Barbara
Frigiliana was lovely! Everything we needed know was in the description or was told to us by Barbara on our call with her beforehand. Both dogs are adorable and very keen for companionship. There plenty of walks around the village so we just mostly stayed local, although the sheer joy that Poppy expresses while running on the beach is a sight to be seen!

Sarah
This sit was lovely :) Sarah was kind and really easy to communicate with. Rufio is a little gem - a bit shy at first but cuddly soon after and loves belly rubs. He’s very good natured and so sweet to be around.
Lovely flat! The location is fabulousss. Would happily do again :) x

Shelagh
I loved my time sitting for Shelagh in Crieff. The home is a picture perfect Scottish country house, it is warm, comfortable and has everything you may need to feel at home. Shelagh was always only a message away if I needed anything or had questions and is so kind and welcoming.

The boys:
Tatu is a gentle and sweet old man, who was such wonderful company and I just adore him!
Tisa is a handsome big lab and a force of nature. He is a strong boy, who absolutely loved going on walks, hikes and exploring.
Claude is a fast-growing kitten, who is keen to explore and even joined us on a morning walk or two! He also loves a cuddle in the evenings.

Crieff is a beautiful area with a plethora of walks and trails. The town itself has everything you need, and is only a short drive away. There is a strong community spirit in the area and a great recreational centre if you are visiting for a longer period. I also really enjoyed visiting the small villages in the Perthshire region- Aberfeldy and Dunkeld deserve a special mention!

Gill was a fountain of knowledge of the local area and wonderful company. She looked out for me during my stay, recommending places and lending me a puzzle on a rainy day. Thank you!

Thank you for having me, Shelagh and I look forward to coming back soon!

Manon
Kiro was the best behaved dog that I’ve ever met, hands down. He was shy at first, but quickly warmed up to us and showed more energy and personality, which was awesome. And I can’t stress enough, best behaved dog I’ve ever met.

Manon’s communication was awesome for any time I had questions. For future sits, a welcome guide could be helpful to avoid having to ask/answers questions though!

Sharon & Joe
This isn't a 5-thumbs-up house sit. This is a 55-thumbs-up house sit.
We had the joy of meeting Sharon and Joe, two beautiful souls whose love for people, animals, art, and nature, is inspiring. They welcomed us into their home as if we would have been long-time friends. They had many touching details, they were incredibly generous, and they spent time showing us the gorgeous surroundings of Asheville.
Schroeder: he's a sweet, happy, loving, and beloved dog who loves to curl next to you on the sofa and the bed, and play fetch and tug-of-war with his many toys. We threw his ball in the backyard behind the house and we were astonished by his ability to find the ball among piles of leaves every single time. A dog with a mission!
Indie: Sweetest. Cat. Ever. She loves to curl in your lap. After a short protest (just a cute "meow") when you pick her up, she will enjoy being on your legs (or your chest), lick you, and purr like an engine.
Hobbes: he's more on the shy side, but as time goes by you'll see more of him. Around the third day, he said "OK, I'm ready", and he started coming around for head and back scratches (he loves it!). A few days later he was fine with us putting the harness on him and he was happy walking around the garden.
The house is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and filled with art, including Sharon's stunning photography. It has a kitchen that Jamie Oliver would be happy to cook in. The house is literally "in the woods". You're surrounded by tall trees everywhere, with tons of birds feasting off the bird feeder. We even had a direct view of the resident owl.
At the same time, you have supermarkets and everything you can imagine within a short drive including all the nearby art galleries. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 15 minutes away.
It's one of the best experiences we've ever had, in every single aspect: the homeowners, the pets, the house, the location, everything!
If they ask you to house sit for them, say "Yes!", with no hesitation. You'll meet two incredible people, adorable pets, and you'll have an unforgettable house sit.
Thank you, Sharon & Joe!
