Sweet Sheba is such a doll! She was slightly cautious at first, but quickly warmed up to me :) She has a real goofy side and would sometimes get a wild hair and want to run around the house with me and play fetch with her toys. Otherwise, she is fairly mellow and enjoyed her walks to the lake and to sleep. Do be prepared to get lots of attention when you take her out for walks to lake- people just gravitate to her which is fun for meeting people! Leeann was very cool- we did not get to meet in person, but she was communicative and clear in her instructions for Sheba and the space. Her space is very cute, clean and comfortable and in a very cool neighborhood- I enjoyed walking to Lake Merritt, nearby coffee shops and restaurants and the Saturday farmer's market which was awesome. I miss Sheba a ton and would love to sit for her again in the future!
We have just spent a week with Mabel, Madge and Maud and, 48 hours after leaving them, we find there are three large holes in our daily lives. There's no denying that these girls are larger than life but don't for a moment think that giant dogs equate to giant management problems because these three are absolute sweeties who never throw their weight around. The most trouble you will have is if one treads on your foot! Katrina and Rob's house is warm and welcoming, as are they themselves. We were repeatedly offered anything we wanted and K & R had stocked basic supplies for our use, which was very thoughtful. Their guest room has a very comfy bed, an ensuite shower room and wardrobe space, which is always good news for sitters. Their Internet connection was fast and stable, for those who might want to work (or just stream entertainment, like us). The house is on flat land with plenty of parking space and no access difficulties. We brought our own car and suspect that this is the only option as we didn't see any buses locally and the location is beautifully, tranquilly rural. Do check with K & R for confirmation though. There is a large area of securely fenced paddock/field for the girls to roam while you giggle at their antics chasing pheasants. The chickens share a part of this land and are also very self sufficient ladies, with an impressive automatic coop door that lets them out earlier than you could get there and shuts them in safe at dusk. Top Tip: Bring a lot of egg recipes!! K & R's Welcome Guide is comprehensive and useful, particularly when needing to refer to the slight differences between each dog's care. Two of the girls have raw food, which we haven't experienced before but it isn't at all difficult or unpleasant as it is in frozen daily servings. In fact, it is considerably better than a lot of regular dog meat. Don't hesitate to apply for this sit with the gentle giants; they are gorgeous and easy going (as are their owners).

A perfect pet sit! Wally is the most amazing little dog. He has so much character and an amazing nature. The apartment is a calm, light, clean and beautiful place to stay. And Sebastian and Lucho are two of the most welcoming hosts you could ask for! I really look forward to seeing all 3 member of this family again :-)
