Thank you Sonja, as you know we think you are amazing. Sonja has been walking Milo for around a year now. Unfortunately despite lots of socialisation as a pup Milo was bitten by one of his brothers whilst playing and after this he became anxious, reactive and frustrated around other dogs. We worked for ages on his behaviour with training techniques and although we were getting somewhere, walks and trips out as a family were still very stressful. Then along came Sonja! Sonja has worked really hard with our gorgeous boy on her walks with him and he is now a completely changed dog. Not only has this changed things for Milo but it has also enriched our life as a family as we are now able to take him out to parks, the woods, etc with us without the fear of stress. We have followed Sonja’s advice and guidance on his separation anxiety too and that also has really really helped. I would reccomend Sonja for any training needs, she has a wealth of knowledge and understanding but more importantly gets to know you and your beloved pets which is super important when trying to alter behaviours that can often be deep seeded. We look forward to continuing to work with Sonja to continue to make the precious years we have with Milo as calm and stress free as possible. X

We have been utilising Sonja and A&S Pet Services for almost 5 years! This was initially to look after our 2 chinchillas when we went on holiday and then we added 2 cats to the mix! Now we rely on Sonja for any and all overnight stays whether that's still for a holiday, a quick visit to friends or a longer work contract elsewhere in the country. Sonja is very reliable, quick to respond to communications, looks after the animals excellently, sends us updates/texts/pics, and is always clean and tidy. In fact whenever we return we're sure our fur babies would prefer to keep having Sonja rather than have us come back!!! We would not hesitate to recommend A&S Pet Services for all your pet support needs!

My two girls who Sonia walks every day, they wait by the window with wagging tails for her to arrive, they get really excited because she is so good with them, I would highly recommend her for your four legged friends and other animals that she tends to.

Sonja has been walking my little Bichon for what must be over 5 years now and I could not recommend her highly enough. My dog is getting older now and doesn't always want her 30 minute walk anymore so Sonja plays games with her in our garden or in the house and ensures she has had some play time (and a cuddle) whether its a walk or by other means. She has been very helpful with us on advise with Molly too for different things - a very trustworthy, kind, knowledgeable lady and I would highly recommend A&S Dog Walking & Pet Services.

Sonja has looked after our Cat many times in the last few years since we moved to the area, and she has given us great peace of mind while we have been away. Our Cat is quiet nervous with new people, but he is happy under Sonja’s care. Highly recommended.

We joined HouseSitMatch for the first time this year. Through this company, we had the opportunity to house sit in Spain for 2 months this summer, taking care of some very fun and loving dogs. HouseSitMatch is a well organized company that has thought of everything in uniting people looking for someone to care for their pets and people who wish to do so. The founder, Lamia, is hands on and is a great resource.This is also one of the few house sitting sites that gives house sitters the opportunity to rate the homeowners, this and the ability to connect with homeowners, we felt that we knew them even before we met them in person. Housesit Match is a wonderful experience to use. The website is really easy to navigate around and find what you need, the quality of house sits is really high and Lamia is always there to answer queries if you have a problem. My family and I had a delightful house sit in Andalusia in Spain for 2 weeks last August, which we are going back to again this year, we look after 2 horses, 2 dogs and a cat and the house has a pool and Donnie and Annie the owners are delightful. It has given us a wonderful break as a family in wonderful surroundings and makes our holiday affordable, without this, we wouldn't be able to go abroad on holiday. We found HoH when we bumped into Chris on a dog walk. His interaction with Freddie was so genuine and he clearly had a fantastic relationship with all the dogs in his care. Chris exudes fun and energy and Freddie adores him! He gets so excited for his weekly walk - racing to the door the moment Chris’s van appears! He also boards with Chris and Charlotte when we go away and knowing he is happy means there is no guilt when we leave him - in fact he doesn’t want to leave when we collect him! Oh, and the photos they take are amazing (some high level bribery must go on to pull off some of them!) Highly recommend!

We couldn’t be more grateful and pleased with Handful of Hounds. We trust Chris implicitly with our very bouncy and active Boxer on her twice weekly walks - her favourite time of the week! Handful of hounds are an amazing dog walker and daycare service. . Our dog Wilson loves Chris and is very excited to go walks. Chris is very kind, thoughtful and offer a fantastic service. Brilliant photos too and a very well equipped van the dogs go on their adventures in. Many thanks for all the great walks so far and Wilson always runs back for his last treat before he comes home! Handful of hounds are, without a doubt, the best dog walker / sitter Berkhamsted has to offer. Chris has a connection with Bonnie that is quite unbelievable - as soon as she met him she recognised that he was in control and she will do anything to please him, she was besotted from day one! Highly recommend Charlotte & Chris - they are a brilliant team. Super efficient, really in tune with the dogs and always go the extra mile to accommodate additional walks, stays etc. Never having used dog walkers previously we were initially apprehensive, but Chris has a real connection with the dogs, and Kobi our cocker spaniel totally adores Chris and has the best time on his walks. Kobi boarded with HoH this summer, making for a guilt free holiday and had such a great time we thought he wouldn’t want to come home. Chris also takes amazing action photos!

Our dogs have been boarding with Chris and Charlotte for a couple of years now and have weekly walks with Chris. They are so kind and caring to our dogs and the whole family, always going the extra mile to help us out and our dogs absolutely love them. Chris is so good with the ongoing training for our rescue dog and the photos… well, they’re just fantastic!!! HoH is 100% the best in the area.

Chris and Charlotte are fantastic. So professional and friendly with both dogs and humans, and knowledgeable about everything to do with dogs! Our dog loves his walks with Chris and we feel happy knowing that he is having a great time with Chris and his doggy pals!

We couldn’t be happier with Handful of Hounds and neither could our big friendly golden retriever, Leo. HoH is highly reliable and organised with Charlotte on the admin side and Chris is very friendly and kind with Leo (and us!), always taking time to make sure Leo is safe, comfortable and having fun! Walks run whatever the weather, are always for a full hour (of actual walking) and C & C often fit us in for last minute walk requests. Would definitely recommend!

Chris and Charlotte are amazing! We feel so comfortable and content when Stevie goes to stay or for walks, which is such a blessing. They provide a real home from home environment alongside their own gorgeous dog, Alan, and give so much love and specific care to suit each dog. We feel like they’ve gotten to know our boy so well. And they provide lots of lovely updates. He always comes home happy and sleepy! The most comfortable we’ve ever felt leaving Stevie away, outside of close family. Highly recommend!

Charlotte & Chris are fantastic and a real find! They care so much about the dogs they look after. Mabel loves going on her walks with them and they have a lovely mix of dogs to keep her company. They go out of their way to help and we’ve got great peace of mind knowing Mabel will be happy boarding with them when we go on holiday.
