Amanda is truly the best of the best!! Our dog gets so excited every time she sees her and loves when she gets to spend time with her and her dogs! She sends daily updates and photos, takes her out on daily walks and gives her the interaction and attention she needs! We know our dog will be fully loved and taken care of by her! We will never use another sitter she really is the absolute best!
We love Tails & Tags and Amanda! She is a meticulous pet/home sitter. Amanda is very reliable and knows dogs and cats and how to care for them in any situation. We receive photos and videos every day and the dogs and cat love her and are always excited to see her. I know my pets will get top quality, personalized care every time. Amanda also will bring in the mail and trash cans--added bonus! Best pet sitter ever and no need to kennel them anywhere else!
If I can give Amanda more then 5 stars I would! She took care of my boys for 10 days at our home as I have an 8 1/2 year old pom who feels better in his environment. Amanda not only went 3-4 times a day and spent time with them, she took care of my doodle that had an allergy. Every time I would check on my boys through our PetCube, I could see them excited to see her come in. From here on out, she will be the one babysitting my babies. She has a lot of knowledge working with animals. Highly recommend her! A+++++
We have been sending Grizz to Amanda with Tails and Tags and have been more than satisfied! We know our dog is loved and well taken care of. Amanda is also very knowledgeable of most breeds and can cater her care ti make your dog's visit a good one. This also puts us at ease.
Amanda is absolutely incredible! She definitely knows what she is doing and does it very well. She took great care of our sweet Koda. She takes them on lots of walks and play time. Plus she sends updates with pictures throughout their stay. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking to board their dog. ♥️ And to top it off she has very reasonable prices.
Amanda is amazing! Our dog Shadow is a pretty anxious fellow and feels most comfortable at home so she does home visits for us when we are gone. She not only plays with Shadow and takes him for walks and gives him his meds as needed, but she also brings our mail and packages in for us and the trash can in from the road as needed. We know we can trust her completely. She will also text us pics and videos to let us see that Shadow is doing good. She definitely goes the extra mile in caring for our dog and us while we are gone.
Amanda is amazing! Our dog George absolutely loves his time spent with her and usually doesn't want to come home after such a fun time. We recommend her to everyone!
We have been using Tails and Tags for a few years now! Amanda is the absolute best! You know your pet is well cared for while your away so you can relax and enjoy your vacation! One thing we like most is how knowledgeable she is with animals! She takes the time to ask what your pets training and needs are so that no time is lost or bad habits gained while your gone! I don't know what we would do without Amanda!
Our dog can get pretty anxious when we leave him in the care of anyone but us. And to be honest, we also get anxious to leave him with just anybody. But we have had Amanda take care of him multiple times now, and both our dog and us have been so pleased. Coming home to a happy puppy is priceless. Speaking of price, her prices are also super reasonable. Cause we love our dog, but not THAT much ;-) So it's nice to get good care at a reasonable price. Highly recommend these guys!
My kids left our gate open, and one of our dogs decided to go on an adventure. Thankfully Amanda was the one who scooped him up, and cared for him in her car, until I could arrive and pick him up. Would absolutely trust her with our pets. Thank you!
Love my dog more than my kids half of the time. Had to leave him for a week. Could not have left him at a better place. They called us halfway through the week to tell us that "he was their buddy". When we picked him up he was washed, fed and calm. My dog told me later that night that he enjoyed his vacation too... Would highly highly recommend this place
Great boarding services! Our dog sitter canceled on us last minute before our vacation, so we contacted Ricmar Kennels and they got us booked right away and were very accommodating. When we picked our dogs up they were happy and healthy. I could tell they had a great time! The staff were very kind, informative, and easy to work with. Our dogs will be back for more doggy fun the next time we are out of town!
Loved Ricmar Kennels! Had a last minute emergency trip and Ricmar was extremely nice and accommodating! Facility was very nice and clean, and our dog seems very happy there. Love that they play with the dogs and let them socialize with each other during playtime. Felt like our dog 'Sugar' was very well treated and cared for. This will be our go to kennel when we need to board our dog! 😀
Luckily we were able to board our German Shepard here overnight to go on a last minute camping trip. They were friendly and our boy enjoyed playing with the other dogs!
They treated our dog Otis very well! he was clean and bathed when we picked him up this is our second time going there and we will for sure be there again with our dog
We are 100% happy with Ricmar Kennels and will most definitely bring our dogs back! We have a socially awkward Czech Shepard who normally stresses when we leave. Our dog had no problem there and even got close with the owner. That shows us that our dogs were definitely happy and taken care of!! Definitely appreciate them for taking care of our pups.
Ricmar Kennels is our go-to place for our dog!!! He gets anxious being away from us, but every time he's stayed at Ricmar Kennels he has had so much fun, and has even not wanted to leave once or twice! The owners take amazing care of the dogs and you can tell they really care. Our pup got lots of play time with other dogs that he got along with, and even was given a complimentary bath before we took him home. We will never go to any other kennel!!! If I could give a place 10 out of 5 stars, this would be the place!
Such an amazing experience. We had to board our dog for a few days, along with his sister, while we were in California. I chose Ricmar Kennels because of the high reviews. When we arrived, I knew it was going to be a great experience for Cap. There weren't any issues while we were gone and Cap was as happy as ever when we picked him up, giving love to the owner before we left. Would definitely recommend for short or longer boarding times.
This place is amazing, and the guys who work there are awesome. They really care about the health and well-being of all dogs. Their facility is very professional, inviting, and so clean. I worked in different kennels for years and I was very impressed by this place. I highly recommend this kennel for your boarding needs. Your dogs deserve it!
We've been using Ricmar for 3 years for our German Shepherd anytime we go on vacation or a long weekend away. He absolutely loves it there and gets to play with other dogs. Their facility is clean and they are very friendly and genuinely care about my dog. I recommend them to anyone that asks.
Bell took care of my 2 doggies over Christmas & it was an amazing experience. I could tell how much fun they had when I picked them up. Bell checked in with photos & updates to ease my mind. Awesome experience! A definite 5 stars! Bell is definitely our doggies new baby sitter! Thank you.
I knew my dogs were cared for to my level care during their stay with Belen. She sent daily updates, easy to talk and communicate with, and loved my dogs. Meeting her I knew she would care for my dogs the way I do. Now that I’ve picked them up and seen how happy but exhausted they were, I knew I made the right choice!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Belen took such great care of our pup over Christmas!! He came home a happy pup and she sent pictures and txt updates the whole time we were gone. Definitely will use her again!
Bell was very accommodating and communicative leading up to our dog’s stay with her. Our dog was with her for almost two weeks and had such a great time! Bell was great at sending pictures and keeping us updated on how our dog was doing. Will for sure use her services again if ever needed!
Bell has been great! I wanted a good place for my tiny dog to interact with other animals and she has had so much fun with Bell and the animals at her home. My puppy comes home exhausted after a day of running and playing with a big dog and little kitten. She's always excited to see Bell! She's conveniently located in Provo and has a spacious, well fenced yard. She's also been patient as we finalize potty training with my puppy. I plan to send my girl here at least one day a week for the foreseeable future.
This was our first time leaving our baby behind for a quick trip and Bell was absolutely fantastic. We got daily updates with pictures and I was super happy to see how my baby was safe and loved :) Bell is super responsive, sweet, and responsable. We even forgot his food bowl upon pick up and she delivered it to my house the next morning! 10/10 thank you so so much!
I could not be more delighted with a daycare center for my dog. Belle goes out of her way to make us feel welcome and my little miniature poodle absolutely loves going to see her. Belle sends midday updates of how my Lucy is doing. I find that my little one is becoming calmer because of her interactions at daycare. Belle has seamlessly integrated Lucy into the " pack" of the other dogs left in her care. If it were possible to leave six stars, I would do so.
My dog loved her 3 day stay with Belen and she didn’t even seem like she wanted to come home so I know she had a great time. Top notch.
Belen is our favorite sitter for our Great Pyrenees. She always has a wonderful time and is so well taken care of. Belen always communicates with us well and she truly loves on our pup.
I have had the pleasure of working with Belen on several occasions. I cannot express how thrilled I am with the exceptional care she provided. From the moment I dropped off my beloved pup to the day of pick-up, the experience was nothing short of pawsitively perfect. She genuinely loves the dogs as she takes the time to get to know them. She always sends regular updates with pictures and videos. The regular updates allow me to unwind on vacation, and to be stress free. I wholeheartedly recommend Belen and am super grateful for her!
Ruff House is the BEST dog daycare!!! We have a 6.5 year old husky who was been going here for a little over 2 years now, and she loves this place more than ANYTHING! The staff is so amazing - I love that Courtney and Hunter regularly give us updates on how Luna's day was, and I really appreciate their overall levels of customer service. It's so fun to be able to walk in and have the staff recognize both me and my dog without me having to say a thing! We (us and the dog) are excited to keep using Ruff House while we live here. The attached photos are from some of the photo updates they provide during overnight stays :)
Okay, so my dog is awesome. Of course she is. At Ruff House, they definitely treat her like the amazing creature she is. They are just as excited to see her and she is to go play her butt off all day and take such great care of her. I don't trust many people with my pup but she always comes back with smiles!
This place rocks. Very similar to our favorite dog place in TX. The staff have done an AMAZING job with our anxiety nutcase dog! The updates on your pup while on vacay is such an awesome plus! And the complimentary bath with extended vacay stay?!? So awesome to have a clean dog upon pick up!
My dog is now a little over 1 year. At about 9 months she had such a bad experience with a groomer. I won't name there here but she was totally traumatized from the experience. Ruff house is where we decided to take her after months of not going to the groomers and of grooming ourselves (she was cute but you can tell she didn't go to a groomer). We looked at reviews and checked the place out and everything was wonderful and exactly what you expect a groomer facility should look like--- and way way more. It was a wonderful experience for her. We are lifetime customers!!
Mary S. has been grooming my Shihtzu for several years. He is not the most well mannered boy when it comes to grooming but she has been awesome! She is very calm and we have never had an issue and he looks gorgeous every time. We had a bad experience with a previous groomer (not at Ruff House) so we are very happy!
Mary did an exceptional job grooming our one year old micro goldendoodle, Mave, who’s had traumatic experiences with PetSmart groomers in the past. PetSmart made it sound like we, his owners, were the problem for Mave’s anxiety, and even flagged us from taking him to another Petsmart groomer. Ruff House was an entirely different experience! Mave looks amazing and seems so happy and confident with his new look and we absolutely love the work she did on him, nothing was untouched. THANK YOU, Mary! We are so happy with the results and will definitely book with you again. After having two separate nightmare experiences at the groomers at the AF Petsmart, I was so anxious about taking him to the groomers again. Thanks to Mary, our confidence in having Mave groomed by a professional, has been restored. FIVE STARS!
We seriously can’t thank the ruff house enough for being so good to our Lady and us for when we book last minute things for our girl! Our girl also absolutely loves going to the ruff house she definitely gets home tired! Now the staff is also always so informative when it comes to her days or just in general how she’s doing. They are always friendly and respectful! They definitely deserve more positive reviews!
I boarded my puppy using the premium boarding package and got updates on her walks and 1 on 1 play time everyday of my vacation. It was so nice getting the multiple pictures a day, it really put me at ease because I knew she was having a lot of fun. Very good staff. They took great care of my baby! I attached an example of the types of pictures I got from her walks and play time. When she wasn't on a walk or 1on1 play time, she was in open play! It's so comforting knowing she wasn't stuck in a kennel all day.
I have boarded my dog here twice now. The first time I left her was great! She had a blast she stayed for two nights. We got updates on her. She seemed to have a blast. The second time I boarded her here. I left her all of the meals she would need, and when I picked her up, they gave me all of her meals back, they didn’t charge me for using their food, so I am guessing she didn’t eat for 3 days because when we got home she was so hungry. I don’t know that I’ll be boarding her here anymore. I will be taking her to Sydney’s Bed and Biscuit instead. I just don’t think they pay enough attention to feeding and caring for the dogs here. My dog is my world and when I board her I need to trust that she will be fully cared for.
Are you looking for a new groomer for your pup? Are you browsing through Google reviews for a great place to take your doggo that is recommended by a bunch of other dog parents? STOP!!! Look no further because Ruff house is the best place you'll find in Utah county. They do an AMAZING job. My Goldendoodle has visited the Ruff house for her hair to be cut, nails trimmed and to be pampered by a professional. Ruff house goes above and beyond, they will exceed your expectations. And they are actually reasonably priced! But don't be cheap - be sure to tip your groomer. They also offer boarding services, but I have not taken advantage of that as of yet.
Somewhere along the line they stopped doing grooming and is just a day care? I have brought my dog for over 3 years, just for her yearly grooming for summer. They were booked a month out, but I waited and did it. They did a fantastic job! I do love them because they dont cage their animals which my dog does better that way. But I felt like they said if I don't routinely get her groomed then I cant come here. They want regulars were you get groomed every 12 weeks or sooner. My dog has never needed that much. She definitely isnt a show dog and is just our emotional support dog for me and my girls since my divorce. So I might have to find a new place to groom her.
I called them on Wednesday and they weren’t able too get out new little Harley in to get trimmed for 6 weeks. I asked them to put me on the cancellation list and they called me back 10 min. later. I wanted him to have a good experience for his 1st time. A bad experience can really scar a puppy where grooming is a necessity for a Yorkie. Lori and her staff have always done a great job, a little hard to get into sometimes. Especially in the summer. But my dogs have always had great experience’s with her and her staff. Thanks guy’s Harley looked great!
I just want to thank On the Spot Pet Care for being so awesome yesterday. We've taken our two dogs here before to get their nails trimmed and were always pleased with the results. Yesterday we rescued a beautiful Sable colored German Shepherd who was pretty neglected. They were great to him and got him all cleaned up and smelling great. They even threw in a new handkerchief for him to celebrate his rescue. Thank you Toni for being so good to our new boy! We'll be back with our other two doggos soon and many times after that!
We had such an amazing experience at On the Spot Pet Care Free socialization class! We will definitely be going back ❤️ the trainer was so helpful in keeping it a safe and fun environment for everyone and answering all of our questions. 5 stars!
Someone please tell me why there is many dogs barking on Sunday with howls and cries if closed weekends??? Do you not care about animals or what??? Someone please explain. Also you will be an abused pet your next life.
The staff is caring and friendly. I was alarmed when I took my dog in last week to get groomed, and when I returned found him majorly limping and in a lot of pain :( I understand that things happen, and the staff did help me try and figure out what occurred. The odd thing was that they had originally thought the limp was normal, due to age, because in their system it said that my dog was16 yrs old... (I don't understand how this happened? he's 7) and continued to groom him. My dog is very loved and quite popular with my family and friends, so everyone was horrified by seeing him in pain, but he's also been very spoiled during this time and is recovering well. A vet friend came to my house to check on him, and ended up giving me the same advice/suggestions that the owner of On The Spot did. I don't know that we'll personally be back, but I do think the staff is kind, caring, and again, injuries can happen anywhere...
They are in a convenient location for me so I took my dog here for grooming but they did a hack job on his ears. I feel like a trim doesnt mean cut his ears off and stay true to the breed you are doing. Shihtzu should have ears that hang down somewhat and the hack job wasn’t even on both ears so he looks extra goofy. I would like to know who is good here because I was not happy with the results.
We LOVE On the Spot Pet Care! When my baby Skittles was staying overnights, we never worried about him because he was always well cared for, had great socialization, and we had glowing reports when we returned to get him! The facility may be small and older, but the love and care these employees show to the dogs make much more of a difference than if the place were big and brand new. These dogs don't get neglected or forgotten, they each are remembered by name and given attention and have constant socialization throughout the day, which I greatly appreciated when I knew I had to leave him in a foreign place. Not only do they have great overnight pet care, but they have awesome grooming services too! For a 3 night or more stay, your dog gets a free bath! Our little boy looked awesome after each cut/wash. Not only do they look great, they feel great too! Go and check them out! You won't be disappointed!
I wasn't happy with how my last pet daycare was handling my dogs. I gave this place a try, and I am very happy with them! I appreciate that they keep a close eye on all of the animals and avoid trouble as much as possible. They seem to really like my dogs, and the fact that I can keep an eye on them whenever I stop by is highly appreciated. I also like that they separate play areas by how active the dogs are. I don't need to worry about too much roughhousing when my dogs are hanging out with all of the calmer smaller dogs. A great place!
Took my Portuguese Water Dog pup here for the first time for doggie daycare and was very impressed right off with how kind the employees are! The check-in process was quick and easy. It was comforting to be able to rely on someone experienced to watch my pup when I was in a bind. I loved that he was able to socialize with so many different breeds under the careful watch of employees. It was reassuring upon picking my puppy up that he had been well taken care of during the day (bonus that he was well tuckered out after playing all day!). Next time I need a dog sister I’ll be using On the Spot Pet Care!
We have left our Golden Retriever here 3 times now. This last time he wouldn’t give me a proper goodbye because he was so excited to get inside and play with his friends (the moment we pulled up he was ready to ditch me). Sydney’s Bed and Biscuit is easily the best boarding facility we’ve ever used or toured. I thought I was ahead of the game when I called in September for our Christmas trip- but they were booked. I got on their waitlist and booked elsewhere and was super relieved when we got a call the first week of December that a spot had opened up for Winston. They have a fun space for the dogs to play in: the summer time has a kiddie pool! Their kennel space for the larger dogs is quite generous in comparison to other places we looked at. The owner (Cole) even took a few photos of our good boy to send me as I was missing him. I’m very grateful for the effort that was put in by all the staff to helping our dog’s stay be the best it could be- huge shout out to Michaelanne’s awesome customer service! They also do a 10% discount for a stay of 5 nights or longer! I will never stop recommending this place!
I started taking my husky here for daycare after I had a change in work location. These guys have been so patient and loving with my boy Jackal. He can be a bit crazy at times, but everyone at Sydney’s B&B has shown him and me nothing but the best treatment.
Well...the staff are so friendly and I think they are genuine. However, our dog came home with severe diarrhea and a sore on his nose. He did not eat for a couple of days after arriving at home. He was shaking when we picked him up and for several hours after getting home. I considered the diarrhea coincidental to perhaps some anxiety of being away from home (and that is what they said), but then I read the reviews and saw that so many others have had that problem! Did he eat the wrong food? Another dogs poop perhaps? Also, the sore on his nose... part of his nose has a knick out of it. Again I considered it just a fluke until I saw someone saying that their dog had the same problem! Strange! Maybe there is a sharp place on a fence or something!? Or a fight with another dog? Hmmmm. Not sure. I feel like I should have asked to tour the facility before we left our dog there. They have so many dogs there at once. I bet it is hard to manage all of them. I think our dog is scared of that many other dogs at once too. He is pretty old. So I just don't know.
I love this place! My dog is always well cared for and happy and healthy when I come to pick her up. You can tell the employees love their job and the dogs they're entrusted with.
This is the best boarding in the valley. The last time we left our two dogs Archie and June there, one of them suffered seizures and went into a coma (he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had a very fast acting brain tumor). Cole was so caring and treated our pet as his own. We had to put Archie down while we were on vacation and Cole went above and beyond. He traveled back to pick up our other dog June so that she could be with Archie when he passed away. It really meant a lot to us how much care and love our dogs were shown by Cole. He took this awesome photograph of Archie for us.
We love it here and so does our dog. It’s safe and the prices are fair. Your pooch is returned clean after having a bath. I recommend it to all my dog owner friends who need to kennel their dog during trips.
We’ve taken our baby Dixie to about 3 different dog boarding places around the area and after visiting this place we knew this would be her forever boarding home! She stayed for 8 days and was so well taken care of and had so much fun. We were able to text the owners whenever we wanted updates and we knew she was in great hands. When we picked her up she was all clean, smelled better than ever and didn’t want to leave! We’ll definitely be bringing her back for more daycare dates in the future. This is the best place around 💓
Our dogs seemed like they Loved it here!!! The guy in charge was such a nice guy and really loved our dogs. We had them here for 5 days and so we really did our research because trusting your dogs with someone you want to make sure that someone is good with dogs! I've only heard good things!! They even gave our dogs a bath!!! We will continue to bring our pups here! :) Thanks!!!
Sydney's is the only place I will board my dog, Howie. Cole is so kind and he knows all of the dogs personally. He gives Howie a bath before he comes home, which is a total bonus!
Sydneys is family owned and operated. They care about the quality of care and not the number of dogs they can fit in the day, unlike most other places we have tried. We have been going to Sydney's for years. Our first dog, who was a border collie, who never did well bordered anywhere until we found Sydney's. He did so well there that we kept sending him. We now have another border collie, and he loves it so much there, he acts like it is his second home and the owners are his family. He is so excited even the mention that he gets to go and play there with the other dogs. It is so nice to see the owners each time we go. The excitement my dog shows when he sees them tells me all I need to know. They treat him well, and they know border collies since Sydney's is named after their much loved border collie. It is so nice that we always see the same faces now that we saw way back when we used to bring our old dog here, and they remembered us and our old dog even after his passing 5 years ago. These guys are great and we wouldn't trust our dog to anyone else.
Amazing amazing amazing. It’s been almost 2 years since Sarah trained us and our puppy. Everyone comments on how well behaved and trained she is. Sarah taught us how to communicate with our puppy and safely use training tools. This helps keep the dog safe in public, with other dogs, and at home. This also helped our dog fit in smoothly into our daily life and leaves us able to shower her with all the love a fur baby deserves!
Sara is not a dog trainer she is a dog wizard! The first time she stepped into our yard, without saying one word, just her vibe and presence alone immediately calmed our excitable and overly friendly jumpy dog, Ginger. I’m a marriage and family therapist and use Ginger as a therapy dog in my office every day, and she is also the #ChalkBus mascot and goes all my events. Thus, we really needed Ginger to learn how to be calm and read different people’s comfort around dogs. Everyone always compliments us on how well-behaved Ginger is. We have Sara to thank for that. Sara is knowledgeable, experienced, patient, and takes all the time you need to educate you and help you feel capable and successful. I recommend her all the time to everyone.
I contacted Bakers Acres because our mixed breed, a Great Pyrenees/Golden Doodle, was displaying reactive behaviors towards other dogs, as well as towards humans engaging in activities such as running, skateboarding, and biking. There was a particularly concerning incident where he went after another dog while I was on a run, causing me to fall. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured, but I knew I needed to address these behavioral issues. To start, I began attending Saturday Pack Walks with the hope of helping Chief become more comfortable around other dogs. Progress was slow, but each week, I saw small improvements. Despite this progress, Chief still had lingering issues, making me uncomfortable to walk him. Ultimately, I made the decision to invest in professional training, and I'm so glad I did. Through this process, I came to the realization that I also needed to be trained on how to handle Chief's reactive behaviors. I can't recommend Bakers Acres enough! Sarah, the trainer, is consistently available and provides straightforward, effective guidance. She is clear and firm with the dogs, which is necessary when dealing with behavioral challenges. As a responsible dog owner, I am committed to creating a safe environment for both my dog and others. Even after the training, I continue to attend Pack Walks and appreciate the opportunity to connect with other dog owners. It's reassuring to know that Sarah is always there for any ongoing support or issues that may arise.
There is no business or company better than Sara and Bakers Acres to train your dog. Our first experience with Sara was 4 years ago with our female Boston Terrier. Sara was phenomenal. My sister referred us to Sara after having such a wonderful experience with her Labrador. Sara involved our whole family in our dog’s training. She taught us all what to do to help with training. We were all in. Our girl also attended Daycare at Sara’s, which was invaluable for helping her become a well socialized dog. Daycare involved training from Sara, as well. Now we are having Sara help us with a somewhat reactive male Boston, who is two years old. Though he’s older, Sara knows how to help him become the well behaved dog we’d like him to. We recommend Bakers Acres to anyone that is looking for effective training for their dog. In your own home and at Sara’s, your dog will become the well behaved and loving companion you want them to be. You will not be disappointed.
We have pit bulls (Ruger and Remii), and from the first call with Sara we knew she was the right trainer for us! She asked so many questions to understand not only our dogs, but us as well. Our first training session was last week, and we are thoroughly impressed with her. She introduced herself to both of us, and was so kind and loving towards our dogs. Her passion for training is palpable. We love that her program is designed to train the dogs, but that it holds us - as the owners - accountable. We also love all of the tools and resources that Sara has to train with. We can see that she is not just out here training dogs, but she’s passionate about creating a community for all of us, that we can be a part of as long as we want. We can’t wait for the first pack walk we can attend! We are so excited to keep training with Sara, and we look forward to the continuous improvements with our doggos.
I contacted Baker’s Acres for help with my new puppy. We already own a professionally trained dog, and I was feeling frustrated with our new puppy that we weren’t having much success with training here at home. After my call with Sara, I felt much more confident. She helped me realize that first, he was a puppy and that some things would just take time as he grows. Second, she reassured me that reinforcing good behavior every day was paramount. She gave me good advice for future choices like neutering and vaccinations, as well as good advice for now, like a consistent sleep and feeding schedule, not allowing my dog to mark all over, etc. I’m grateful for her insight and help.
Sara is very knowledgeable and answers all our questions and concerns kindly. She knows how to change the training to custom work with our dog. She has a very good system, and we are looking forward to continuing our training with her. She has helped us feel confident in our efforts, and we love working on our homework. She involves our kids in the training, so we can all help and be consistent. I highly recommend Sara and Bakers Acres.
Bakers acres was the best experience for us! I am not necessarily a dog person and was very nervous about getting a puppy. My family begged and begged and I finally caved. I knew I had no idea how to raise a puppy and researched dog trainers. I was lucky enough to find Bakers Acres! Sara is so knowledgeable and patient. I always call her the dog whisperer. When you work with her you not only get a trainer but a friend for life. I would recommend this amazing academy to anyone who owns a dog.
I called Sara at Baker’s acres to help me with my new puppy who was having difficulty with potty training, nipping, and jumping up on me. He was showing me a lack of respect and being very demanding of my time: just not having good manners basically. She gave me great tips and one in particular that changed everything for the better.. that was: just like a baby needs to go down for a nap, put your puppy down for a nap and he will be more focused and calmer, less agitated, and boy was she right! I have a different dog! He is obedient, he’s focused, his manners have improved 100% on just one simple thing: getting enough sleep. He goes into his kennel without any problems. After implementing the other techniques Sara modeled for me, my new puppy now is more respectful of me as well and does not do any of the bad behaviors he was displaying. 🎉
Sara Baker was a lifesaver! Being first time pet owners we were overwhelmed with our new puppy! Sara offered to give us a free consultation. In that first meeting, she gave us the tools to teach our puppy not to have accidents in his crate anymore, and she gave us our life back. No more taking turns around the clock to watch the little pup. From there we were hooked. She taught the whole family how to handle all things with our new little puppy. From potty training, to feeding, walking, and behaving. He is the most well behaved little guy! And the most popular member of the family! We are so grateful to Baker's Acres! We would recommend to anyone!
Our cats LOVE when Stephanie is staying with them. She genuinely cares about them, gives us loads of updates and pictures, and them come running to greet her when she comes. They seem settled when we come home too, and that helps with the transitions. Cannot recommend her enough. She great with the cats and a sweetheart in general.
Stephanie was professional and caring in every way, even managed to gain the trust of our ultra timid kitty and lure him out of hiding within a few days :-) She was thorough, responsive and sent regular pics/videos daily which was so appreciated, never having left ‘the boys’ with a petsitter for so long. I can highly recommend Stephanie, your babies will be in great hands. Her colleague Julie was lovely too.
Stephanie is the best cat-sitter we've ever had. We have a difficult cat (a 12-year-old who is highly attached to us, and became anxious and unfriendly to strangers after her sister passed away a few years ago), and most sitters understandably dislike spending time with her even if they try their best to connect. Stephanie never gave up, and eventually bonded with our cat in a way that made us feel so much more comfortable when we were away from home. She would sit and talk to her even when our cat would hiss or swat. It sounds silly, but Stephanie saw the best in her! And it paid off – they have really formed a special connection. Beyond that, Stephanie is incredibly responsible and communicative. She always sends photos and videos from her visits, which make us smile and allow us to relax knowing that our cat is being cared for.
Stephanie will be our go-to cat sitter going forward! We are new to the area and needed care for our two cats while we were out for spring break. I contacted Stephanie and she took thorough notes about our house and cats. Everyday she sent us a report with photos and it was clear that the cats increasingly enjoyed her company. It was nice to know she was giving them the love and attention they needed while we were away. Our cats were happy upon our return and that's what really matters.
I found Stephanie through her Pinebrook Petsitting website. My cat Batman and I feel so incredibly fortunate to have Stephanie step in when needed. She absolutely goes way above and beyond what she is payed for. She obviously cares a great deal about my cat, and sends me photos and videos while she is in my home. I trust her so much, that I let her hang onto my key for future pet sitting. I simply cannot say enough positive things about Stephanie. You will be in wonderful hands with Pinebrook Petsitting. -Heather and Batman.
Stephanie has been an outstanding cat sitter for my two cats during the past year for periods of time ranging from 2-10 days. It is apparent that she likes animals and the cats are calm and relaxed when I return. She is reliable and has thoughtfully texted photos of the cats while I am away. Stephanie goes above and beyond what she needs to do and, for example, has brought in mail and packages, etc. Knowing that Stephanie is caring for my two cats while traveling is very reassuring to me and I am sure they are well taken care of while I am away. She is a great animal sitter!
Hello Stephanie - Jim Wise here from next door 1995 until 2000. Hope Clint, you and the girls (all grown up now) are doing well. I am sure your Dog Sitting is the finest in town and matches your great love of all living things. Take care Jim & Mary - Vallejo, CA 94591
Stephanie was awesome. Her love of animals shines through as she picked up on my pets personalities right away. She took it seriously and took notes. Even thought i told her she could skip the litter, she scooped it daily. She took my dog on walks despite the blizzards. I really appreciated the photos she took on every visit! She did extras like picking up packages and putting my trash out. I’m a veterinarian and would highly recommend her!
Stephanie has looked after our cat, Chloe, for some time now when we travel. She is very reliable and clearly loves cats.Stephanie will visit the house as many times as we agree to make sure all is in order. It is a relief to be able to go away knowing that Chloe is in safe hands.
Steph did a fantastic job taking care of my two cats. She went above and beyond while I was gone. She sent pictures, reported on their eating and stayed/played with them for awhile. She also let me know packages were delivered and brought them inside. Fantastic service and I will be using her again.
In Jan. 2023, we flew to Arizona to meet Chad, his team and Nirvana. She was less than a year old then but it was evident from her demeanor and her training that she would be just what we were looking for in a level 2 protection dog. Chad and David delivered her to us in September 2023. We received two days of training from them, including scenario and command training. We could not be happier with the dog that we received and the expertise of the HCPD team. Nirvana is obedient, loving and extremely loyal. She does not leave my side when I am home and when I am not at home, she does not leave my husband's side. As we have never owned a protection dog, nor a Malinois before, we were a little apprehensive about the breed and her abilities. She innately knows that we are her people and her job is to protect us. She is cuddly, loving and an amazing family pet, yet is always ready to be there should we need her protection services. We are reassured every day that we made the best decision choosing Nirvana and HCPD.
We have had our a High Caliber Protection dog for over a year now. I believe a honest and thorough review is due. It’s amazing how gentle and social, a personal protection Malinois can be (when properly trained and socialized from a young age). Not going to lie…I was nervous about getting your protection dog when I have a two year-old running around the house…especially a MALINOIS! This was an investment that I was not going to take lightly. I’ve reached out to the best protection dog trainers/providers in the US, and after dozens of emails, hours of conversations, and several visits… I knew that my family would be best protected by a Malinois bred, raised, and trained by High Caliber Protection Dogs. Through my research, I have learned that most providers import a dog and finish its training, then deliver it to their clients. Some only have the dogs for a couple weeks prior to delivery! David and Chad have personally bred, raised, and train each dog that they provide…and built the dog for our specific needs. David and Chad were thorough on educating me on what, how, and why they treat and socialized the dogs the way that they do. I understand why Kimber is incredibly balanced. She is our goofy, relaxed, crazy (yet controlled), and loving family member 100% of the time, yet she is aware 100% of the time. Her situational awareness is next level. The amount of peace and security she brings to my family is priceless. The combination of passion, dedication, knowledge, and experience. David and Chad have towards developing this breed to its full potential is unmatched. We can’t thank you enough for our Kimber. She is one of the best things to happen to our family.
We got Judge a short while ago but it feels like we have had him forever. He is so well rounded and well behaved he fits our lifestyle perfectly. I barrel race and Judge goes with me and is always the star of the show. He seriously has a fan club. His unique skills come in handy every single day at home or out and about. I don’t worry about late races or traveling alone because I have Judge. He is good with kids, other dogs, horses, livestock and handles the chaos of horse shows like a champ. Chad and David are incredibly knowledgeable in their field and produce amazing dogs. I get tons of compliments on Judge and always, ALWAYS recommend High Caliber.
I bought Flash justo over a year ago for personal protection because I am a widow with daughters at home. From selecting the right dog for my family to training me on all that goes along with owning a protection dog David and Chad have been professional, thorough, patient and kind. When they delivered Flash they made sure that I was 100% confident in my ability and have always been there to answer and questions that have come up since. I knew when I bought Flash he would be the BEST PROTECTOR for my family but Flash has become my best friend, hiking buddy, travel companion, grand-daughter entertainment, couch/movie watcher.... I have been around several High Caliber Protection dogs on a regular basis and have found them all to be the most confident, stable, loving, obedient, happy and fun dogs you could ever find. I can honestly say the money I spent buying Flash has been the BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT ON MYSELF AND MY FAMILY!!! I will always own a High Caliber Protection Dog!
Purchasing Jinx from High Caliber Protection Dogs a year and a half ago stands as one of the best decisions my wife and I ever made. Owning a protection dog exceeded our expectations in ways we never imagined. Jinx brings an unparalleled sense of peace of mind into our lives. She accompanies my wife everywhere - from shopping at the mall to running errands at the grocery store. She is the perfect protective companion, socialized incredibly with kids, adults, and other animals. Jinx possesses remarkable situational awareness, drive, and an impressive off switch. Whether lounging on the couch or joining us on hikes, as long as she's with her mom, she's happy haha. I love these dogs so much that I can't wait to get another one. Jinx is priceless to us; no amount of money could make us part with her. What's even better is that it's not just Jinx who possesses these remarkable qualities. Being a local resident, I've had the privilege of spending time with most of the dogs available for sale at their facility. And let me tell you, they are all incredible. While each dog showcases their unique personality, what truly astounds me is their consistent temperament. Every single one of them has been perfectly socialized. This speaks volumes about David and Chad. Their ability to consistently produce dogs of this caliber is a testament to their expertise in breeding and extensive knowledge of this particular breed. After searching for five years, I finally found the perfect protection dog company. I wouldn't dream of purchasing a dog from anyone else. These dogs are truly exceptional in every way imaginable. Thank you guys for giving me the dog of my dreams!
I recently purchased a level 1 personal protection dog from High Caliber Protection Dogs and I can't say enough about the level professionalism. Chad invited us to meet the dogs and helped me to choose a dog that will meet my needs. Chad and David then finished her training with specifics skills we need for our home and horse property. They then spent the delivery day with us and answered all our questions. Our dog is perfect fit for our lifestyle! I look forward to my continuing relationship with Chad and David.
We purchased a protection dog 5 months ago and we are very happy. We take our dog everywhere and she is well behaved in all situations. Chad and David were a pleasure to work with and unlike the other companies they raise their dogs from puppies. Most other protection dogs we looked at were imports that were trained here for only a few months. High Caliber is the real deal.
I am a single female who purchased a level 3 personal protection dog from High Caliber Protection Dogs in October of 2022, after being the victim of a violent crime in my own home. Chad, Karly & David were so empathetic and understanding of the situation and paired me with the absolute perfect dog for my lifestyle and needs. They were so thoughtful and thorough throughout the entire process. My dog Striker has greatly impacted my quality of life, since the very first day he arrived. The level of professionalism they have and the extent of training they invest into these dogs is astounding, and superior to any other company I interviewed. From the day Striker arrived, he bonded to me in a way I never anticipated. The introduction and training they do, on delivery, is so extremely valuable. I immediately started traveling with Striker via airplane, car and even motorcycle. He is so well rounded, and stable minded, his versatility amazes me every day. He is gentle and loving, on top of being an amazing working dog. He immediately bonded with my little boston terrier and is unfazed by my loud motorcycles, going to the shooting range, and any new situation I introduce him to, he tackles with confidence and curiosity. I could not be any happier with my decision to purchase from HCPD, and I would do so again, without hesitation. I absolutely adore this dog and trust his ability to do his job efficiently and effectively. I gained back my freedom & self confidence because of him and he is only so special because of their deep commitment, experience and consistency with each dog they train.
My wife and I searched the country for a dog to fit our needs. We eventually met Chad and the way they raised their own dogs and delivered them was unique. He managed the process and were honest about what to expect. Chad and David delivered Lazer 6 months ago and we could not be happier. Not a day goes by that we don’t get a complement on our dog’s behavior in public.
We absolutely love Gina! She has trained both of our Belgian Malinois in the puppy to adult program. I am always shocked how they come home completely different dogs! I also use Gina to board and train anytime we leave town! She really does love each dog like they are her own. She is great about giving updates and answering questions even outside of when your dog is staying with her. I also love the environment she provides the dogs in her home and with her other dogs. She is very knowledgeable and outstanding at what she does! 100% worth the time and money!!
Gina has trained two of my dogs, Greater Swiss Mountain Dog age 10 and French Bulldog from 12 weeks of age. Sending my dogs to be trained by Gina was the best decision. Once they learned basic obedience and the meaning of no etc., Gina introduced the Ecollar, which is one of the best training tools. My follow up sessions with Gina taught me what I need to do at home to keep training. I trust Gina with my dogs 100% and the results are amazing.
Gina, was amazing with our dog Oxford, he came home from the four week training a very different dog. The skills Gina taught him have changed our daily lives tremendously, it was well worth the investment for Oxford and our family! I would highly recommend her services for your dog training needs. Thank you @Gina.
Gina has helped us to train two Akita puppies. Not only did she lead our boys through a very effective puppy training, but she also guided us through continuing their training at home. When we began having some behavioral issues after our older dog turned 3, Gina was available to help talk us through what he might need to bring his behavior back in line. Her calm and confident approach when working with a dog and her understanding and kindness when guiding the dog’s owner are what really make Gina stand out. Thanks Gina!
Gina is awesome! I’ve had two puppies in training with her over the past year and I wouldn’t trust them with anyone else. I was very concerned about trainers ability to be gentle when dealing with rambunctious, curious, free spirited puppies. She is never heavy handed, always kind and instructive. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
Gina did an amazing job training our 2 year old Bichon Frise. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing training. He now knows his name, all of the basic commands and is great on walks. He was very anxious before we took him and she helped him with that also. She did a phenomenal job!!
I am extremely happy with my experience here! I dropped off my golden retriever for the 4 week program. My dog came back such a great little guy! She spent tons of time going over what she taught him and showing me what to do to continue working on all she had done with my dog! I would receive a multiple updates with pictures and a brief message about what was being worked on every week which I really appreciated! I’m amazed at all that my puppy was able to learn during that short amount of time! If you are looking for a trainer, this is the place!!!
I could not be more satisfied with the service provided by Gina! She did an amazing job training my very energetic 10 month old Doberman. I can not recommend her services enough! Will definitely use her for any dog training needs I have in the future.
If there’s one person I trust with my dogs, it’s Gina. She helped me with all the foundations and basic obedience for my dogs and till this day I’m impressed with the work she did. Not only that, after a year she continues to answer any and all questions I have and if any issues arise she’s promptly there to help. She’s also kind, willing and very detailed in explaining the training methods she uses. I really can’t recommend her enough.
Gina is AMAZING!!! Hands down one of the best dog trainers out there. She trained both of our German Shepherds. (One at 9 months old and our other one at 5 years old) she was so thorough when we went to pick them up. She walked us through step by step exactly what we needed to do once we brought them back home. We have had so many compliments whenever we take them on outings. I cannot say enough good things about this woman. We really were at a loss with our 5 year old GSD because we adopted him and he came with some pretty bad habits. Now… he’s an ANGEL of a dog.
