Charlotte was the perfect host, and we very much enjoyed her and her partner's company for the short time they were with us. Her home is beautifully quirky, set in a picturesque part of France atop a hill overlooking the valley surrounded by nature. Walter and Victor are two of the most characterful dogs we've ever met; extremely sweet, affectionate, bundles of fun and endless entertainment. I think we enjoyed our little adventure walks, through the forest, across the stream, up the cliff and through the fields just as much as they did! Thank you Charlotte, Walter and Victor for our very enjoyable stay, we hope to comeback someday!
I had a relaxing time at Sarah's - Bella and Romeo were my two wingmen, the cats more independent but very welcoming as well. Sarah's daughter left clear printed instructions and useful tips for my stay. There's a lovely walking spot for the dogs, Romeo will not be able to hide his excitement if he sees you holding the leads!
I spent a wonderful time sitting for Valerie and Jon. They are so nice and friendly and make you feel at home instantly. Janet Jackson and Mathilde, the queens of the house, are absolute cuties! You will fall in love with them in a second! They are playful, cuddly and very easy to take care of. I spend a very pleasant time looking after them and would love doing it again. The place is relaxing, have everything you need and is conveniently located. I highly recommend!
Elizabeth was such a great host! The loveliest and so hospitable. Henry was also amazing, such a goofy, friendly and loving dog. The definition of a gentle giant and I cannot wait to look after him again :) He was very obedient and fantastic to take on walks. Elizabeth is also in a prime location for Hyde Park exploring! Poonam and Steve were such a pleasure to sit for! They were always quick to respond, very friendly, and had everything perfectly organized, making my stay smooth and stress-free. Sherlock, their lovely cat, was a delight to care for. He's quite independent and loves exploring during the day, but he's also very affectionate and enjoys cuddles in the evenings. My time in Crystal Palace was truly wonderful thanks to them!
Fantastic house sit. A simple 1 bed home, but very comfortable, and has everything you need. Lovely housecat, and great train connections into London. Really enjoyed it. Recommend heading to Tooting, which neighbours mitcham, to get a curry! Thanks Adelaide!

My wife and I were feeling hopeless when it came to boarding our mini Goldendoodle. This review is long over-due. Holly has been caring for our 4 animals (2 cats and 2 dogs) for quite a while now, and she has been absolutely stellar! She is very communicative and very compassionate in the care of our animals. Pricing is fair. Two of our animals have medical issues and one of our dogs in particular has some mobility issues. Holly is always attentive and ensures our pup gets to play without pushing herself too far (she would play fetch all day if she could). When Holly cares for your animals, you can tell she really treats them like family. I would recommend her 100%. Thank you Holly for all you do for our family! PS: She takes some pretty great photos!
We always feel comfortable having Holly watch our two cats while we're away! Holly is responsive, lets us know if there are any issues, and sends the cutest daily photo updates. She goes above and beyond to make sure they feel loved (and we're updated) while we are away!
We left our pet rabbit with Holly for a week. I knew right away that she was in good hands. Holly carefully went over all the instructions with us before we said good bye and made sure our little bunny had a comfortable set up. Then, amazingly, we got wonderful photos and updates throughout the week. Everyone was having a good time together. We were so grateful to have found Holly to share their home and attention with our little friend. Holly is really special.

Holly provided care for our two cats for a week. I could tell by the cute pictures she sent each day that the cats were very comfortable with her. She even took care of an ant evasion we had, putting out ant traps we had to keep the pests away from the cat food! She always replied promptly to texts we sent while away. I will definitely use her services again.
Holly has taken care of my kitty a couple times now and has done such a good job. She checks on my girl reliably and sends me photo updates everyday so I feel reassured that everything is ok back home. Holly has been incredible with our 1+ yo dog, Maggie. Maggie is full of energy and love and needs a lot of attention and play. Holly expertly guides Maggie through her days and always sends us lots of great photos to put our minds at ease. She has been very flexible to meet Maggie’s needs and our busy schedule. Betsy and Amelia with Bowser’s Best Buddy are a cut above the rest. I see how much genuine love and care they show my pup, while offering positive and consistent training. My dog Otis attends their day program and has truly blossomed, from an excitable 1 year old adolescent to a well rounded, friendly, obedient member of their pack. Betsy has offered such valuable recommendations on how I could continue the training approach at home to keep advancing his knowledge. I found Betsy as I looked for a day program that wasn’t a larger scale “daycare” space. Betsy did a careful screening to make sure Otis would fit well with the other dogs and slowly folded Otis into the mix. Now that Otis is a “regular,” it gives me peace of mind that any newcomers to the program will be similarly vetted and introduced. A year into attending the day program, Otis is thriving and I am so grateful for the Bowser’s team (Finn, the elder pup, included!)

Upon arriving back in Portland, I needed a dog walker as my remote job gave way to an on-site job. After being ignored by a couple of different providers, Betsy responded promptly, set up a meeting and now my guy, Gary, is the happiest pup on the block. She's priced fairly, provides excellent service (pictures of every walk and attention to Gary's well being), is an A+ communicator and just a generally great care-taker. I couldn't be any happier with Bowser's and Betsy and, as a fanatical fan of my dog, recommend her without hesitation.

We go to LexiDog for Krissy. She is the best groomer and cares so much for our dogs. We have 2 Bernese mountain dogs and a leonberger and they always come out floofy and happy.
Krissy does a fabulous job grooming Wonton and Porter. She cuts their ears to the leather so they don't get wet from the water bowl, and they always smell great! So handsome!
My dog loves coming for daycare and we love the daily report card. Grooming services are reasonably priced and earns our pup lots of compliments at the park.
I have been taking my dog to Lexidog for eight years and highly recommend them. I use daycare, grooming and boarding and have never had anything but good experiences during all this time. My dog loves it there. The attendants and groomers are so loving and skillful in working with the dogs. Your dog will have to pass an assessment to assure compatibility with the current canines. I’m retired now and don’t really need to take Elsa in very often but do anyway several times weekly, because the exercise and socialization are so good for her.

Misty is AMAZING! My daughter has a Pomeranian who has anxiety attacks around people he doesn't know well. She's been able to cut right on through his little walls. :) Thank you for being Amazing, Misty :) By the way - Chaz died a couple months ago. We are still sad about it but he's in a better place and Misty made him feel better toward the end of life and we appreciate her.
LexiDog in Lake Oswego is one of the best doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming facilities we have ever taken our chocolate lab too. When we first moved to the Portland area we needed to find a regular place for daycare, grooming and boarding for our pup. LexiDog has been amazing, caring, and accommodating to our pup every time. All of their staff are truly amazing and love all the dogs.
They took 3 hours to groom our dog and when we came back we saw the daycare guy on video making rounds spraying dogs in the face. The front desk said the spraying was to get the dogs to stop barking but his presence seemed to be causing barking. Everything I know about face spraying is it is cruel. I wouldn’t trust them with my dog again.
This is such an awesome place to take your dogs to! I love the staff and I feel comfortable leaving my puppy there for training/play time. Amanda is a great trainer and I can tell that she really cares about the dogs there. I don’t know everyone else’s name, but the rest of staff is friendly and super knowledgeable! Calcifer LOVES being there and looks forward to his Monday visits.

My fur child is so incredibly happy the second we pull into the parking lot!!! The staff are welcoming, warm and engaging. I was just using this service as a fill in activity for travel but my little buddy can not live without the Scooby crew on a regular schedule. Can not say enough about how fabulous this has been! Great pricing and the A’ la cart services are awsome too!

Nyxie loves her plays and stays at Scooby Shack. She's made some good buddies (dogs and humans!), and she "sings" all the way to the Scooby Shack once she knows we're headed that way. The staff takes such good care of our girl. When she stays there, the staff is happy to give updates and pictures. (We know Nyxie is having a ball so this is really to make her parents feel better.) Thank you Scooby Shack for taking such great care of our girl!
Extremely disappointed with this place. We used to bring our dog here exclusively for grooming and daycare but never again. We brought our dog in to get groomed after several years of grooming here and only when I went to pay was I told that the prices increased, over $100 MORE! We'd always brought our dog in the morning to play with the other dogs and then his grooming appointment would be in the afternoon. We've done this for years and not once have they charged us for day care when bringing him in the morning If we also got him groomed. It was only when I came to pick him up that they told me they increased their prices for grooming and charged me for the morning. I understand raising prices as needed but this was a very dishonest way to go about that. They should have let their customers know before they leave their dogs there that they increased their prices by so much instead of waiting until after the service is over. Not to mention the groomer did not even trim some areas we'd requested like around his booty so now I have to do it myself. We will never be coming back and will be telling our friends and family who also go there about this experience.
I'm so excited, Scooby Shack has a new groomer (Hannah), and she is fantastic. I have a Yorkshire Terrier and a Bernese Mountain Dog and I've been through more than my fair share of not so good grooming experiences. Leah really listened to me and did exactly what I asked her to. My dogs look great, and you can tell she really enjoys grooming dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!
I’ve posted before and after pictures of our mini Aussiepoo. As you can see, he had a full head of cute, curly hair that the groomer at Scooby Shack has managed to shave off haphazardly twice. When we picked him up this time, we were in tears; she’d cut his whiskers off, shaved his entire body and only left his ears and tail alone. She said it was because we didn’t brush him enough, but we brushed him every day. I am so disappointed and upset by this groomer. How can you work with animals and do this to them? Do not take your dog to this woman, she clearly doesn’t care about the work she is doing or how her customers feel.
I have taken my dogs to Scooby Shack since 2011. Trulli loves going to Scooby Shack so she can play with her doggie friends and with Todd. I am very happy with the care Trulli receives and have no reservations taking her for daycare and boarding Trulli at Scooby Shack.
Very impressed with this daycare and boarding facility . Very clean and communication is topnotch. They Have staff with the pups at all times -24 hrs. Experienced staff watching and they understand animal behavior. As I’m Watching pups come and go-The pups are so happy waggin their tails , hopping on their feet -such a sight to see. That tells me they had a good time. What great way to socialize a pup in a pack environment. 🤩 They even have a cat condo. Super Clean and have wall climbing area for them. I got to see a cat scratching on a post didn’t even seem scared. Relaxed and strutting his stuff across the room. 🤩
Our dog loves Scooby Shack. He is excited when we take him here, and when he comes home, it is obvious he has played all day long and enjoyed his day. Staff are super friendly and nice.

I can’t say enough good things about Petlandia!! Wendy and Nate are so patient with my nervous pup, Roo. They are amazing about checking in; both throughout the day while he’s at daycare and weekly just to bring up occasional behavioral/health concerns. They both obviously care so much about each individual pup, and tailor their care for each dog’s needs! The Petlandia set up is so fun, and highly enriching for an adventurous pup. We only use their daycare services, but they also offer boarding/daily walks which I’m sure we will look into for future needs too! Grace and Roo 🩵 Petlandia!
We were so nervous about leaving our puppy, other dog, and two bunnies for a week over the thanksgiving holiday. We had Bailey come house/pet sit for us, and could not have been happier! Not once did we feel uneasy about our babies being well taken care of. Bailey was extremely communicative, sent us updates and pics daily, and made us feel completely at ease about not being there. I have used Wendy’s services for both daycare and overnight care and I cannot say enough great things about her! I have a bit of an anxious pup who doesn’t really like playing with other dogs and has separation anxiety. Wendy has done so much to go out of her way to make my dog feel comfortable and cared for. It's not easy to leave your dog when you know she is anxious but Wendy makes it so much easier with frequent texts and photos and by being so gentle and accommodating!
"Wendy and her team took such great care of our pup, both for walks and for boarding. He was an older gentleman who didn't always want to get going, and Wendy and her team let him set the pace. I highly recommend without any hesitation." That was my review from over a year ago, one dog ago. Now we have Oakley, a much younger and more energetic head strong girl who is so very well cared for by Wendy and Bailey. They have so much patience and insight into dog behavior. They use positive skills to coach our little one even when she doesn't want to be coached. Consummate professionals, they leave the dog and home in excellent condition with clear communication and frequent photos to let us know how our sweet one is doing when we can't be home with her.
Petlandia Pet Care is legit just the best. I’ve been working with them for 8-ish years and they’ve consistently been professional, communicative, and helpful. Additionally, words truly limit me in expressing my appreciation for their flexibility now, and especially during the pandemic, as my work schedule was unpredictable and changed constantly. When I adopted my Abbey girl, she was super beat up and had clearly experienced some trauma. Now my sweet girl is an arthritic senior pup, who continues to enjoy her unconditional love and pets and walks and treats with the folks from Petlandia. Petlandia is awesome! Wendy is awesome! I did daycare at Petlandia with 2 Shetland Sheepdogs and a Shih tzu. One of my shelties was very shy and scared of new things and people. Wendy worked with Tori and formed a bond with her very quickly. My Shih tzu loved the whole area to explore and play with other pups! She always had the best time. Hunter my older sheltie found his comfy spot and napped. My pups had a week stay with Wendy at Petlandia. I trust and love Wendy like no other dog care person!

She always made sure to spend time with Tree along with feeding her and making sure she had enough water. She texted or emailed a picture each day. Betsy's Pet Sitting Service has been our "go to" person for all of our pet sitting needs. We have used Betsy for 20+ years and we have always been extremely satisfied. My wife and I frequently have to leave town on short notice for work. Betsy has ALWAYS come through for us. She is reliable and always respectful of our home. "No" or "I can't" doesn't seem to be in her vocabulary. Help over the holidays?! A foot of snow has the city locked down?! Out of treats?! No problem. Betsy just handles it. She is truly a professional and we wouldn't trust our furry kids with anyone else. I don't really know what other places charge for the same services but I don't care to find out. Betsy definitely doesn't charge as much as she should.

We had the best experience with Carol! She was communicative and very loving towards our slightly anxious dog. We felt completely comfortable leaving our dog in her care and would definitely use her services again!!
Carol is absolutely amazing! Carol watched our cat Pazuzu for two days and she gave us so many pictures, videos, and a summary of how the day went with our baby cat. I felt so reassured and happy having Carol watch our kitty. I feel happy I could go on trips and not have to worry about my baby cat anymore. Carol goes above and beyond and I am so grateful for her! Caroline has been amazing with our dog, Elliott! she always on time and takes great care of him, treating him as if he were their own. Very responsible and responsive to any requests, she truly go above and beyond-including after the dog walk making sure Elliott got extra cuddles and fresh water. We couldn't ask for a better dog walker!
Carol is wonderful with our dog Millie. She always takes her on great walks and sends us lots of pictures and an update which we really love. She’s helped us last minute several times. Highly recommend!
As a travel nurse I have worked with a variety of dog walkers over the past several years and Carolina is by far one of the most compassionate and attentive. She treats my baby Seamus like he is her own, and it is clear from the pictures she sends (and the interactions I have seen firsthand) that he enjoys her as well. She is reliable and great at communicating, has always worked with me around my schedule, and handled any challenges with ease when they have popped up. She is an absolute gem and has been invaluable to both myself and my pup. I 100% recommend!
We feel so lucky to have found Carol! We received lots of photos and videos of our three pups throughout our trip. We have one dog which hates to see us go and usually is frantic when we return. On our arrival all three dogs were happy to see us, but they had obviously had lots of attention and were not overly excited- a good sign to us! Highly recommend!
My dog has been visiting Maggie on and off for many years. Maggie is always quick to respond when I check her availability and provides wonderful care for my dog. The environment is like home, there are cozy places for the dogs to be inside, a safe backyard with shade and sun for play, and lots of attention. It's a home away from home for my dog when I travel.
Best in home environment to take your dog for a home away from home experience. Our dogs love Unleashed and I would never take them anywhere else. I highly recommend Unleashed!
I’ve boarded my pup (Clementine) with Maggie several times now, always for fairly long stretches. I used to be so nervous about leaving her for longer than a few days, but I have absolutely no anxiety about her while she’s in Maggie’s care. When I had a family emergency arise requiring an extension of Clem’s boarding dates, Maggie’s incredible understanding and flexibility alleviated so much stress for me and my family. And even when there hasn’t been an emergency, it’s so nice to be able to leave for vacation and only have to think about your dog when you miss her rather than worrying constantly. Maggie’s home is SO beautiful, as well as very clean and inviting to pets. I would actually kill for her backyard, which has so much space for dogs to run and play. Clem always has the time of her life and I feel good knowing the attention of the person watching her isn’t diverted by a million other dogs; the few she takes on at a time are enough for stimulation without being overwhelming. The near daily photo/video updates are so nice and my family always gets a laugh out of them, too. I love and trust this place so much that I’ve now recommended Maggie/Unleashed to every Portland area dog owner I know. Absolutely worth every penny every single time, I hope I never have to take my dog anywhere else. I honestly cannot day enough good things.
We boarded our dog for 9 days and were very happy with the TLC she got here. Photos and video was posted daily on Facebook so we could see how she was doing. The owner's home is dog-friendly but also immaculately clean. There's a huge fenced backyard for frolicking as well as an indoor play area for rainy days. We wouldn't hesitate to leave our big girl here again.
This is such a lovely idea, hosting a few dogs in your home. Our experience with this business was less than ideal, though. The owner asked us to bring our dog (a 12 year old male miniature schnauzer) over to meet her dogs, because she needs to know our dog will get along with her dogs. So far, so good. Our dog, while far from perfect, loves other dogs. He loves other dogs so much that at TWO of his past doggie daycares, they used him as the test dog to see if other dogs would fit in. He has gone all the way up through advanced obedience classes, has learned circus tricks, and has competed in agility. He even used to work as a therapy dog, visiting long term care homes. He has never been aggressive towards anyone, much less another dog. He is more likely to play himself to death with them. After he met the owner’s dogs (which my husband thought had gone just fine), she let me know she was uncertain if he and her older male lab got along. She wanted our dog to stay for a night at her house while we were still in town to find out if they were compatible. This seemed like a lot of effort, but, okay, I can understand being cautious. We took him to her place (at the cost of $50) and left him there for a night. The next day, my husband picked him up and she did not say a word to him about what had gone on. We assumed that meant we were good to go. We had already made reservations with her for our upcoming vacation, WELL in advance of the time we would be out of town. With less than a week before we were due to leave town, the owner contacted me to let me know that she had another male dog staying with her and she would need us to bring our dog back to her house again to see if our dog got along with this other dog. Seriously? What was she going to do if they did not get along? It seemed glaringly unprofessional to tell someone with less than a week notice that you are not sure if our dog (a much beloved family member) would be acceptable to stay with her when the rest of the family is about to leave on vacation. Talk about stress inducing. The owner’s continued suspicion that our dog will be aggressive towards other dogs was unfounded and, frankly, offensive. We have found other, better options for boarding our little guy. I guess if you have a female dog or a young pup, this might be a good choice for you. The yard she has for dogs to run in is wonderful, and they have lovely little beds to sleep in all around the house. If you have a male dog, especially an older male dog, be forewarned you might want to look elsewhere.
Maggie loves dogs more than anyone I know. She will always take wonderful care of yours.
