Dog Sitters in Lake County, IL

Erica took good care of my cats while I was away on a short work trip. She made it easy to communicate, made sure to ask questions, and sent cute pictures during the sit. I appreciate the care she provided.

Marissa was absolutely brilliant. She was great at communicating and sending us photos and updates of Lola. She went above and beyond with her care for Lola and we couldn't have asked for a better sitter. Marissa left the house in pristine condition. She is a trustworthy and lovely person who we would love to welcome back to our home at any time! She made our first experience on this site a perfect one. Any pet that gets to have Marissa as the sitter is a lucky pet.

Tara watched our home and pets for us for a long weekend and she was wonderful. Our pets warmed up to her immediately and she sent us daily updates (as requested). Communication with Tara was seamless and we returned to a clean home and happy pets. We’d love to have her sit for us again in the future.

It was so lovely to have Andrea here to care for my home and cat. She was really consistent about sending me pictures and updates and I could tell Boy was getting all the cuddles and play time he needed. When I got home everything was clean, organized, and she thoughtfully left a note and welcome home treat. So happy to recommend Andrea to anyone and would gladly have her back here as well!!

Susan was great! Our kitties were very chill when we got home, thanks to her! Our eldest cat needs medication twice a day and we appreciate that she had no problem doing that. The house was very clean and our garden was thriving. It was obvious that Susan read through the he welcome guide, based upon her thoughtful follow up questions. She also left suggestions for things to do for future sitters. Would have her back in a heartbeat.

Ralph and Barb were great sitters. They loved Finn, gave him plenty of exercise and attention, and were exceptional home sitters. We'd welcome them back any time. They were clear communicators, attentive, and fast to respond to answer or ask any questions. So we were able to enjoy our time away without any cares or concerns. Gayla did a great job caring for my cat, plants, and home! They were communicative and made sure they had a good understanding of my cat's needs and routine. The entire process was smooth and I returned to a tidy home. I would gladly have them back in the future, and highly recommend for other sits!

Maisheng was a wonderful sitter for our home and our 100lb malamute. She was communicative before the sit as we arranged flights. During the sit she sent plenty of photos and kept us up to date on how everything was going, and she left our home tidy and clean for us upon our return. We would absolutely recommend her and welcome her back ourselves. Thank you Maisheng for a great job - we hope you enjoyed Denver!

From the start I knew I could count on Jaime. She was responsive and easy to coordinate. Immediately Duke warmed up to her and was excited to play! Thanks Jaime! Would have her back anytime.

He lived literally ONE mile away from me. This made it easy to meet in advance of the sit and go over details. During this process, he told me he would have to leave soon. This gave me the impression it was a lower priority for him. Being 1 mile away, however brought up some things I hadn't experienced with sitters from out of town. He wanted to know if it was ok to have friends over to my apt. My cat is very shy and timid around strangers and I told him no. He wanted to cook in my kitchen. It was left very messy. 3 cupboard doors left open, food stains on the stove, counter and fridge. Pots, pans and utensils, he used were not put away. For a person who lives one mile away, these are both things I would have thought could have just as easily been done in his own space. Why did he need to use mine and leave it in this condition? He didn't clean out the cat brush, not sure if this was to prove he had brushed my cat. He left the litter scoop IN the litter box. An amateur move, this would make many cats NOT use the litter box. In the past my cat has stopped using the litter box for similar reasons. She is older and relies on steps to climb onto furniture to sit with me or to sleep with me. Cats, creatures of habit, are upset with changes and one of her steps was moved. She's old, the equivalent of a 90 yr old grandma who depends on these things being there for her in the same place. Without telling me he locked the chain on my front door from inside the apt. So I was unable to enter my apt from the front door. After a long trip home, after getting to my front door I discovered, I had to use the back door. Had he just mentioned that in advance it would have been nice. I left my keys in a lockbox and the lockbox was not returned to inside the apt like I asked. The management company has asked us NOT to leave those out. My internet device was left plugged in, I had asked in person and in writing, it be unplugged when not in use. I had asked that bedding not be removed from my bed, I prefer to do that myself as the bed frame is susceptible to easily being damaged. The bedding was left in a pile on the floor with a damp towel at the bottom of that pile. Personally I was taught, if you use something belonging to someone else, including their personal space, to return it to the same or better condition you found it. In my opinion, this was not done for my space and my things. Petcare felt to me, as if it was less than the top priority and that Andy is not very experienced with pet care. Overall, I was unhappy with Andy's care of my pet and my space.

I knew the minute that the dogs met Anant that they were going to be in safe hands! He is clearly a great animal lover - greeted them with care and enthusiasm and they hardly left his side! Anant is very easy to get on with, kind and courteous and he treated my house with great respect. While I was away he sent regular photos of the dogs on walks and in the house. I would definitely recommend him as a zeewoi to others.

Regular updates, super nice, left the place clean, happy cats !!!
