Lovely bungalow in a great location with a variety of walks for the dogs - woods, parks, rivers and sea. Rufus was very loving and lively and Monty enjoyed pottering along beside me. Both dogs got on very well with my dog and with any dogs we met on our walks.
Monty is not keen on being petted so requires respect in this aspect of care.
Alice, the cat, appeared for breakfast and tea! The easiest cat to care for!
Dog and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We’d go back any time if we were available.

Jillian and Ian are a wonderful couple who made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived at their house. They are very easy going and cooked us a lovely meal the night before they left.

The gorgeous kitties Wilbur and Lily both have a lot of character and soon warmed to us, spending nights on our laps purring and kneading. Hippy-haired Smithfield Sheepdog, Ted E. Bear, takes his job of "Chief Poultry Wrangler" very seriously and will let you know when it's time to let the chickens and ducks out, when to put them away, and when it's time for his dinner.
The alpacas, cows, and sheep were very easy to care for and as it was lambing season, we were treated to the amusing antics of the lambs jumping and playing. We also collected eggs from the ducks and chickens daily and had regular visitors looking to buy the fresh farm eggs.

The large historic farmhouse has a lot of character and is filled with interesting curiosities (and many books if you're a reader). It feels secluded even though you're only a few minutes drive from the main village. You're also very close to a lovely walk to a waterfall and to many wineries in the area.

Thank you so much Jillian and Ian, we'll miss you and your menagerie!

Great house sit in Haarlem! Rose and Cas were very welcoming from the start and told me everything I needed to know about Shiva and their home. They made my stay in Haarlem very enjoyable. Shiva is a sweetheart with so much personality! Once he warmed up to me he was such a cutie, sleeping on the bed and sitting on my lap while watching TV. He also loves to play with his toys! It was a pleasure to look after him. Rose’s home is beautiful and comfortable, and within walking distance of the city center of Haarlem. I would definitely recommend this house sit to future sitters!

Carol
Carol and Paul were outstanding hosts. The communication was excellent and we were all well connected before the sit started. They invited us to stay the night before they left and the night they arrived back to ensure smooth transition. They drove an hour round trip to pick us up from the bus stop and then took us out to dinner at a beautiful restaurant so we could all connect and get to know one another. They were warm and welcoming.
Their home was spotless and Lena, Gracie and Jasper were a delight. Their personalities, behaviours and needs were exactly as Carol and Paul had described. We chuckled as Jasper behaved like an old grandad and Lena and Gracie were cool, calm and chilled. We all loved the walks, the games and hanging out. Pure delight.
We also loved Alcaucin and their home. Absolutely stunning home with magnificent views, calmness and tranquillity. We loved the village, the cafes and bars and the locals. It has been a highlight of our trip.
Thank you Carol and Paul for your trust in us and welcoming us into your home and lives, and the laughter. We hope to see you in New Zealand sometime soon.

Mary
This was a very pleasant sit! Chico and Burma are the friendliest pets. They both followed me around the house the minute I entered. They were truly sweethearts! Taking care of them was also very easy as they can go in and out the house as they wish. Chico was very excited to get his daily walk.
Mary’s hillside home was very nice and comfortable with an amazing view of the Bay. She provided a great virtual tour of the house as well as a detailed welcome letter which were very helpful.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable sit and I would not hesitate to return!

Linda
I had a lovely stay and Linda's beautiful apartment! Both cats are so cute and sweet! Squeaky was a bit shy at first but warmed up after a few days. Chloe loved being outside during the day but would come in at intervals for pets and treats! Linda was kind and communicative. It was a great experience!
