Tina
A really lovely week in this gorgeous location! We were warmly welcomed by Tina & Tim, who took time to show us the local reservoir walk before they left, and also recommended places to visit & eat in the local area.
The dogs were just a dream. Lovely quiet Lily, heavily pregnant Winnie (although that didn't stop her from running around the hills like a puppy) and boisterous Freddie - all loved their walks up on the local fells and swimming in the top lake. So much so that I think Winnie's pups will be born with gills.....!!
The area around South Lakeland is fabulous, and even the tourist hotspots of Bowness & Ambleside weren't too crowded - especially first thing. Cartmel is lovely, Grange-over-Sands quiet & gentile & Arnside over the estuary a delight.
Many thanks to Tina, Tim & the hounds for a great sit.

Karen
Max is a chill guy and we totally enjoyed getting to explore Copper Mountain with him. He’s a people dog who was easy to get along with and care for. Karen was a communicative and welcoming host who made sure we were comfortable and had all the info we needed to care for Max and her home. Her place is comfy and had everything we could want, including a remarkable location. Great sit!!!

Angela
O my goodness, I just loved this housesit. Firstly and most importantly, crunchie the cocker spaniel, what a superb dog.
She missed her owners a little at fist and sat in the window, she is a family dog and not anyones for free!
By the second day she’d decided we’d do and her affection was amazing and very lovely. I already miss her !
Her home is amazing in terms of location - just a few bus stops away from the city centre . The area is quite gentrified and as well as being just a short drive to the bustling Leith, a walk away to the sea front and a choice of brand supermarkets within a stones throw.
Gorgeous house, we had everything we needed and clear guide to crunchies needs etc. we had Angela’s number and were kindly assured she would be happily available should we need to get in touch.
Im already jealous of the next person who does this house sit, you’ll be extremely lucky to be invited by crunchie!
Thanks all for a memorable stay x

Tove
I had a wonderful time housesitting Tessa and Sooty in Tove's beautiful house in Balham.
Tessa is such a wonderful little dog, really friendly and easy to take anywhere. She loved our morning mucky walks on Tooting Common, playing ball and having fun together. She's really well behaved on the lead as well and was happy to carry her ball for up to 45 minutes when we stuck to the paths on our afternoon walks. In the evening she was happy to lie beside me on the sofa and rest and she sleeps so well in her crate until woken up in the morning.
Sooty is a very independent cat and not that into people but was happy to come fund me for food and occasional treats. After a week she liked to come and sit on my lap and get stroked when Tessa was asleep.
The house is located right on Tooting common which is great for walks and Balham is a nice area for shops, pubs and cafes and central London is easy to get to on the northern line.
I'd definitely recommend the sit and would be happy to do it again

Jenny
Jenny and Adam are wonderful hosts who welcomed us into their magnificent home and showed us around explaining everything we needed to know. They also gave us a tour of the extensive grounds introducing us to the many animals that live there. They then treated us to a delicious meal and great conversation that night before heading out early in the morning.

We had the fun job of looking after their three bulldogs, lulu, Bella and Sky.
All beautiful girls with three totally different personalities. It was great getting to know and take care of them.
I especially enjoyed watching Bella and Sky playing tug with a deflated basketball, it was at least twice a day, and could last for a long time until I walked away and they would just follow.
We also loved spending time with Peter who took care of all the other animals. It was an absolute pleasure helping and getting to know him and see his love and care for the animals.

The sit was everything you could wish for and much much more.
Their home is beautiful and comfortable with all you could need.
The surrounding grounds had amazing views and breathtaking sunsets. Jenny and Adam are lovely, generous and fun people. Communication with them while they were away was easy and they were always very responsive and helpful.
We hope to see them again in the future.

If anyone gets the chance to do this sit, we can not recommend it highly enough.

Thank you Adam, Jenny and family for everything.
Warmest regards,
Sean and Eva.
