Visiting The Old Cottage and spending time with Teddy, Ruby and Baxter were exactly as I imagined it to be: lovely, serene and idyllic really! Martha is so generous, and communication with her before, during and after the sitting was always easy. The Guide that she provided was very detailed, and I completely felt confident in taking care of both the pets and the house during her absence. The pets themselves have amazing personalities. Now, Teddy can be a handful energetic ball of fur. He is also very affectionate and gives the best cuddles. Ruby is a perfect angel, so calm and cute ! She does tend to have a mind of her own on walks, so you need to keep an eye on her to be sure she does not wander off. But both are very good motivated so it’s easy to bribe them. The only thing I’d warn the next sitter is to not leave food out in the open on the table or the counter, because Teddy can get creative in stealing that food ! Lastly, Baxter is a 20yo cat with the health of a 10yo! She’s very easy and will not require a lot of maintenance. The few times that she allows for a cuddle or to be picked up, you will feel very privileged! Stroud is a small town with a few pubs and shops, but the highlight of the place is really the nature. It’s very calm, quiet and super safe. A real Escape to the Country experience for those lucky to be chosen for the next sit here! 🥰
Jill and David are the kindest people we have ever met through this app! They are so welcoming and incredible to talk to! Their home is gorgeous and you truly do feel like you’re in a treehouse. But, most importantly, the dogs, Cedar & Piper, were incredible!! They are so well behaved, even while crossing the street off leash they will wait for you. Piper is full of energy but loves to chill and snuggle when at home. Cedar is her own person and likes to relax adjacent to the action but she warms up and snuggles you too! There’s a pond close by to walk the dogs that is absolutely gorgeous. Could not recommend this sit more, we hope to be back one day!
I had a great time looking after Coco. Sabrina and Aude gave me a full handover before leaving and I felt very comfortable and safe in the flat. Coco was a joy to look after, he’s a beautiful cat, very independent and a character - he had me chuckling on a regular basis. I hope I will see him again in future!
Simba was such a character. So sweet and so funny. I really enjoyed him!! Elizabeth was really nice and easy going, and he house was cozy. I loved the area of town she was in. I would be down to sit for her anytime!
We loved living in Sisters for a week. Especially with the 2 ft of snow we got! Zinny and Dinkey have a lot of energy and love to be close to you for pets. They are fun to take to the trail near by, let them off leash and throw the ball to Zinny. The house was cozy and had everything you needed for coffee and cooking. Sisters is Great little town with restaurants, gyms and a very kind community. And Mt hoodoo was only 30 min away for snowboarding!!! Jessica and Mike were very communicative and welcoming :)
