I had the most wonderful summer stay at Terri & Lauren's spectacular bay side home on Chiloe. For over a month I was overjoyed to wake up in this special place, surrounded by sublime ocean views, lush vegetation and endless coastline. Though solo and in a remote location, I felt a secure, happy peace within their home and community. Terri and Lauren invited me a couple days before their departure, allowing time to acquaint me with the house, property, and each other. They provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including much appreciated introductions to their friends and neighbors. I had no trouble working remotely for my Denver-based software engineering role. The long austral evenings provided plenty of time for beach walks and exploring. Housekeeping duties were easy enough if you like to keep a tidy home! Terri gave me plenty of notice and time to prep the house for potential buyers. Terri was never more than a text away for help with anything - the house, local Spanish, where to buy fresh fish, where to park in Ancud! I'd been to Chiloe once before a long time ago, and jumped at this opportunity to return. I'm forever grateful for this experience, which I think of often. You won't find a more beautiful spot on Chiloe, so settle in! Terri and Lauren are the most generous, gracious hosts, and an inspiration for lifelong travel and learning.
