We had a blast getting to care for Chris and Ellynn’s home and cat Chessie. They welcomed us with a home cooked meal and helped us settle in and get acquainted with their home. Chessie stole my heart immediately and if I was sitting down she was on my lap purring. She is just the sweetest. The view from the great room of the mountains is like a never ending majestic Bob Ross painting. Pagosa is a magical town and if you get a chance to enjoy the hot springs- highly recommend!
It was a pleasure housesitting. I fell In love with the pups and we had a great time. Their space was beautiful and cozy.
We had a memorable time sitting Benji, Blossom and Snowy. They are just the sweetest pets, it is very hard not to love them. It would be awesome to have them always around. They are really independent and have a lot of space outside for their needs, so taking care of them is really about loving them, being loved by them, playing and getting them fed. Joe and Analia are super friendly hosts and put us at ease from the beginning. We were always in touch while they were away, sharing photos and videos. The house is wonderful and has everything you would need. It is big, modern, super comfortable and has a perfect location for trekking and enjoying the sunset at the beach. We would love to come back to take care of those adorable fur babies again. Thank you Joe and Analia. Five starts! Totally recommended!
This sit deserves so much more than five stars! The house was very comfortable and inviting, well situated for some lovely outings. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. A real home from home. The cats... where do I start? Gentle giant, Frey, sometimes talking to us, allowing us to stroke him, but on his terms. Funny Martin, with the noisiest purr ever, loudly demanding cuddles. Big cats with huge personalities! From the start, communication with Kerstin was great, and we seem to have the same sense of humour. I enjoyed our WhatsApp chats. Best sit ever! We'd be back in a heartbeat.
My week at Villenes Sur Seine was blissfully wonderful and unforgettable. Verna, Rupert and Soren are such a gorgeous family and I am so glad that I got to meet them. However, my absolute favourite part about the whole stay was a gorgeous animal called Napo. Oh Napo! You are an exceptional dog! I cannot believe how close we got and how much I miss him already. I hope that he will remember me if I ever get a chance to visit (I'm very much hoping to do that in the future!). Napo was (is) an amazing companion, playmate and an incredible buddy to walk with. My favourite part was "talking" to him and him "talking" back. So so cute. Thank you Verna and Rupert for opening your home and heart to me! Your house is stunning and I had a very relaxing time there. And yes, I was in heaven as a chef, being able to walk to the Saturday morning weekly local market and create some delicious dishes from the fresh and organic produce. Thank you a million times to your Family and especially to my buddy Napo. You will stay in my heart forever! 🥰🐕🙏
We had a wonderful stay with Bella over Thanksgiving. Betina was kind enough to let our pup Clarence stay also, as we live locally. It was a wonderful few days in a beautiful home with a sweet and loving Bella. She and Clarence got along swimmingly and really enjoyed their adventures through the deep snow. Looking forward to seeing Bella and Betina around town in the future.

I have a cat and had Delta Pet Care look after her for four days. They accommodated me on short notice and were thorough and prompt in all their dealings. Phoenix was great with my cat. Phoenix and Linzie went above and beyond when there was a problem with the door lock and a new deadbolt was installed by my landlord. Linzie and her team have been walking Timber for 6 months now, and they have been amazing. Super flexible with our ever changing schedules and Timber loves his walk days! If you are looking for a dog walker in Twas, I would highly recommend.
Our dog goes on pack walks with Delta Pet Care weekly. He's not easy but Linzie has taken him on and gives us lots of updates and a clear picture of how he is doing each week. I don't have to worry about how he is doing because there is clear communication. They are also really reliable which I have found is hard to come by in the pet care industry. If you are looking for a provider of pack walks or dog care I'd recommend them.

We have been taking our Vizsla Ranger to Good Hound since he was just a puppy. We started with their puppy classes and he now attends day care once a week. We have been so impressed throughout our time with them and couldn’t recommend them more. The trainers (shout out to Rachel) and owners truly make you feel like your pup is part of their family.

Ruby just had her puppy class graduation night and she passed! She learned a lot and it is amazing to see the progress in six weeks time of all the pups attending. Char and her assistant did a great job and know how to handle all the pups. We definitely recommend Good Hound.
I am very impressed with Goodhound. They did an AMAZING JOB with my boy Bentley. I truly recommend their services, the positive methods they use with dogs is great. Tilly, our 2 1/2 year old Pomsky has been going to Goodhound since late spring of 2020. The staff are amazing, they truly care about the dogs and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their team for classes, daycare or boarding. Tilly LOVES her daycare days and I've always found the staff to be professional and really helpful. I'm glad we have GoodHound in Ladner.
We take our dog to Good Hound for training and they have been fantastic. One of our dogs is giant, and we have been bringing him to good hound since he was a puppy, because it he wasn't well trained he would be too much to handle (he outweighs me). Char was instrumental in making sure he was well socialized, and teaching us how to handle him and how to understand what he is doing and why. I feel like it was part training, part dog psychology. We learned so much from her in the first few months of having him, and the knowledge that he gave us is invaluable. The last session we did was with Rachel, and she was also fantastic!
I recently did a puppy class and they were fantastic! Our trainer Rachel was organized and well prepared for each class. She would then sent us a email after as a follow up with everything we went through the class which I thought was very helpful! I’m looking forward to the next class! I would highly recommend it!
Highly recommend their classes and daycare! As a first time dog owner, I found the classes to be super helpful. We completed the puppy kindergarten and basic obedience classes and both Char and Rachel are amazing trainers! We have also sent our puppy to daycare and he loves it.
Training classes at Good Hound are excellent. They go above and beyond, emailing out notes for your 'homework' to ensure that you know what to work on and practice. Mallory taught our puppy class and was incredibly patient, understanding and knowledgable. Working with Andrew firstly for an in-home visit, his ease and comfort with dogs was undeniable. He is knowledgable and passionate about dogs and training. As a first time dog owner of a less than easy-going dog, training has been a must and I'm happy to work with the team at Good Hound.
Had a long weekend trip planned, but was not able to bring along our 4 months old anxious puppy along with us. Wasn't sure how our puppy was going to fare apart from us and in unfamiliar environments, but Chantale and the Pathfinder team did a top-notch job of not only getting our puppy over her fear of other dogs, but also great at reassuring us of her progress with pictures/videos. You can tell that they really love all the dogs they take care of like their own!

Chantelle and her colleagues have so much passions on dogs. My Nugget the German Shepard has arthritis and has problems of his back leg. Chantelle recommended us to let him try wheelchair and she gifted the wheelchair for Nugget, I can not express how much I am so happy for Nugget and so much thanks to Chantelle. Chantale and her staff are amazing! I brought our dog Seymour (4yr old Mastiff/lab) to Pathfinders with a “last chance” mentality because he gets anxious around other dogs and it leads to aggression. We tried anxiety medications and we hired multiple trainers and behaviour specialists but nothing worked. In the meanwhile we started avoiding other dogs altogether but alienating him from other dogs seemed to make him more anxious. When I first brought Seymour to Chantale for an assessment this past August she instantly had him figured out and within minutes she introduced Seymour to another dog without incident. I drove away that day with tears of joy as I just witnessed Seymour meet his first friend and knew that Pathfinders was his only hope. Seymour has had several 3night stays since that day, has made lots of new friends and is off the medication's. He knows when we are heading to the ranch and gets really excited as we get closer and closer. He doesn’t even turn back and look at me when I drop him off. Thank you Pathfinders, we are very lucky to have found you!
My two rambunctious beagle boys were well taken care of at Pathfinders for a 5-night stay recently. Prior to that, they had been to Pathfinders a few times (and loved it) but never overnight, so naturally I was a bit worried. Turns out, there was nothing to worry about. They were in great shape and good spirits, and clearly looked well cared for when I picked them up. Midway through their stay, Chantale also sent me an update on how the boys were adapting and what measures staff took to ensure their comfort — which in turn comforted me. It’s reassuring to hear that their individual needs were being carefully monitored and considered, and that staff doesn’t take a ‘one size fits all’ approach to their guests. The boys were quiet and low-energy for a full 3-4 days after coming home, but otherwise very content and normal. It goes to show how stimulating and fun their stay at the dog ranch was. My boys mean the world to me and I’ll definitely be bringing them back in the future. Many thanks to Chantale and the Pathfinders team!
We left our dog, Luna, at Pathfinder Pet Care and Dog Ranch Inc. while we traveled to Europe for three weeks. Chantale was fantastic with updates, sending us pictures regularly. It was Luna's first time staying at daycare for such an extended period, and when we returned, we found her happy and energetic. Thanks to the wonderful care from Chantale and the entire crew, we were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about Luna. We highly recommend this place for all dog owners!

Awesome daycare & boarding service! We had to go to the States for a couple days but couldn't find any friends to take care of our dog. I found Pathfinder online and asked whether it is possible to board my dog for a couple nights. I was initially concerned because my dog is a rescue, she is very skittish around new people and is not the best doggie when in the dog park. Chantale was quick to respond and offered us a trial half-day camp. Our dog had a blast during the half-day camp and made friends there. Then Chantale suggested us to send our dog for daycare services for a couple times so that the dog will get used to the staffs and the new environment. Our dog loved the daycare camps - she kept on running & running & running for almost 8 hours every time! It was also a relief for us because we do not need to walk her anymore for the day and she will stay quiet & be a good girl for the next day. During the boarding days, our dog also had a great time with Chantale and other paw friends. She allowed Chantale to hug her, touch her body and became a super snuggly doggie : ) It is such a big difference when compared to the first time she met Chantale and her crew. It is such a comfort to know that we have a good place for our dog to go when we had to be away and can't take care of her. Highly recommend!
This is my first time ever traveling abroad with my furry friend Pia. When l got to Canada, I needed to find a day care for Pia due to some unforeseen circumstances. The owner of this establishment answered my call quickly and was able to provide amazing support and empathy towards my situation. Her and the staff were able to provide a place for her to comfortably play and relax with other furry friends! She was extremely understanding, helpful, friendly, and kind. You can tell that she is passionate about her work and loves taking care of all the furry friends that she encounters. This made traveling with Pia less stressful for me. Whenever I travel to BC in the future, I know that this will be the place that I will always seek doggy day care from! After being suggested that we try another dog daycare, we stumbled across the Woofer Walkers in Richmond! After a couple of suggested day-trial runs we dropped our pup off for a week while we went away to Alberta for the week. A couple hours in we get the text that the pup is a flight risk since we packed our bags in front of & all dropped her off as we were leaving the city - bog mistake. Well apparently after a calming bath and some cuddles, she settled in really fast at WW's. Woofer Bella was so good to alleviate our anxieties of this experience by sending us clips of our pup playing, sleeping, enjoying the other dogs' company which put us immediately at ease. There was also the Youtube channel that we watched each day watching our pup and the love that the other woofers gave to the dogs. It was a busy place but we really liked how they split some of the dogs up but also allowed play amongst little & big dogs. Different areas like water area, rest area and the running around area was a hit for the pup. Just enough variation in her day to keep her busy and playing at the same time. Since the successful week, we have gone back for daycare and have referred several others who all seem to enjoy it. Our pup is leaping out of the car and can't wait to get into the WW compound. Totally recommended!
Woofer walker is the best dog day care in Richmond. I had use their services in the past many times and I am a very happy and satisfied fur parent. They are unique in so many ways when it comes to pet care. They do not put dogs in kennel or secluded place but dog are allowed to be wherever they feel comfortable. My Zoey has separation anxiety but Bella and her team are so good at taking care of her. I love it when I can see my baby photos and videos at the end of the day. They are an amazing group of people who love animals. They also rescue so many dogs. Thank you Woofer walker team with my whole heart ❤️.
Absolutely amazing! Bella and the entire team is just incredible with dogs of all sorts. Our dog has a physical disability and they were completely understanding and reassuring of his needs. We were gone for ~3 weeks and during that entire time we were able to keep an eye on him through the videos of all the dogs playing uploaded daily. Their location as well is a giant dog playground! Plenty of room for all the dogs to run around and be with their packs. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone in need of dog sitting / daycare!
Vader had been at WW for half daycare, full daycare and whole weeks of vacation. All the staff are so caring and kind. Hanna, Jasobel, Justin, Calum and rest of staff know all the dogs by name, treat them like their fam and post the best videos to keep you connected with your beloved dogs. I have tried four other doggy day cares in Vancouver and Richmond and would recommend WW leaps and barks beyond others. Their non-kennel and open yard/open house concept is the most humane for our doggy. Thank you!
My dog boarded at Woofer Walkers for three nights and I was so impressed by the level of care and experience provided by Jezebel, Justin and team. My dog was warmly welcomed and accepted, and had the best time playing with the staff and other woofers. The owners went above and beyond to make sure I knew my dog was safe, loved and having fun via text messages, pictures, videos and YouTube uploads throughout his stay. I'm so grateful that I get to enjoy my time away while having the assurance that he is being well taken care of. I highly recommend Woofer Walkers and their wonderful team!
The woofer walkers, dog daycare rescue, and spa is the only place that my great Dane goes. I trust the owners so much they love animals they give you updates at the end of each day. They post pictures of your pet hanging out with other woofers with her dogs, I have been so happy with them. I’ve been with woofer Walkers almost 3 years now I would never go to anybody else. They’re very caring and they totally adore my great Dane and they do go to pick her up for me because I am unable sometimes to take her there right now due to Disability, check them out, you will not be disappointed
We’ve been bringing our 1.5 yr old pup here roughly once a week since July and they’re amazing! I had an orientation hour when we first started where Kairo got to run around and I could ask questions and see how he interacted with the other dogs. Since then, he’s had so much fun! Kairo has also spent a few vacations at the Woofer Walkers and has the bestest time. Scheduling is easy and communication is great. They post videos and upload pictures daily so you can see what your dog got up to during the day. I wholeheartedly trust the Woofer Walkers with my son any day :)
I have been boarding my 3yo GSD with lots of anxiety with Good Hound Country since the start of the year. Boarded 3-4 times and am super happy I found their services. I was very worried since my regular boarder became a new parent and ended their boarding business, but thankfully I have found very reliable boarding services at Good Hounds. Its very easy to use their portal to make bookings online, and I love how they share updates on Insta throught the stay and also very accessible on gmail. Friendly, professional service and very attentive to detailed needs of the dog. I would most highly recommend, especially for German Shepherds (difficut breed to board due to their anxiety). My Rufus is always back home from boarding healthy, happy and smelling fresh 😊
We started taking our now 7-month old puppy to Good Hound in the summer shortly after we adopted him, and we could not be happier! We did a couple of socialization classes and one private training session, and are now putting Gunner in regular daycare. He just came back after a month away and could barely contain himself from the car to the daycare facility. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and so easy to work with. I've owned dogs in Ladner since 2006, and am so glad that we have this gem available to us.
Good Hound Country might be a good place to play, but not so good for a long stay. We had to board our dog for 18 days. Normally, we have our adult kids care for our dog when my wife and I go away. However, since the whole family went on this long trip, we decided to use a boarding service. We let our dog do a one-night test stay at Good Hound Country, and everything seemed to go well. The photos or videos you see on their Instagram make it look like the dogs play all day. However, when we dropped him off for the long stay, I found out that our dog would be caged alone in a small pen for about 21 hours a day and that he would only be let out about 3-4 times a day to pee/play. Most of the time, during a long stay, the boarded dog is caged alone. I questioned this policy, but they said a dog would get too tired if they go out to play more than this. I regretted the choice, but we were leaving the next day and I could not change boarders on short notice. When I picked up our dog after our trip, they said the stay went well and there were no problems. However, when I loaded him into my vehicle, I noticed open sores on both elbows and an open contusion on his left paw. Good Hound apologized for not reporting the injuries during our trip or upon pickup. They said that the floor in their pens are very abrasive and for some reason dogs during a long stay will refuse to sleep on the provided bed or home blanket, preferring to push away the bed and blanket to sleep directly on the bare floor, which causes rubbing and injuries to the dog's elbows. This has happened to other dogs. They could not explain the contusion injury to the paw. I don't know what the conditions are like in the pens because GH would not let me view the pens before or after the stay. I don't know why my dog would not sleep on his own regular blanket. Perhaps the pens are so stuffy that he preferred the cooler bare floor. Alternatively, the pens may be so cold that he preferred to curl up directly on the bare floor which supposedly has radiant heating. I don't know because Good Hound would not let me in to see for myself. Prior to dropping off, GH made promises to brush my dog's teeth and to bathe him upon pickup. When we got him back, he was filthy. They told me that he was too fearful to have his teeth brushed or to be bathed. Instead, they wiped him down with a disinfectant on his last day so he would not smell. Daily teeth brushing and regular bathing are very routine activities for my dog. If my dog could not trust GH to do either after 18 days, that tells me all I need to know about them. If the occasion arises again in the future, I will find a private dog sitter for a more personal service and experience for my dog. REPLY: I only repeated what was told to me by GH on dropoff/pickup or by their email. I would not have brought in the tooth brush/paste (which GH accepted) if GH did not tell me to do so. The next day, GH sent an email saying that brushing was NOT included. Fine. There was nothing I could do. However, GH now claims they tried to brush my dog's teeth anyways (why would they do this when it was not included?), but blames my dog for jeopardizing the safety of their staff. On pickup, GH told me that my dog got along with the staff and other dogs and that there were no problems, other than allegedly not wanting a bath on his last day because of fear. They did not provide any manager's report, and there was no mention of "resource guarding" as alleged below. Now, GH wants to blame the dog, or the owner for being away too long or for not paying more. GH admitted that there have been incidents of elbow sores with other dogs. GH should warn people or change the flooring. GH should have notified us; we had provided GH with a contact person to take our dog to a vet, if necessary. And GH should have reported the injuries on pickup instead of hoping we would not notice. Before you decide to use GH for a long stay, just ask them how many hours your dog will be caged during 24 hours and if there are any known risk of injury.
Good Hound Country has a thoughtful approach to boarding to ensure maximum comfort and mitigation of stress for your pups. I have a reactive dog and they were very receptive to all of her needs. Even if I forgot to tell them about something and followed up, they were welcoming of my input/update and they truly want wants best for your dog. They post regular photos of the pets which helps for peace of mind while you're away. I've done tons of research and there's no where that competes in the Lower Mainland - genuinely a team you can trust leaving your fuzzy family members with and ensure your pet will come home happy. we bring our crazy lady Riley to Good Hound Country every Thursday for daycare. she always gets a good run to expend all her pent up energy and just loves all the interaction she gets from the staff and the other pups. love how Good Hound posts pics on IG so you can occasionally see your pup having fun throughout the day. we have also worked with Andrew in private training sessions and he always provides great insight. we highly recommend Good Hound’s services whether for daycare, overnight boarding or training sessions!
Our pup Nina loves GH Country and all the people that work there! She attends daycare weekly and boards with them when we go away. She is always happy to arrive!! She is a unique character and I'm so grateful to have found a place for her at GH. I never hesitate to recommend them and I am always ok with leaving Nina in their care while we travel. She has a great time!
Our four year old husky attends Good Hound Country daycare three days a week and she absolutely loves it. They care for her like she was her own dog and we have been consistently impressed with the level of care they give all dogs in their daycare. Good Hound staff are highly trained and really care about all dogs in the daycare. They offer an excellent balance of structure and free play and know the importance of allowing dogs down time, as well. All of the Good Hound services are amazing -our other dog attends Downtown and receives the same amazing care. When your dog goes to either location, they and your family become part of the Good Hound family. I can not recommend them enough.
Amazing family-run facility! We've done group classes and one-on-one training as well as boarding our loveable-but-crazy Dobermoose with Goodhound. The dogs are treated like family while boarding at GH Country - with a combination of structure, playtime, personal attention, quiet time, and butt scratches :) tailored to each dog. Highly recommended!
Staff are always friendly and have been dropping off Dixie here for a while. They have a wide variety of services and are for sure extremely knowledgeable. Our dog waits at the door to go every morning!
Best kennel our dog has ever stayed at. He comes out happy, healthy and clean every time. Owners give dogs a lot of care and attention. Would highly recommend.
Brittany is amazing! She treats our dog, Benny with care and love. She has taken Benny for full days at her home, taken Benny for a few hours walks and she even matched Benny with similar behaviour dogs so the pack enjoys the company. I have used Brittney many times, she does a wonderful job handling my 135 lb dog and my 8 lbs cranky Chihuahua. Having a dog rescue she is flexible and available just when I need her most for any of my pups. Love how personable she is and how she handles my pups like her own. When your pups get so excited to see her like mine do it makes your heart so happy! Highly recommended.

My dog Jasmine loves it here, and gets super excited when I pull into the driveway. She clearly adores Brittany and feels safe with the other dogs here. When I pick her up she is happy and relaxed. She’s boarded here a couple of times as well as attending doggy daycare, and I appreciate knowing that she is cared for with kindness.
Brittany has been professional and knowledgeable. She is a prompt and considerate communicator. But most importantly she has been kind and caring to our fur babies especially our Kai who can be shy and anxious. With Brittany’s patient and deliberate, thoughtful choices and support we have already seen him gain confidence and make some doggy friends.
If there was a local professional directory for finding a dog whisperer, this would be the person to contact. She has excellent work ethic and can give the most nurturing and attentive dog care for whomever is lucky enough to find her. Dogs get cared for as if they were her own. Highest quality for very reasonable prices for dog care. There are people who just do it for the money but it is very clear to me that she has a passion in what she does and was given the gift of understanding animals and caring for them.
Brit has been super accommodating and very sweet with our Golden, Marshall. Really appreciate her kind nature with our dog, who always comes home super happy.

Isabel was absolutely the perfect pet and house sitter. Our dog was very well taken care of. Isabel sent us photos of him almost every day for the 2 weeks we were gone. She used a tracker so we could see where she and our dog went walking. AND she left our house in perfect condition. Even though she had a record-amount of unexpected snow to deal with, she was very flexible and pleasant. Very happy to recommend her!

We had Isabel look after our two little pooches in late September/2022 in our home. We were very quickly put at ease by Isabel and our two girls absolutely loved her. Isabelle was one of the best house sitters I have had to date and I have had many. My business takes me out of town for two months at a time and Isabelle was very flexible with my schedule which worked out great. She was professional, kind, no drama, very easy to deal with, and a dream pet sitter. My cats loved her which was evident from the snuggly photos she sent. I will definately hire her again and again. We have loved learning about nosework from Rich and Danielle. They are experts in the field of scent detection therefore extremely knowledgeable. They treat both dogs and handlers with respect and kindness. My dog is super happy , tired and content after a class. She gets so excited the morning of “Nosework” when she sees the backpack containing her treats and harness she literally dances and sings. It is a wonderful opportunity to spend this time with your dog as they are doing what they want ( sniffing) and get rewarded for it ( treats). And you get to see them succeed . The training is well thought out and broken down into segments that are easy to understand and practise. It’s just a wonderful activity.
Rich is an amazing trainer and fantastic with our dog. We have a 11 month German Shepherd and loves the search. I would highly recommend as it is our dogs favourite game to play.
Rich is an awesome trainer. He has a long history in law enforcement and detection work. Didn't matter if the dog was low drive or crazy drive (like my dutch shepherd), he knew exactly what approach would work for each individual dog. Is a super fun activity to do with your dog. And Reese and I are going to continue taking classes and start competing. I highly recommend Doggone Smart Nosework!
Great experience with Rich & Danielle at Doggone Smart. It was very rewarding to see my dogs excitement and learning, and she left every class reluctantly, but very tired! This class was amazing enrichment for my 4 year old labradoodle and as a handler, I learned alot very quickly about reading my dog and the sport of "scentwork" in general. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have fun with their dog or interested in competing in trials.
Richard is a fantastic teacher who has an excellent knowledge base and is very supportive of all his students (humans and dogs alike!). He is patient and is able to understand how to teach both the handler & dog in an effective manner that translates into great results. My very energetic Labrador Retriever loves Richard & can't wait for his weekly Nosework classes. I would highly recommend Doggone Smart Nosework & Richard for anyone interested in looking for a fun and structured environment for learning about and training in nosework.
Rich and Danielle are awesome. My dog Poodle can be unsure with new people but they know dogs well and it's not a barrier to him having a great time!! He's so tired after class! Highly, highly recommend as an activity for you and your dog.
Well.. there is definitely a reason that classes fill up so quickly - they are amazing! Kiah, my recently adopted 3 year old golden retriever and I both thoroughly enjoyed every single class in Level 1 and are looking forward to doing drop ins in the new year while we wait to start Level 2 in the spring 😊. Kiah came to me with some potential joint issues that I needed to be mindful of but also a need to use her smarty pants brain and nosework provided both for us! It definitely helped build our bond together and we have found a sport we both enjoy! Thank you so, so much Rich!
My dog Dash and I took Rich's level one and two courses. Dash and I both learned a great deal about scent work. I would highly recommend taking scent courses at Doggone Smart Nosework with Rich. They are challenging and fun for both dog and handler/owner.
We had a lot of fun at Rich's classes. His approach is different than the majority of other nosework trainers in BC and I believe the dogs advance a little faster off of paired scents. I suspect that the many years of experience on the VPD K9-Unit gives him an advantage when working in real life conditions that most other trainers simply do not have. Rich sees each dog as an individual and is able to augment his methods accordingly. He really wants each and every dog to succeed and his demeanor reflects this. In all, I find Rich to be extremely generous with his time and just so happens to be ego-free.
My dog is quite shy around new people, so we were apprehensive about leaving him with a boarding service. I was especially concerned he might not get along with the other dogs there. However, during his stay, it was amazing to see how well he interacted with the other dogs, went for walks, and even visited the dog park together. I think Benson truly loves dogs, and maybe my dog could sense that. He looked so happy, which made me really happy too. I definitely plan to use this service often in the future, and I highly recommend it to others.
Benson has been my sitter for my dog Ripley for over two years. He's reliable and very flexible. He always takes good care of her when I have to do work abroad. Now that I'm moving, Ripley and I will miss Benson.
Benson did a great job taking care of our dogs Birdie and Ozzy. Lots of play and care for them. They came home to us calm and happy :)

Kona has been with A Walk in the Park for almost 6 months now and always has a great time with Jessica and Jammer. Jessica is always there to answer any questions I have and I feel at ease leaving Kona with them.
I cannot say enough good things about this company and its owner, Jessica. My dog, Hank, has been going on group hikes with Jessica for almost a year now. She has gone above and beyond to make Hank feel comfortable as he felt nervous leaving the house in the beginning. Hank is such a happy (and tired) dog post his hikes now, I know that he just loves his playtime with Jessica and the gang :). I have also boarded my dog with her a couple of times and was regularly updated with pics/videos of my dog having a blast. She truly cares for my dog and I couldn’t be a happier client!
It's very hard to find someone that actually is trustworthy and has been in this business for as long as Julie and her crew. I can't say there are many people that take the time to get to know your pet as well as they do to ensure that they are in the right group with the right dogs, aren't having behaviour issues (and if they are she let's you know right away so you can address it) and really cares if they are having a good time. Genuine and honest as well as skilled and proactive. I wish we could clone a Walk in the Park as their standards are really high and I think we can all agree that our pets deserve the best! Thanks Julie, Colin and the crew for all you do :)
