiful, sweet, so amazingly peaceful, always purring, just a sweetie! :) He even kneads on solid ground, I had never seen a cat do that! Steve, Helen and Katy, were all a pleasure to meet and such amazing hosts - welcoming, kind, good humoured, I felt home from the first day. Helen went out of her way to make some wonderful meals... Their friend Graham was amazingly kind too, and I really appreciate the opportunities! On the last day Steve took us out to dinner in a wonderful location. Liverpool is a great city to visit, lot's to see and do and beautiful places to enjoy, and the bus to the center goes by often. So I definitely recommend that you apply and hope to go back one day! :)
I stayed at Peter’s with little Lottie for three months over winter and it was amazing! The house is lovely with beautiful views and great walks from the door. Lottie is a joy to be with - she’s fun to walk with, with good recall and is happy to walk for hours if you want to. She also loves a cuddle and fuss and is very relaxed at home. Peter is really kind and helpful and quick to respond to all communication - he’s an excellent host in every way. Overall the whole experience was great, and I’d highly recommend this house/pet sit! Thank you Peter and Jean for this wonderful opportunity!
A lovely home in a really great part of London, with a lovely and very chatty little cat 🫶
I had a great time looking after sweet Lilly as she is super easy-going and well behaved dog. She is very calm and quiet at home, sometimes she pops up from the shadow as her full black coat makes it easy for her to remain unnoticed 🐕🦺😁 It’s a big pleasure to take Lilly for walks and spend time outdoors! Paula’s place is very comfortable and has everything needed. The neighbourhood is calm and it’s easy to quickly reach central Frankfurt.
Such a lovely couple and Frankie became a friend very quickly. Such a warm welcome by all three. We had a lovely time in Suffolk, the home is very relaxing, the area beautiful and Frankie a real character. We both really enjoyed our short sit here would highly recommend if you get the chance.
Wow, this was my first sit with THS, and Barbara & Piper really set the stage /standard for my future sits!!! The whole process was so easy and enjoyable, because Barbara was such a great hostess!! She communicated clearly the entire time, she gave me a tour of the beautiful neighborhood, and was just a joy to chat & hang out with before she left on her journey. Barbara’s apartment is very cozy, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is phenomenal!! It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach, 10-minute walk to the metro, and you can also take an Uber (which is insanely cheap in Portugal). There are 2 grocery stores and several really nice restaurants just around the corner. Piper is a dream dog sit!! She’s absolutely the sweetest soul, and your heart melts every time she looks at you with those soulful eyes. She is also a great snuggler, very popular in her building and neighborhood, and a great companion to wander around Matosinhos & Porto. If you want to go exploring on your own, she’s completely happy to stay at home and catch a power nap. If you’re seeing this listing as an available sit, don’t even contemplate it, just apply!! You’ll be so happy you did!! Thank you Barbara for allowing me to care for your lovely home & Sweet Piper while you were away. ❤️❤️❤️
