A KIKI KIND OF CHRISTMAS! Kiki is a sweet-natured, very intelligent young dog. She is so energetic and enthusiastic about everything you want to do with her, from long country walks to cuddling in front of the log-fire and watching movies. We managed 53 miles of walks in 12 days. You know Kiki is happy when she wants a tummy tickle or guffaws whilst wriggling on her back. She is used to playing with small children so is patient too. If the bedroom door is left open by accident she will zoom up and jump on the bed! She is a true companion, habituated to lots of company and not keen on being alone. She always wants to be with you and especially needed a bit of reassurance on the first couple of days of the sit. She settled very well with me. Her family have a very clear routine for her that has some flexibility. Amelda and Robert shared lots of useful tips before the sit and we connected every day during it (reassurance for us both). They have a very beautiful and comfortable home with everything anyone could need. It is in a very scenic part of the country with friendly neighbours and a great village shop with a cafe. It is close to all amenities and local towns of Andover or Newbury. There are lots of local river walks, the Test Way, fishing and wildlife galore. We saw stoat, hare, red kite and more. I was not able to travel the day before the sit so we met very early on the morning of departure which is not ideal but worked very well (probably because they are, like me, organised and sensible people). We knew it would be a short handover, so we covered a lot of questions beforehand. Some freezer space was kindly left for me so I could bring food and avoid busy Christmas supermarkets. Amelda walked me around the village and thoughtfully left lots of local maps and useful information on Christmas events. Robert took me walking with Kiki and showed me her favourite places. They also took time and trouble to organise newspaper delivery for me. Robert showed me what to do if the electricity tripped so when that happened (once) I was prepared. This sit would suit someone who really enjoys a companion dog and likes walking too. The area and local villages are a rural idyll, lots of thatched cottages and country pubs. I felt the sit went very well indeed and loved time with Kiki. It is a super sit for anyone.
Cindy and Robert are an energetic, fun and family oriented couple, who love their dog Boris and cat Oscar. Cindy’s extremely well organized and quick to respond to inquiries. She sought a pet sitter 9 months in advance of their travels and provided details about their travel itinerary, since there were three periods of pet sitting. They were gracious in welcoming us to their home and efficient in showing us how to care for their lovely home and property. Both Boris and Oscar are fabulous pets; friendly and even tempered. Boris is enthusiastic to meet people and loves to have his belly rubbed - he greeted us each morning rolling over to get his rub. He enjoys walks, which he can do for several hours, and chasing after a stick in the yard was a favorite activity. We met a lot of Boris’s dog friends during our local walks and the owners typically greeted him, so we knew all was good. He minds simple orders well, though in the evening he can get distracted outside by things he hears. For this reason, when it was dark we took him on a lead in the yard before bedtime. He doesn’t care to drink from public water bowls but there’s a collapsable bowl for him at the house which we brought for longer trips. He had an incident with his toe during our sit, requiring a trip to the vet, and he was a real trouper in overcoming it. Oscar likes to eat on and off during the day, and has many sleeping spots in the house. He let us know when he wanted something and it may be as simple as petting and stroking him to make him happy, which he expected each morning straight away. He wanted chicken sprinkles on his food always, before he’d eat it. He’s a friendly cat and easy to care for. The six chickens needed twice a day attention for food and watering. Occasionally they were cackling and we went out to see that all was well. They contributed daily to the egg supply, which we enjoyed. Cindy’s welcome guide is very comprehensive, she provided a detailed calendar for their extended vacation and set up reminders on Alexa. Their home is surrounded by fields, close to walking trails, a 10 minute walk to a lovely pub, very comfortable and has a wonderful kitchen in which to cook. This was a wonderful pet sit all around and we miss Boris and Oscar.
What an absolute pleasure it was to sit for Ailleen and her cheeky chappy, Alfie. He really was no bother at all and we loved walking him in the many nearby parks and woods. We were fortunate to have to look after Ailleen's sisters dog for a few days while Lorna moved house. Skye was a great litle dog and the iwo of them played together really well and truly, no bother at all. The house is modern and superbly equipped. It also has the advantage of being located within walking distance of the parks and close to the many shops in Livingston. For somebody like me who hates shopping, it came as a pleasant surprise to walk around the Designer Outlet and get ourselves some new walking jackets. Aileen cooked us a faulous meal and left us some of her superb baking aswell as leaving us a fridge full of goodies. Sorry we forgot to thank you for all of it when we were chatting on our departure. We had a lovely weekend in Mechelen! We had the chance to meet in advance and Hilke gave us all the info we needed. Hilke made us feel welcome and answered quickly our questions during our stay. Louis is a sweet cat, who enjoyed our company (from a distance😊) and we also enjoyed spending time with him! The house has all you need and is nicely decorated with a lovely garden. It’s only 5 minutes by bike to the center, which was very easy. Mechelen has very much to offer, we’ll definitely be back and maybe we can meet Hilke and Louis again🫶
This is definitely one of our favorite sittings! Koda is a beautiful and smart husky; he's super chill at home but he loves going for a walk. We usually took him to the park nearby (where he loves chasing squirrels!), but we sometimes did a long walk as we explore the city, which all of us enjoyed. Zach & Zach were great hosts as well. Their apartment is luxurious with such a gorgeous view of the city; we couldn't help but taking photos of the sunset pretty much every day. The place was extremely well-equipped - we truly enjoyed out stay there. We miss Koda and Zachs' house, and hope to do this sitting again in the future!
Payton and Remy are the most sweetest dogs in the world!!! Staying with them was great and enjoy the house with them even more! Lovely house and host as well!

Susanne was absolutely amazing! She was very friendly and took great care of my cat. I had to increase the boarding dates last minute a few times due to my flight being moved around and she was more than willing to accommodate the extra days. She sent pictures, videos, and updates on my cat every day and was quick to respond to my texts and calls. I highly recommend her and would have her watch my cat again should the need ever arise. The room she set up for the cats has a few cat beds, a cat tower, toys, pillows, and a tv playing nature videos on it. My cat was nervous at first being in a new area away from home, but he quickly settled in and started enjoying the environment. Thanks again, Susanne!

Suzanne was the best sitter for my cat tuna. She provided images and videos everyday and took time to make sure tuna was comfortable and in the best care. When tuna was angry and hissing, she was patient and took time for tuna to become comfortable. In the end tuna loved her so much! Can’t wait to take her back to him when I’m traveling again. It is great we can leave our three cats in a home with a dedicated and passionate caregiver. Susanne provided a great space, excellent care. She kept us informed and sent pictures and videos. She was also flexible for pick up and drop off. Highly recommended!

Best boarding that we have found, our dog Mickey loves to stay there and of course play in Susan's house pool when is hot, she really cares for him, ours is a Golden Retriever and he is very active, we never felt disappointed with Susan care, she really cares for our pets.
My pup has been going there for awhile now. They always give him lots of love and attention and they have a backyard which is great for even more exercise and playtime. He is always safe, happy, and healthy there and they love him like a dear family member.

Horrible , has no security in his backyard your dog can easily escape I left my dog with this guy a day before thanksgiving and after an hour of dropping her off he left the house and my dog managed to get out through his backyard my dog was lost for 28 hours in the cold after being hit by a car luckily she found shelter in a nearby restaurant where I went to pick her up I than rushed her to the hospital for a surgery after getting hit by a car that exceed over 2k This guy did nothing to help hasn’t checked up or anything please do not leave your dog with him if you love your furry friend keep them far away as possible

Isaac is the best dog(🐕) sitter we have used and the following are the pro/cons: Pro: 1) Takes our dogs to the small dag park every day - our dogs love it 2) All three of our dogs love Isaac to death and cry for him and are supper excited every time we drop them off or they see him at the dog park 3) Isaac owns his own dogs and the way he cares for them is impressive. He treats the 🐕 he sitts with the same love and care 4) Our dog love playing with Issac's dogs 5) Isaac took care of a dog from an owner who was dying of cancer - her last wish was for someone that really loves her dogs adopt it and he made that happen 6) Our dogs get lots of exercise and return exhausted 👍🏼 Cons: 1) Isaac spends lots of time at the dog park with the dogs especially when the weather is good
When we were planning to go away for over 2 weeks we turned to Michelle to stay at our house and take care of our anxious rescue dog, Stevie. We were so nervous leaving her but Michelle was truly amazing throughout the whole process. She came to meet with us and Stevie twice before the trip and Stevie took to her almost immediately (which is not something that happens often). Michelle calmed both our nerves as well as Stevie’s. She is on anxiety medications twice a day which Michelle handled without problems and she was in contact with us daily with pupdates and pictures. I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that our fur baby was being taken care of with the same level of attention and affection as she would get from us. Michelle is a true gift to the pets she cares for and the families who hate to leave them.
Michelle took excellent care of my three cats while I was away for 10 days. I felt completely comfortable with her in my house after observing her attention to detail, connection to my animals, and professional vet tech experience. The contract presented covered every detail, including natural disaster and emergency care, which put me at ease. She was in consistent contact with me, sending photos, videos, and updates on my three babies. I had such peace of mind being gone knowing she was engaging in play with them, and food/water was monitored. She was committed to keeping them and my house safe. (bonus points for returning to super clean house!) Thank you Michelle - you truly love your job and it shows.
Michelle took great care of our dog when we were out of town for nearly a week. Our dog can be difficult to walk and has pretty severe separation anxiety, but the whole week went great without any incidents. Michelle kept us updated with photos and videos which definitely helped with our own separation anxiety. Thank you Michelle!
Michelle made sure our cats were well fed and groomed. They were obviously happy and healthy when we returned. Michelle kept us updated with daily texts and photos and I felt comfortable that the cats and my house were in good hands.
Michelle is the best pet sitter we've had. We've come home to happy cats each time we've been away on a trip. When one of our cats passed away, and we had to leave town shortly thereafter, Michelle took special care with our other cat who was lonely after losing his friend. Michelle went the extra mile to not only make sure he was kept company and was adjusting OK, but to make sure that the two cat parents who were distraught over leaving him for the weekend knew that he was in good hands. She's wonderful.
We left our two Maltese’s for Michelle to fully take care of. She let us know daily how they were and sent us pictures of both as they were enjoying their time with her.We felt close to them even though we were away.When we got home they were happy and clean and happy to see us.I highly recommend Michelle as a knowledgeable and capable sitter that you can trust with your loving pets.
I am not normally a negative review writer, but my experience with my 2 special needs dogs and Pet-Tech Sitting by Michelle was awful enough to warrant doing this. It's actually difficult to know how to structure this, as there were so many issues. 1) She couldn't get pills down for our dogs. She's a vet tech. Doses were missed, and she was constantly texting me about it, rather than finding a solution. 2) I paid $3,500 for a week of service (7 nights and 8 days). She was still taking other pet sitting appointments, and was gone for approx 8.5 hours on our second night away. She had made us aware she was going to a concert, but not for that duration of time. Had it not been for our neighbors to feed and give them pills (and clean up after them), it could have been a disaster. 3) She thought that one of our dogs, who had just had surgery, was in pain and asked to take her to the vet. I arranged it, she then threatened to charge me extra to take the dog to the vet. When Mindy was ready to be picked up, her response was 'I can be there in an hour or 2.' 4) On our final day away, we had agreed that she would leave at 6pm. Then, in the middle of the night before we were meant to come home, she texts me saying 'oops I'm leaving at 1pm', thus leaving our dogs home alone for 9 hours. I reiterated our agreement, to which she did not care. Again, if it weren't for our neighbors helping out, we would have been screwed. 5) This is general: she would send VERY aggressive and long text messages, quite often. Her manner of communication was terrible, and I honestly wanted to leave the trip early as I had zero trust in her or her ability. Please, if you are looking for a sitter, don't hire this person, especially if your dogs have special needs, have just had procedures, etc. If I could give her less than one star I would.
Michelle was wonderful. She kept up with us and sent photos & videos of our babies playing. They were SO happy when we got home, which means they had a wonderful time when we were gone! It's nice to know they are in good hands, and with Michelle they are!

This place is beyond awesome! We took our Shiba Inu to the place when we visited Universal Studio. Shan and Dan's dogs are all really sweet and nice, our baby really enjoyed playing with them and he even cried when we picked him up because he had so much fun there and didn't want to leave! Definitely would recommend this place if you ever need to bring your dogs to daycare.
This place is awesome!! My pup was so happy while staying there, she meet new friends. The sitters were very responsive to text mesaages, even sent some pictures so that we can see what my lil one was doing. We will definitely be back when we visit CA again.
On vacation from our Las Vegas home, we have the extreme good fortune to find HOUNDS OF THE HILLS where we boarded our three little dog babies for a week. They were so loved, had much attention, many walks and really had a fun time. This place has no equal....it is simply the best.
Our Dog had a great time. The owner was very friendly. She met all of our expectations and more. The next time I am in California I will be taking my dog here for sure!

I never worry about my cats when Jose is looking after them. Jose has been my pet sitter for the last three years. He kindly sends updates and pictures of what the cats are doing. As a bonus he brings in the trash cans if it’s trash day. Jose really helps reduce the stress of travel. I am happily recommending Jose.
Jose is the most incredible dog sitter I’ve ever used. I don’t have the easiest dogs, and it’s always a challenge to find someone who has such calm energy that gets them to listen and relax. He gives updates with each visit with photos, and most importantly, my dogs adore him!

We have been using them for dog walks and home stays for years. Love them. However we just started taking our husky puppy for daycare. What a goddess send! He gets to play and rest all day when I have to go to work and is sooo happy.
Pooch Buddies has be excellent to communicate with during our many years of arranging cat visits for our out-of-town trips. Janet is very responsive via email for requests and billing. We also got daily text updates about how our cat was doing and a happy picture of our furry friend. I would highly recommend their services for looking after your cat!

We enjoyed Uncle Jeff's Pet Sitting very much. We left our 2 small dogs and have never been happier. Uncle Jeff groomed both dogs and they looked great. We arranged for adult training for our older dog and puppy training for the younger one. Both displayed better manners when at home.We were also happy that both dogs were exercised and walked . We would definitely recommend Uncle Jeff's to everyone.

I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful Anna Marie is with our pup, Lucy. She’s extremely knowledgeable about how to care for dogs, flexible with my timings, and just an overall pleasure to talk to. We recently picked Lucy up from a 16-day stay, and not once over that period was I worried about how she was doing. Anna Marie went above and beyond - she sent frequent photos and videos, brushed her out daily, worked on commands, and even took it into her own hands to figure out what food Lucy needed when she was being a picky eater. I have been searching for a dog sitter and trainer for him as long as I can remember, but I’ve never been satisfied leaving my fur baby until I found Happy Heart Pet Care. I will say I love to spoil my boy and only the best will do, however, this also meant he got away with a lot more behavioral wise then he should. So I needed to find someone knowledgeable that I could trust with my boy… I haven’t been able to find someone reliable that not only had the experience to help train Brodie, but that I felt comfortable trusting to care for him. Anna Marie checks all the boxes. She not only has helped with Brodie’s training, but I trust her to care for him as if he was her own. She is truly our dog nanny! Brodie loves Anna Marie and he has become such a better behaved boy since he was introduced to her training and care. Having a person who not only will train your dog, but love them the way you would is priceless. He respects her and she has a great relationship with my boy teaching him with obedience training and socialization. All the dogs she cares for are very well behaved so he has her pack to learn from as well. She also is a great resource for a number of suggestions and advice with regard to your pets health and well being. She is always the first person I call or text to ask any questions with regard to his health or needs, which is invaluable. She is one of the most kind and understanding people I’ve met in LA and I have no doubt I would ever find someone who cares or loves Brodie more as a trainer or dog nanny than her. Needless to say I highly recommend Happy Heart Pet Care. Your life will be easier with your dog if you use her, trust me!
So grateful to have found Happy Heart Pet Care--they are the best! I have an adopted pound dog who is super skittish (and bark-y) with new people and for the past 4+ years, has not been comfortable with other dogs. She LOVES Anna-Marie and Matthew and, after just three visits, she is already changing in wonderful ways--less skittish with new people and excited to play with other dogs, which I never thought possible. Anna-Marie is incredibly kind and accommodating, thoughtful about introducing new dogs to their environment, and thoughtful of skittish human owners, sending them photos of their happy dogs. I contacted them because of the consistently amazing Yelp reviews (a rare thing), without realizing they're on the west side of LA. My dog and I are way on the east side, but still travel there because knowing my pup is safe and happy with people she loves and who genuinely care is worth everything.
Matthew and Anna Marie are both so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about dogs. Their love for our 9week old Darcy is so heartwarming! I certainly had my concern leaving a young puppy with other people for a week, but Matthew and Anna Marie stayed very communicative. They also helped me on getting to know/adjust for a puppy. I could see Darcy was so well cared for through photos/detailed text updates. Truly appreciate their existence 💙
Anna-Marie took care of my 1 year old shih tzu puppy, Tater Tot, for almost 3 weeks while we were away. She was wonderful as she was very flexible with drop off/pick up times, and gave Tater Tot lots of love but also trained him! Tater is much more calm and well behaved now! He was brushed everyday, made many new dog friends, and enjoyed his walks. Anna-Marie updated us with cute photos and videos of him and we can’t wait to have him back with her again!
Where do I start? So thankful for Matt and Anna Maria. Matt has been a life saver with behavior modification with my sweet girl Cocoa. Cocoa is a hyper-vigilant rescue pit, with a few social challenges. Matt not only was able to with patience and professionalism, earn her trust, and help with her behaviors, he was also able to teach me, ways to manage when she and I are in the wild. He is very hands on, and teaches key fundamentals when handling a dog, and working with the world around them. I literally on multiple occasions have been able to handle situations without panic and stress due to Matt’s training. Cocoa also has been managing her stress better as well. You are equipped with the knowledge literally after just one session, the most rewarding thing is seeing the transformation in Cocoa. She has come such a long way. Happy Heart Pet Care has been a blessing. I highly recommend. 10 out of 10!
I highly recommend this company not just as a dog trainer but for all your pet care needs. They do training, dog sitting, walking, and even cat sitting. They are highly experienced and had my aggressive rescue dog showing improvement after just a few sessions! I’ve also used their services when traveling. They send updates on the pup and make sure he is very well taken care of. Highly recommend them!!
We found Anna Marie on Yelp and trusted the good reviews she had- it was the first time we left our puppy with someone she didn't know and in another city. We loved Anna the first moment we met her, she was super kind, and you could tell she had a lot of knowledge and experience with dogs. We saw our puppy liked her from the very beginning and felt safe with her- we left her one full day and, when we picked her up, she was super happy and looked like Anna took great care of her. I highly recommend her; she is amazing!
Matthew & Anna Marie are fantastic! They started working with my bullmastiff puppy December 1, 2023 and my puppy has grown into such a wonderful, friendly, obedient dog with the kindness & training from Happy Heart Pet Care.
